“Thus, it is impossible to conclude from the three published GAST data sets that recent years have been the warmest ever – despite current claims of record setting warming,” according to a study published June 27 by two scientists and a veteran statistician.
The peer-reviewed study tried to validate current surface temperature datasets managed by NASA, NOAA and the UK’s Met Office, all of which make adjustments to raw thermometer readings. Skeptics of man-made global warming have criticized the adjustments.

I seem to recall that in medieval times … if the town butcher put his finger on the scale and CHEATED the customer for personal PROFIT … he was put in stocks in the public square so he could be (appropriately) publicly SHAMED. And he was forced to make restitution to the public he CHEATED.
I would be happy to see each and every Global Warming LIAR, in every public agency, given similar treatment. Public shaming … and restitution for all their ill-gotten gains at the expense of a duped public.

CAGW hysteria is one of the greatest weapons of mass distraction that politicians of all parties have available and it works for them. The faithful clients don’t care about dissenting information, and most dissenters can be stratified politically, reinforcing the political distraction. All western welfare states are virtually bankrupt but “saving the planet” a hundred years out is so much more voter friendly. The institutional “science” whores are just following the money and their political pimps.
Good to see Tim Ball may be getting his life savings spent on legal fees back from Michael Mann who appears to have blown his suit by hiding the data from a Canadian court, something the offending institutions and their progressive sugar daddies are quite alright with.
