  1. The Gov’t of Canada announced a month ago, plans to build 1.3 million houses by the year 2030
    In 7 years !
So far things seem a bit off the pace.

“Building permits have decreased 11.7% in value month-over-month, to $10.5 billion in March, according to data released Monday by Statistics Canada.
Between March 2023 and 2024, building permits fell from $12.4 billion to $10.5 billion, a decrease of 15.2% year-over-year.”

The decline (which we’re all enjoying!) is primarily in the residential sector. Of course.
Remember when the PM announced plans to plant a million trees? or was that a billion? Clearly it doesn’t matter now.

    1. Millions of immigrants to our small country has killed wages for the working poor and destroyed the hope of owning a house for millions of Canadians.

      1. Likewise, Biden’s commitment to spend billions on EV charging stations has come to nothing. Government knows how to lie and generate headlines, but knows absolutely nothing about how to execute.

The rubber is really going to (not) hit the road when the deadlines in 7 states for mandatory EV-only purchases arrives, and it is discovered that none of the necessary infrastructure to support the EV conversion exists.

      2. I could be wrong but if you planted one tree every second without stopping, wouldn’t take about 65 years to plant 2 billion trees?

    1. Surely the solution would be black wigs? Not so uncommon amongst them anyway.

    1. I think a lot of people who perceive themselves as underdogs, prefer the underdog. But it’s not really “pro-Palestine” as much as anti-Israel and supporting Hamas – a terrorist group. You can tell the few “pro-Palestine” supporters as they plead for a ceasefire, while the vast majority are just haters.

    “circle-jerk “
If this goes through then I give up trying to figure out the filter.
