Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

“There should be a monument to Bill Underwood in this country,” Cressman says. “The mindset of what I do came from Bill Underwood, and for very aggressive people, if you would, I took Bill’s original methods and adapted them to incapacitate someone very quickly with your hands.
“But it is the history that is the glue.”
I am petitioning, nay – demanding that Oxford Univ. bestow a Doctrate of Physics to me. With Honors. Why ? Because, according to Oxford, it is time to reward “research” skills as much as “rote memorization” skills. And I assure the faculty of Oxford that I am the most bad-ass Googler, and Wikipediac on the planet. I can copy relevant quotations about quarks faster, and more efficient than anyone ! Who cares if I still don’t have a clue about the mechanism of subatomic particles. Someone else can worry about that ! After … I get FULL credit for copying and pasting. Oh, and PS … I have a pennis … but for the purpose of my Oxford degree … I “identify” as a “woman”
I’m sure you’ll be successful.Congratulations Doctor Kenji. Stay humble now.
How does one fail a history exam?
Thank you, Don … I could just give you a big transgendered, heteronormative, kiss
Poor little girls might get the vapours if they had to compete against men. Every liberal knows that women and minorities are weak and pathetic. Big daddy government needs to pat them on the head and raise them up, give them trophies.
I’m old school. (pun intended).
I’m also a hard core B average. not the best in a mkt swamped with A students.
but, BUT, I made up for the ‘shortfall’ by working my WASP arse off whenever I did land a job.
Years later I figured out the above pattern. I have a learning disability. the *rate* at which I absorb information is about half the average. I maxed out at 3 courses in university. the upside is once I learned something it stuck forever. My working career then morphed into a technique of applying whatever ‘lesson’ to any and all situations that applied. cut and paste on a grand scale. it worked. I retired early, now attend university gratis (age exemption on tuition fees).
but if this ‘lower the bar’ continues, which I expect it will, well, one thing I learned over the years, things can change enormously very fast and unexpectedly. I’m referring to the collapse of western society like a bloated lazy glutton, feeding off past prosperity and mortgaging the future generations.
I’m a ‘baby boomer’ who grew up in a family of alcoholics and got used to finding my own way and entertainment and success. nothing, utterly NOTHING was handed over to historybuff on a ‘silver spoon’. jeezuz, I was so naive about the ‘ways of the world’ I didn’t even know the *meaning* of the phrase ‘silver spoon’. but I knew where it sat on the periodic table. etc etc.
we gotta have virtual coffee some virtual day.
on me. and on you.
that’s ’cause we keep trying to get the other one to blow it out the nostrils making fun of political correctness . . . .
