  1. Not to worry ! Each NDP members PERSONAL credit ratings have been increased several steps. They can all afford to buy their Tesla saloons with cash … but will still let YOU pay for it with your increased energy taxes.

  2. in 2012 there was a report put out that showed the risk of default for each province, when you got to the 30 year time frame Ontario was at 79% and Alberta was at 84%.
Given how each of the provinces have been treating their fiscal situation, I’m sure it’s a race to see which one of them can get that number higher.
Unfortunately, Patrick Brown is no Mike Harris, and Kenney is no Ralph Klein.

  3. Willing to bet that Edmonton is rejoicing with all those NDP government jobs and will feel the pain when the government gets tossed out after the next election.

  4. And then Rachel and buds, having ruined the Alberta economy, will be carpet-baggers vying for positions in the civil service of the next province whose economy they wish to destroy.

  5. Likely BC with the NDP and Greens ready to run the province into the ground…sigh.

  6. Kenney is far better than Klein. And the new Conservative party is far more conservative than the PCAB ever was.
    Klein was never a conservative.

  7. Willing to bet that Edmonton is rejoicing with all those NDP government jobs and will feel the pain when the government gets tossed out after the next election.
I have the misfortune of living in Red Rachel’s riding and I’ve yet to meet anyone who’s rejoicing about the Dippers, let alone confess to having voted for them.
Years ago, many oil companies had regional offices here in Edmonton. During the time of the PCs, particularly when Getty was premier, a lot of those offices were closed and the staff moved to Calgary. Edmonton, on the other hand, became more of a government town than an industrial centre.

  8. The NDP budget is based on $68 oil while actual prices are likely to stay around $50 for their entire 4 year mandate. Whoever takes over next will face growing debt, increasing deficit, a bloated government and an electorate not ready entitlement cuts.

  9. You can pretty much add BC to the list of fool’s paradises in Canada. With the green priests calling the shots between the happy-faced socialists and dour-faced socialists, economic stasis, skyrocketing debt and decline are a certainty. The current crop of looters and thugs in Alberta will have to stock up on loot for the next few years as the happy-faced socialists (“Conservatives”) united against them will very likely end their rule.
