The Left in the U.S. had better pray that any attempt at impeaching Trump fails. Rightly or wrongly, the right side of the political spectrum, and particularly the Trumpistas in flyover country, would not take such an outcome lightly. I’m not sure I wanna be an observer to the Second U.S. Civil War . . .
I too am somewhat concerned. But once all the evidence comes out all GOP Trump support evaporates, I think his base will stand down. If not, what does that say about the intelligence of his base?
That may be, but the troubling part is that to date, no evidence at all has been presented. In fact, when pressed, accusers will admit they have none, then the admission evaporates and they resume the accusations.
The intelligence of Trump’s base, for better or worse, is not the issue. The rage of his base — those people who believe that the elites have screwed them over for decades and, if not stopped, will continue to do so ad infinitum ad nauseam — is what matters. Rage makes a deadly political motivator.
And intelligence, particularly in politics, is highly over-rated. If it truly mattered, The Hair That Walks Like A Man™ would never have been elected to the office of Prime Minister in the first place.

At the start of the American Revolution the people of the Thirteen Colonies could roughly be divided into 1/3 Loyalists (i.e. the “king” is in charge), 1/3 Patriots (i.e. individual freedom fighters) and 1/3 wishy washists (i.e. will go with the side that best benefits them). In my view after 241 years that has not changed. Maybe the biggest miracle was how the heck all the Thirteen Colonies could actually agree on the Declaration of Independence. It took the wishy washists about two years after fighting began to finally decide to join the Patriots…that was when things started turning in America’s favor. And that’s exactly what is needed now for the same reason – to keep whatever “King” supporting loyalists working to subvert and destroy America from taking complete control.

I am a Trump voter who wants all the evidence to be revealed. My problem is that the left has gone loony, and I do not trust the press to report the evidence without spin.
I’m thinking this civil war will take a different direction. Dems have coined the phrase resist. they think they actually have a clue what resistance looks like. I know of whole communities (tens of thousands) that have checked out of the process and made them selves eigther “grey” or totally off grid/underground. Americans woke up at Ruby ridge, Waco. Of course those people are wacky and have silently lived in truth, but take 68 million people and screw them over in such a visable way as this and nullify their votes?? resistance is NOT futile. They think one Timothy McVie was a thing to deal with? they ain’t seen nothing yet, the underground french resistance, the vietnam war and ISIS are fine teachings of resistance. I hope I am wrong but I think home grown terrorist is about to take on all new meaning in the coming years.
