The narrative seems to be going off kilter. It appears there was a politically motivated attack on Trump and his team using high levels of US intelligence services. At some point the man-stream fake news people are going to figure it out. It looks like the Democrats may be the big threat to democracy, not the Russians.
Given the fact Obamabug tried to surveil the world, and Lois Lerner had to take the 5th when confronted with evidence of IRS hits on Dem opponents, plausibility of Dem intelligence chicanery is gaining while the Russian connection is waning, mainly because it was never there.

If it can be shown Obama &/or senior Dems were involved in the surreptitious surveillance of the Trump team and promulgated that information, as it appears they did, there will be hell to pay but as a consequence the American body politic will take a blow.
It will come via a Special Prosecutor and Grand Jury, right after Gorsuch is appointed to the SCOUS, which will tamp town adventurous jurists.
It may mark the end of the supernova of US bipartisanship, which began with the impeachment of Bill Clinton “affair,” followed by virulent hatred back and forth ad nauseam ever since. Will many red state Dems be forced to scurry to their constituent safe places, leaving the legislative field to the GOP?
Perhaps the excoriation of Obama and the progressives will see the emergence of new Phoenix of cooperation between Dems and GOPers.
