Populism in this context is just another invention spinned by the desperate imaginations of the left to demonize the reawakening of common sense conservatism. And really how do you not count Trudeaumania 2 as anything other then populism? It bears a more pronounced shame than the election of Hugo Chavez.

And today … The (Communist) Pope declared that … “populism is EVIL”. “Populism is UN-Christian”. “Populism is NAZISM”.
As a Christian … who loves his Catholic brothers and sisters … with all due respect, Mr. Pontiff, I will read, pray, and contemplate my own “interpretation” of Christ’s words. Gutenberg gave me the ability to do this for MYSELF! Then again, inventing of the printing press WAS a decidedly POPULIST act, now wasn’t it ?
This thing, they call “populism” is designed to degrade democracy and those that vote other than that the international socialist ubermensh insist they should.
You will notice that it is another ‘ism, while it has no basis in anything other than the ubermensh not knowing what to do and to downgrade people that vote democracy.
This thing, they call “populism” will become another derogatory term such as racist, -phobe, take your pick and other such. It is just a matter of time.
The pope got in the act hisself, well studied in the South American liberation theology.
(I’m Catholic probably looked at with squinty eyes.)

The international socialist cannot accept that currently, they are losing the middle ground, in spite of the massive, 100%, wall to wall propaganda by the media/political complex.
If you have noticed in Europe, the ruling primarily German, French governments are threatening those that don’t want the Middle Eastern gangsters in their country, with threatening sanctions.
Can you say international socialist diktat?
As Churchill said and many here pointed that out, democracy is the worst system of government except for all the other that have been tried.
