  5. The problem isn’t George Takei. He’s a mediocre has-been actor who has to try and stay “relevant” somehow, or the royalty checks for stunt casting will stop rolling in. Like that woman who played a space belly dancer on a single episode of the original series and has been supporting herself ever since by selling autographs at Star Trek conventions. It’s the same thing.
    The problem is the vast number of geeks who honestly think that a washed-up wrinkly old queen has anything salient to say about anything whatsoever. This poll is an indication that even that demographic is starting to reject the smug.

  9. The first ever TV show I watched when I arrived in Canada back in 1974 was Star Trek. As an 8 yr old, Star Trek was a great show to watch. However, of all the characters, I always thought Sulu was the most boring (even compared to Uhura–at least she showed a lot of leg and had a nice rack).

    Mack, I understand your sentiment, and a few short years ago I would have agreed. But now it’s time to pick a side and then fight with all you’ve got. In this case it’s either Takei or Trump. It seems like a small to pick on Takei for his views but I see no other way.

    is own. Totally unhinged in that press conference. The GOP does not know what to do. But they will realize soon that impeachment is absolutely necessary. They want to be sure that Pense does not go down too. Me too! Because that would be really ugly. Please, we need a President Pense, sooner than later. You have to realize that Trump is completely incompetent. No qualified people want to join his cabinet. So let’s please get rid of Trump and Bannon and move on to a good competent GOP govt.

  20. I am sorry but I think he is completely imcompetent. I have been saying for weeks that he will not/cannot make a Afull term. If not dumped, he will do a lot of damage to the GOP. They are beginning to panic about 2018. Remember, Bannon wants to blow up the whole system. Now if that is really what folks on this site want, maybe I am wasting my time here.
