  5. Kudos for the good doctor for speaking out at the hysteria sweeping Ottawa. My only observation is the delivery of the message. Is this repetitious droning really necessary. I understand if this message is directed at University students, like the zombie types seen at Shia Lebeouf’s recent artistic livestream project, but for normal free thinking peoples, this repetition is not required. In any event, I suspect this bill will die a death of a thousand cuts, until it becomes another useless bill on the books, paying homage to political correctness, without really accomplishing anything but the expenditure of time and money, something Liberals are really good at.

  6. As a female it sickens me that a female Muslim can bring forth a law that basically enforces a Sharia Law tenet that blasphemy is a hate crime. As a female I will never support a liberal politician again, ever– for providing Islam superior status over all faiths. I’ve watched a genocide in Darfur by the Arab Janjaweed-Muslims. I watched a genocide against Christians in Syria and what is Canada’s priority, ensuring I can’t tell people that nearly a million Christians have been slaughtered in ten years by the followers of global Islam.

  8. For those who defend islam just look at the cost we all bear in our society. Ever expanding security at airports, theatres, sports events and social functions costing in the untold billions. Every plane ticket has a security fee on it. Our lives are being tightened every day by islam and will be further when M-103 is returned from a commission as a law saying islam is fully protected. When several people just like us posting here are arrested for islamophobia and dragged into court perhaps financially broken by a group that always wins, lawyers, how long will any of us post again?

  9. I agree with Northernont, way too much repetition. I saw a comedian at a local nightclub on a Friday night and was impressed with his innovative humour. I went to the same club the next night, and looked in on his comedy routine which was in one section of the club, and he was doing the identical routine. Not quite as funny the second time. I remember thinking, how does he do the same routine night after night. The clip “Is this a picture of Mohamed” should have had someone review it before it went to YouTube.
    Some very good parts in it that might have reached a wider audience with less repetition…

  18. It’s not a bill, it’s a motion. It won’t pass a law.
    Which is why it’s easy to pass, all it takes is one vote by a simple majority, which it will get unless a significant number of Liberal MPs vote against it. And the government (cabinet and the party whips) have said their “weight is behind it”.
    And that’s all Iqra Khalid and whoever is advising her on this are trying to pass. For now. Just an official statement by the Parliament of Canada that it is wrong to say anything that offends the sensibilities of followers of a religion, especially The Religion: Islam.

    To all the Members of Parliament, whatever their party affiliation but especially to the ruling Liberals, I would like to state that I’m offended by the very idea that this motion was given time on the Floor. The very fact that this motion was tabled should be enough to give any thinking Canadian a wake up call to the direction that this country is taking. Acceptance, Tolerance, Submission. There is no solace in hoping that there is an alternative party sitting in the wings to change this direction. That option was squandered when the Canadian populace turfed Harper at the direction of the Main Stream Media. Now there isn’t a politician in the House or on the horizon with the stature of someone like Churchill, who sat in the weeds for almost a decade because of his beliefs. We definitely need a Churchill but unfortunately we do not have the luxury of having a decade to wait, nor do we have a politician that has the stamina or fortitude to stand up for truly Canadian values. They are all too busy kowtowing to minorities who all believe they are more important than the society that empowers them. The thin edge of the wedge was applied many years ago and now the slope is so steep that there maybe no stopping the descent.

    I get it, “diplomatic immunity” like African dictators receive, but they don’t live right across the Open Border and actively import as many Muslims to cross it as Turdeau does.
    There must be some sort of nation security clause that would exempt Turdeau from diplomatic immunity – Why didn’t Trump use it?

Motions carry no legal weight but it only takes a PC high ranking RCMP officer to empower the force to intimidate citizens who dare cross the imaginary and subjective line. The Spawn’s drones will easily pass this motion even without the NDP who will fall in line without hesitation.
    Peterson’s presentation is effective, intentionally making you feel uneasy about the unanswered questions he posits. It must be a lonely place on campus for someone trying to engage students in critical thinking.

Christians don’t even need to commit mass-murder (daily) to become the the objects of HATE. Consider gay couples who SUE to FORCE Christians to bake cakes and arrange flowers for their weddings. FORCING Christians at the double barrels of Civil and criminal lawsuits to abandon their religious freedom ?     We shall see if “this is a picture of Mohammed” after the motion is passed. Apparently all you have to do do raise Muslim activist outrage is show a crude drawing of anything and call it “Mohammed”.
    With ELEVEN Muslim MP’s in Canada, and with only three percent of the population, the Muslims are far more powerful already than most people would believe.
    And with BOTH major political Parties on full tilt suckhole to them,Sharia Law should not be too far away.

  46. The motion is total BS since MP Khalid acknowledged that an almost identical motion was passed in October.
    So what’s the point? The point is to get a word which has no formal definition, formally accepted by the Canadian Parliament. Islamists will cheerfully provide lots of definitions – later. I am formally rejecting it and will not only stop using it, but will challenge anyone who uses it in conversation directed at me, to prove that it even exists, much less has any credibility, validity or even coherence in an English-language conversation.
    That she absolutely refused to remove the word from the motion supports my hypothesis. It could be removed by simply deleting four words in total without altering the meaning and purpose of the motion, which is mostly bluster and obfuscation anyway. In fact, it almost seems like it was ADDED to an existing text! If it is left in, then EVERY other religion in Canada, including native spiritualism and probably even atheism, should get identical mention in the motion.

The arrogant, uncompromising attitude displayed by the Liberal MP pushing M-103, combined with her playing the innocent victim only reinforces the negative stereotypes that so many Canadians have toward Muslims. The Liberal’s unwavering support for this MP’s intransigence only increases the growing polarization in Canada. Instead of bringing Canadians together the Liberal’s position on this issue only seeks to further divide Canada and feed the growing populist movement. If this motion passes without removing the specific references to Islam, it will actually do more harm than good for Muslims in Canada, and solidly entrench the increasing belief among more and more Canadians that Muslims and their Liberal sympathizers can never be trusted.
