Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

This is all a distraction from Trudeau’s unending corruption.
And that’s why it was stupid.
So if a hit piece came out on a conservative should we expect that juthtin has made another gaffe the PMO is trying to cover up?
What did he or one of his ministers do this time?
stupid seems to be contagious.
“In any event, Kevin O’Leary is about to level the playing field between the CPP and the Liberals.
Yup, there’s a guy who won’t be consorting with no multi-millionaires….
Nobody drove the conservative party into the ditch last election. Brainless voters did that, with lots of help from Canadian media.
The biggest mistake the conservatives made was not pressing ahead with the ethics probe of Trudeau. Rona consulted with and was cleared by the ethics commissioner. Trudeau didn’t. Here is a hint conservatives never back down when you are right.
That sucks. Not that anything would have come from Trudeau’s scandal anyway. Rules don’t apply to liberals.
Like the US, Canada has had a uni party for quite some time. There are occasionally blips, like Mike Harris, but for the most part the actual conservatives get Stockwell Day’ed. Most “Conservative” leaders in this country are the Ed Broadbent/Joe Clark variety.
What’s that you say? Broadbent never ran for the PC party? What would he have done differently if he did? Leitch is getting the most severe treatment currently. But Bernier, who appears to be the closest thing to a libertarian to ever come out of Quebec, could breakthrough as well.
I will never live to see it, but I hope to see the PM hopeful one day, who at the French/English debate, simply says in his native tongue: “do you want someone who can do the job, or someone who can say what you want to hear in your language”. Then drops the mic and simply walks out. As for what language that is, maybe there is an Inuit Margaret Thatcher out there waiting. Who knows. Or a Cree Churchill, or someone.
Years ago I heard a strange little man speak very wise words, “Liberal, Tory same old story.”
We need another Reform party.
