Bye, bye citizen Obama.
As many of you know, I wasn’t a Trump fan. I didn’t believe he could defeat Clinton. I had great doubts. I lacked understanding. I still have concerns about his presidency, primarily because I am a western Canadian. I am a believer in trade and I think some of the promises that President Trump has made will impact my region and my country. C’est la vie. Mea culpa to those who knew better, I didn’t.
Having said all that, were I an American citizen, had I a vote, I would have crawled over broken glass, volunteered to clip the wire at the Somme, been on Utah on the 6th of June to vote against Hillary Clinton.
I would have voted Trump.
She who lied over the caskets of fallen diplomats. She who instigated the entire Libyan folly. She of the “Russian reset”. She with such disregard and disrespect of American, Canadian, and the other ‘Five Eyes’ confidentiality that she decided it was okay to send it in the clear. That beast had to be kept from the Presidency. Regardless of what happens, regardless of my doubts, regardless of the whiny D’s in the States, this is the best day this year.
She had to lose and I am grateful to the American people who, with their vote, with their franchise, are always right and in my opinion, made the correct choice.
I’m happy for you. Drink ALL THE BEER because I am.

After decades of degradation by a corrupt bipartisan establishment, Americans finally have a good chance to make the country great again.
Canada has always seemed to lag behind America by about four years, and I sincerely hope that this day marks the beginning of a turning point for Canada too. Hopefully we can throw off that entrenched leftist establishment and make Canada great again. But, if that means creating the Republic of Western Canada behind a leader like Brad Wall who puts Canadians first, then so be it. A Trump-Wall alliance to bypass the leftards in Ottawa would be a good start. Hopefully there are still enough real Canadians who haven’t sold-out to the NWO to make that happen.
It will be difficult not to smugly smile and say “I told ya so” to the leftards I know who said Trump would never be President of the USofA.

The U S Federal bureaucracy has grown and festered to a size that exists only to FEED itself. Trump is right. Certain areas of the US look like Germany at the end of WWII. Onerous regulations shut down factories. Trade deals were entered into willly-nilly with little or nothing done for the millions of people who lost their jobs. Sure, there were some training programs, but they didn’t help many people, and few made as much money in the new job as they had in the old. Whole communities were destroyed. Many people with no hope and no prospect of work turned to drugs. There is an epidemic of heroin, meth and opioid use in these areas. Deaths due to drug overdoses have exploded. These people, mostly white with not much eduction were treated with contempt by many in both parties. They were rednecks, they were ignorant hicks, they were stupid. I pray that he can help these folks get back on their feet.

Well, in common current parlance, a semi-auto is sort of in the style of a 1911 (Luger just didn’t have the same staying power). If you do a search on any site that sells handguns, they will distinguish between semi automatics and revolvers very very different in style and use). Quite different construction. So think Glock vs S&W Bodyguard 38 Special revolver. The key is that one (the semi auto) will definitely kill you, the other (revolver) might not, depending on which chamber the bullet is in.

Just got in with wife and small granddaughter from a nice restaurant meal. Nice to have a break from the television. I have heard so much from the television monoliths CTV and CBC on Trump, Trump, Trump and more Trump. I try to tune it out as the T/V is shared. Still on and on they go. The Fifth Estate, an otherwise excellent program sometimes are doing a number on Trump. Sexual smears and no proof.

An automatic pistol would be a machine pistol. These are illegal in the US. A semi automatic requires trigger reset and a separate trigger pull for each round. Pistols that are referred to as semi automatics have a straight magazine that sequentially feeds bullets into a single chamber. There are wrinkles as to whether or not the trigger pull both cocks the striker (or hammer) and releases it (double action) or merely releases the striker/hammer (single action). Some pistols do double on the 1st round, single on the rest. But after the 1st round, all bullets are chambered by the recoil action of the slide.
Now, strictly speaking, revolvers are an earlier version of a sort of semi automatic, but they are either double action (trigger advances the cylinder and pulls the hammer back) or they require manual hammer cocking. But the action firing the pistol does not load a new round in a chamber. The chambers are preloaded. So it’s a bit of a stretch to call them semi automatic. And they are not referred to as semi automatics. A revolver has multiple chambers and each one is manually loaded before firing the pistol.
