I’ll be hitting the road early tomorrow morning for Seattle-Portland dog shows, and will be offline for much of the next two weeks. Lance and company will hold down the fort as best they can, and I should be checking in from time to time, but expect posting to slow down.
It’s supposed to be -31C (windchill -43C) tomorrow at 4am when I finish loading up the van. I’m told we do this because it’s fun.

  3. Looks like the lieberal pretorian guard RCMP is back into gun banning as noted in an email I got frim TheRebel today. Apparently having and engraving of “Molon Labe” and a maple leaf on a rifle which was allowed to be sold in Canada suddenly constituted a “modification” that made it a prohibited rifle. Link at:

They floated a story that Trump went to Russia and hired hookers to give each other golden showers and that FSB was blackmailing him. They swallowed the bait whole and ran it. These reporters have a mental disease.

Yes you read it right, they do not like the engravings so they decided to turn law abiding Canadians into instant criminals. A pure show of force by Librano enforcers allowed to run amok.   9. This was epic, I was driving home from work tonight, tuned in to 680 news in and this was the hot new story, bells ringing and all that. They were sharing the outrage, yep the same people who did not blink an eye when Libranos legalized sodomizng 16 year olds, were outraged, outraged I tell you, at the false story about consenting adults.
    That story was immediately followed by the news that Ogabe will stay in public eye and not leave politics. And they wonder that people listen to them for traffic and weather updates and then switch the channel.

Moreover RCMP has a long established history of arbitrarily banning guns and gun components engravings or not. There is no rhyme or reason to series of bans RCMP pushed for in recent years, just random insults from the JBTs to the gun owners. Because they can and because they are worthless thugs, one and all.

    I guess he had to do his speech in Chicago otherwise the crowd would have been awfully thin.

    The National Weather Service tweeted a list of snow reports shortly before 1 a.m. Wednesday. North Portland topped the list with a foot of snow, eight inches fell downtown and the airport got six inches, according to the list.
    The snowfall comes during possibly the coldest winter in two decades and on the same day a homeless man was found dead, apparently of hypothermia. The number of exposure deaths in Portland so far this year equals the city’s total from the last five years.

    The only thing that shocked me was the lack of bras and panties thrown on stage.
    Otherwise, as ZERO is wont to do, the speech was self-serving, self-congratulatory, and a fantasy version of the last 8 years. I’m surprised he didn’t award himself another medal.

    Every time the question has come up about nuclear, the answer is always that the plants are too large for Saskatchewan to do effectively. Too costly.
    I agree that the province should start replacing coal plants with nukes or supplementing, but the coal plants, with CCS and scrubbers, could be cheaper and as environmentally friendly as most of the other options. Can’t wait for a nuke generator in every town like in northern Europe, where the hot water not only generates electricity, but also heats the entire town. Pipe dream I know, but it would be interesting to see.

  31. The RCMP should have been removed from the equation of gun classification by Stephen Harper when he was in a majority position, and replaced with a permanent civilian Board. Many of us wrote the PM and justice Minister,and in may cases even recommended well qualified persons to sit on said Board.
    I was “thanked for your input”, as was everyone else who contacted the CPC government, a politician’s polite way of saying,”piss off peasant your opinion doesn’t count”.
    So,due to the reluctance of the Conservative government we’re still stuck with Provincial Firearms Officers and the RCMP in charge of gun classification. The RCMP will whittle away at the issue until we are allowed one single shot long gun, locked in a safe with ammo locked in a separate safe.
    Next on the RCMP/Liberal agenda will be a federal initiative much the same as the Toronto gun seizure from Seniors a few years ago. The msm will in their wisdom agree that it’s a good idea.

Anyone who had to deal with the Gun registry knows that the proficiency level there was abysmal. Now, imagine the same silly servants administering payroll!
    It’s a belated payback by Harper, et al, on the silly servants who hated the CPC.

  37. WEll, it looks like some of our Syrian refugees are getting nervous. Benefits run out for many as of mid February. After that they can get welfare, but it is less than they had been getting. My understanding is that many of the Syrians brought to Canada were persuaded to come, even though they were living in apartments in Turkey and could easily have returned to Syria once thing settled down. Now they are stuck in a northern waste land with few prospects for decent jobs. I feel very sorry for them. I think they were taken advantage of. The Liberals never took time to look at what was reasonable in terms of bringing in refugees. Now, communities and Provinces will be stuck footing the bill. Liberals simply wanted to use the refugee situation to paint the Conservatives as “uncaring.” WELL, who is uncaring now? This is so typical of the way Liberals will maniuplate voters — and the stupid voters seem to go for it again and again.

    ALL parties attempt to manipulate the stupid voters, that’s how to win. Each of the three major parties have about 25% of the voters committed to their party line. Those party faithful comprise most of the intelligent voters in any party. Every campaign manager should know they can’t pull intelligent committed voters away from another party unless the incumbents created a disaster. The biggest pool of potential votes is the uncommitted stupid voters, and that’s who they go after if they want to win. The Lieberals were very effective at organizing the stupid millennial twitter addicts with a “HateHarper” campaign, and it worked perfectly to give them the winning margin.
