1. Who seized Weiner’s computer ? The NYC Police ? New York State Police ? I am not sure which department is doing the investigation that discovered Weiner’s “Insurance Policy”.
   But this calls into question WHY nobody in the Federal Govt. ever SEIZED Hillary’s server ? Why the shocking lack of curiosity and/or follow-thru? No. I am not talking about trying to seize the server AFTER she had more than a year to sanitize it, then smash it to bits, then sanitize the bits, then burn the bits, then throw the bits into 3 different oceans. I am talking about doing the REAL police work of IMMEDIATELY getting a Federal Judge to issue a search warrant and to bust-down the doors of HER Chappequa lair and turn the place upside down looking for the illicit server? Which is a greater potential crime: Sending dicpics to some 15yo female troll, or harboring National Secrets on an unsecured server? Where are our fukccing priorities !!! No, I don’t want to listen to another speech by Trey Gowdy. I don’t want to hear another person tell me what a fabulous criminal litigator he is. What he isn’t … is effective. He should have brought the FULL FORCE of the US Congress to bear on the Clinton Cartel. He should have ORDERED the FBI to SEIZE her fffffen server. But he didn’t … why?
   I recall pictures of the Clinton ATF busting down the door of Elian Gonzalez’s house and pointing ASSAULT WEAPONS in the faces of the stunned and frightened occupants … including the small child, Elian. Why weren’t there a cadre of Federal Agents slapping a Search Warrant into Bills trembling hands and proceeding to rip-open the seat cushions of every pilfered White House chair. Why didn’t the search go room to room, floor by floor, till they finally followed the stairs down to the basement bathroom and found the server wedged behind the toilet?
   And IF they found Bill’s little black book of underage hookers … BONUS! It is pathetic that some low(er) level police agency finally DID the job that the Federal Justice and Police agencies JUST WOULDN’T DO !!!
   My government is rotten to the core. Both houses. We need to take a “flametorch to their keep” (credit to Elton John’s, Burn Down the Mission – Tumbleweed Connection). Or Drain the Swamp as the case may be.

5. Attempts to login with a false password a few times? Get stuff like that all the time on my mailserver. However, given the rather trivial passwords that most of the people around Clinton used, a simple dictrionary attack might do the trick.
   When I first setup my own mailserver, used to get megabytes of logfiles every day from various types of attacks which were easily thwarted by simply blocking Chicom IP address ranges. What I do worry about is someone exploiting back bugs in my mailserver that wouldn’t leave a trace in logfile. I suspect that whoever has hacked that private server did it in a stealth fashion leaving no tracks. The big unanswered question is whether that server only had a few ports open for email and what OS it ran? If it was a windoze machine, there were lots of potential exploits available when it was first setup that wouldn’t leave a trace behind (unless someone was passively logging all packets to/from the server to another machine which is what I do when in paranoid mode).

6. Loki, I doubt you’d be setting up a mail server in your basement if you were Secretary of State. She had plenty of reason to be paranoid … it just wasn’t where she should have been paranoid (Russians, Chinese, etc), she was more worried about getting caught in her criminal activities.

7. Ah, what a luxury it would be to have someone else setup my stuff although it’s fun to do it myself and know exactly what’s going on.
   She should have known she would be an obvious target and having a domain name so obvious is stupid in the extreme. I got forwarded a link by someone today which tried to blame the whole thing on her ignorance of computers. Apparently she was incapable of using a desktop machine and thus had to use her blackberry. That seems suspicious as it’s far easier to do email on a desktop machine than a cell phone. I’ve never met anyone who hasn’t been able to do basic things on a desktop computer. Using that excuse either means:
   (1) she has so much brain damage she shouldn’t have been secretary of state
   (2) it was all an excuse to setup her own server to hide the nefarious goings on of the Clinton “charitable” foundation.
   I also suspect there were lots of back doors in her server so that various foreign powers could get it with her claiming she had no idea this was going on. Also explains by Guccifer said it was a very simple hack.
