So what to say: Don’t misunderstand my comments as “pro Russian” in the sense that Putin is such a great guy. My arguments are for staying out of foreign entanglements while protecting our own borders with a strong military and immigration policies, along with picking our friends & allies far more carefully than we’ve done. Economic trade with Russia would be far more beneficial to us than say, Saudi Arabia.
I’m also as leery about western propaganda against Russia as I am Russian propaganda against the West. We could take either of those videos and input 911 conspiracy theory and make a collection. Maybe they’re wrong, and maybe they’re both right. They said that Putin supported Al Qaeda, but missed the point that the US created Al Qaeda to begin with, and continue to fund Islamic terrorist organizations as proxy armies in the ME today. We need to stay out of the messy foreign wars, build our military & border strengths, and make alliances with those that can actually benefit our societies. I was born in ’59 and I did similar ‘drills’ until my dad got out of the RCAF in ’72.(he joined in 1940 age 18)
I lived on CFBs.(Canadian Forces Bases) The air raid sirens went off about once a month, including in the middle of the night. If at night and dad didn’t have duty, he’d have to spring out of bed and join the rest of his squadron.
