  1. I read the Guardian on-line because it’s free. Most of it is crap, though. I used to read the environment page to see what the other side was thinking, but eventually gave up as it was just spouting bullshit and lies. The opinion section is laughable, and the news is biased; the soccer coverage is quite good though. Unfortunately. the Telegraph retreated behind a pay wall.

  2. It seems there is a story every few days about how the “news” papers are losing money.
It also seems to never occur to them that the stuff they print is irrelevant to the people that get up every day to go to work to make a living.
This household gets The Calgary Herald every day and pay’s the dollars.
The first section is about social warriors and how great is this deed or that other one and how it is that those that have to pay for all the free stuff are bad if they object.
Of course they just follow what they learned in socialist universities. They are to go forth and change the world. The problem is that they would like to tell everyone else how to live, they don’t actually have to do the things they push. They often show pictures and write stories about those that are hard done by even by the slightest degree, it never occurs to them to go and help or do anything about the situation.
You may have read the rumors that those that own and run the largest Canadian “news” chain are hinting that the big gov should start thinking to give them money they can’t make themselves.
Waiting for The Guardian, being of socialist paper, forcing socialist propaganda and free stuff for others, start asking for free stuff for themselves.
As with the CeeBeeCee, in this country, the “news” papers want to get on the gravy train of free money, regardless if anybody want to read their screeds or not.

  3. Wouldn’t the shareholders rather liquidate than thrash about until the beast is dead? Conrad Black bailed out of the newspaper business as it started failing and he got blamed for causing the losses rather than taking advantage of the opportunity of selling off papers while they were still profitable. The man was a genius and they sent him to jail for it.

  4. The New York Times, and Washington Post, LA Times, etc. … are all hoping that Hillary will put them on the government payroll as the state media outlet for America. She will simultaneously tax and purge The Drudge Report out of existence. She remembers the impact Drudge had on exposing her hubby as a LIAR. So she will do everything in (and out) of her power to DESTROY Trump

  5. These are socialists whining about losing money in a private business attempting to sell socialist and green propaganda while trying to compete with government-employed socialists (BBC) giving away the same propaganda on the taxpayers dime. Whether or not they see the irony and futility, I celebrate their loses and can’t wait for them to go broke. What’s the Canadian stat, 52% of our “journalists” are employed by the CBC? We’re worse off than the Brits.

  6. Don’t get your knickers in a twist just yet. Trump is going to win, and in a landslide. In the end, it will turn out that for all their lies, smears and deception, the Dead Man Walking media deceived themselves most of all!

  7. “…I celebrate their loses and can’t wait for them to go broke.”
I agree, and the sooner the better.
