Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

Time to sell my shares and cancel service. #notkidding
Will be cancelling my all my telus services tomorrow.
Tell us indeed, arrogant elitist b$#^$ards.
That will leave a mark….mass exodus from Telus. Did the CEO of Earls move to Telus?
I will be canceling my telus asap. Does Bell share the same ideology?
Sask-Tel may not look that bad after!!
Boycotting a company is the most effective way of getting rid of bad publicity. Look at what happened to Earl’s restaurants.
I’m anxious to see how Telus will transmit phone messages when the power goes out.
Oops sorry! (Corrected)
Sask-Tel may not look that bad after the smoke clears at Telus!!

Who Knew that all you needed to do to stimulate “clean innovation” was to tax what people exhale and what plants need to survive. Telus speaking: “Government is so wonderful especially when they keep our potential competition out of the country and that was the conservative progressives. Trudeau is so much better, we’ll suck up to him as well and what better way than sucking up to his Butts!”
As if things couldn’t get any worse down in the States at the moment if you check the National Hurricane Watch there is another hurricane brewing in the South Atlantic, Nichole. Should be interesting in the next couple of days as Matthew and Nichole seem to be heading on track to meet just off of the American East Coast.
Does Telus perchance mean Smart Prosperity like Ontario.
Reminder to self, never patronize Telus in any way.
Philippine leader Rodrigo Duterte told President Barack Obama “you can go to hell” in a speech Tuesday that was his strongest tirade so far against the U.S. over its criticism of his deadly anti-drug campaign, adding that he may eventually decide to “break up with America.”

So, can the Liberals tell us who is the real dictator. He must have taken lessons from his favourite country, China.
Justin Trudeau signals he may override provinces’ wishes on health care
PM acted unilaterally on carbon pricing; will he do it on health care?
http://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/justin-trudeau-heath-care-battle-with-provinces-1.3791173
This shouldn’t be surprising. Don’t forget that Telus was originally Alberta Government Telephones before it was privatized by the PCs.
This is great.
Donald Trump supporters absolutely rip Hillary Clinton’s ad featuring celebrities demanding we vote for her
Nova Scotia’s premier dug in hard against Ottawa’s carbon price scheme Tuesday, saying his province “definitely won’t” impose a carbon tax.

Ya, ya, I know, first a link from the Liberal propaganda arm, the CBC, and now the auxiliary Liberal propaganda arm, Global.
I’ve been telus free for over two years now and I will NEVER go back.
I wonder how much of the stolen taxpayer cash the imbecilic duo of Potato/MacKenna have promised Telus executives… or was there just a promise of a continued monopoly for more Librano support… Trudopiastan sure has produced some venomous low level scum-bags.
Ya have been thinking of dumping overpriced telus and this is final straw.Hello Shaw F*** You Telus.
Since Fido stopped selling Blackberries I was just considering Telus for my next provider, oh well that news made my decision easier. Have to look somewhere else.
Yeah, we’re with Shaw now.
Thanks Tim
I’m still laughing.
( ya,,, that short guy that played in something,, thanks)
Well, I guess I will not be subscribing to their services……..EVER!
I’ve always avoided Telus, I thought they had a unionized work force and therefore I assumed their service would be poor.
So Telus believes that by taxing the people we will use alternative energy sources.
What are those alternatives?
The town won’t allow me to put geothermal or a wind mill in my back yard. Never inquired about a nuclear plant but I suspect that may be too costly.
I guess I’ll just keep burning gas and pay the tax. They must figure that’ll save the planet.

Begone cretins, your MBA’s impress no one.
Editorial Times @EditorialTimes
@TELUS @smartprosperity @JustinTrudeau @cathmckenna Which is why I’m terminating your service this month.
Carbon pricing is the most effective way to drive up prices, lose customers, virtue signal, and in a not very long time destroy a company. The fact that PM Justine Turdo II supports this just means this effective means of economic destruction will continue operating at the national level as well. Don’t invest in Canada, which has become a shitty cultural Marxist country rushing to the bottom, thanks to Turdo, Wynne, Notley, and Canada’s hard left premiers & MPs. Canada is done. I no longer expect things to change in the deranged Dominion.
Smells like crony capitalist bidding season for big fed telecom contracts is upcoming?
“…,which has become a shitty cultural Marxist country rushing to the bottom, thanks to Turdo, Wynne, Notley,…”.
This my friend is the long term aim of of the eco-Marxists of de-industrializing the west and reducing our standard of living.
Yes, Tim R, you beat me to it.
I was going to repost a similar link and give credit to B Deplorable who originally posted it yesterday at the very end of a thread. I thought it deserved better exposure than that as it put a big smile on my face.

They made those celeb endorsers look like the useful idiots they truly are. LOL, very well done.
Dang I quit using Telus too soon. I dropped all of their over priced service almost a year ago.
Why just dump on telus? 22 people signed the document including The Co-operators, McKinsey & Company,Alterra Power Corp, Unilever Canada, Desjardins Group, Venture Communications, BioAmber, Tembec, Aluminum Association of Canada, RBC, Loblaw Companies Limited, etc. You have a lot of boycotting to do.

Arms dealer had threatened to expose Hillary Clinton’s talks about arming anti-Qadhafi rebels.
“The U.S. government spent millions of dollars, went all over the world to bankrupt him, and destroyed his life — all to protect Hillary Clinton’s crimes,” he said, alluding to the deadly Sept. 11, 2012 terrorist attack on the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi, Libya.

“..the most economically effective way to reduce emissions and stimulate clean innovation”
The experience with these kinds of taxes in Europe has shown these levies are not effective and do not produce innovation unless innovation means adding a drag on your economic output. In Europe ‘clean innovation’ is being placed on the back burner as countries attempt and keep their electrical grids up and running.
I just gave Telus a lesson in bilingualism when I bid them adieu.
Because I used Telus. If I utilized services from any of the other corporations they would be gone as well.
I’ve been with Telus for years and always thought it served me quite well. Good thing I can keep my phone number when I change over.
Thanks for that list. Now I’m looking for a new bank, too.
TO EVERYBODY LOOKING FOR A BETTER CELL PLAN THAN TELUS …listen up; this one is the gem!
It’s from T-Mobile (America’s second largest carrier) and it has UNLIMITED EVERYTHING = unlimited calling TO anywhere in North America FROM anywhere in North America …plus UNLIMITED texts and UNLIMITED data, both to or from anywhere in North America = NO ROAMING CHARGES!
The catch > 1. You must own your own ‘unlocked’ phone. They put in a T-Mobile sim card, which means your cell phone will have a U.S. area code and phone number (no, you cannot keep your same Canadian phone number). 2. To get it you have to go over to the U.S. with your own ‘unlocked’ phone. They will require a credit card number and the first month’s payment; after that they text you your bill each month, which you pay online via credit card. 3. They also require a “social security number” , which in America is a 9-digit number formatted as follows: 123-45-6789. So what you do is give them your 9-digit CANADIAN “social insurance number”, but formatted the American way as 123-45-6789 and NOT formatted the Canadian way of 123-456-789.
THEY DON’T CARE WHERE YOU LIVE! THEY JUST WANT TO SELL YOU CELL SERVICE, because it’s YOUR phone not their phone …so if you don’t pay them they can simply shut down your service. If/when they ask for an address tell them / I told them “I travel a lot, live on the road or with the friends I visit …don’t really have a home address …but here’s my credit cards, which one do you want to take?” As long as you keep your payments current T-Mobile is happy to serve Canadians.
Best revenge of all …in Canada their signals are carried by Rogers, Bell …and TELUS! I see one of those names in the top left corner of my phone screen whenever using it in Canada, which I’ve been doing from April until back in Carolina later this month. So, ONE phone, both countries, NO ROAMING charges and UNLIMITED EVERYTHING … US$50 a month! …from T-Mobile. I got this plan in January 2016 and have been paying US$50/per month ever since …sorry, don’t know what it now costs. The unlimited data is awesome because you use your phone as a wi-fi hotspot and NEVER EXCEED THE DATA CAP because there is no cap on your data!
Stick it to TELUS, folks …and the other over-priced Canadian carriers too while you’re at it!
Cheers,
Davers6

Any of Saskatchewan’s 80+ ‘Crowns’ sign on?
Just askin’.
By the time this is over every company from GM to Joe’s Pizza will have voiced support. They don’t want to be seen as not being on board. The carbon tax has wide spread support. Hey it’s the Canadian (sunni) way.

Thanx–fpr–
“The carbon tax has wide spread support” Yup.
Here’s John Ivison in NP: The zombie army of the unthinking call the Liberal plan a ‘lazy tax grab,’
If you have reservations about the largest tax increase in Canadian history you are part of the ‘zombie army of the unthinking’.
Didn’t you know that if you report your enemies, they win?
Thank God I left them for a better job … but even boycotts are going to have little effect. Telus – and the other companies busily promoting carbon taxes – aren’t doing it out of altruism or environmental concerns: somewhere, buried in the back pages of the agreements, are schemes to shovel truck-loads of money their way if they co-operate with the government. That’s the real “Green” activism at work.

Telus customers bolt after tweet over support of carbon tax.
Carbon Pricing: Fixing Climate Change for Dummies
No one will be “fixing” climate change, least of all Canadians. That’s magical thinking.
That looks really interesting, BUT, I am guessing that someone calling you from within Canada would be paying long distance charges which could be a potential drawback.
Carbon Pricing: How to Raise the GST for Dummies
This is all part of ongoing Lieberal programs to undo all the Conservative changes they can. If they had tried to boost the GST back to previous levels there would be complaints from the rank-and-file. This way they can blame it on Paris and ‘ClimateChange’ and Lieberal sheeple will buy it like taking bitter medicine or penance for sinning.
