Pence was both restrained and a gentleman, giving concrete answers about what he and Trump would do. He also brought up the matter of HRC’s e-mails, to which Kaine couldn’t even respond.
Kaine, like BC mentioned, was rude and kept interrupting Pence rather than bridling his tongue until his turn came, often resorting to insults when he spoke. (Trump was unpatriotic because he, as a businessman, took advantage of existing laws to reduce his takes and, possibly, remain solvent? Sheesh!)
Score one for Trump/Pence.
Let’s not forget who chanted “Four more years!” in the House of Commons when O’Bummer spoke there.
Agreed,Kaine is nasty and creepy, but he’s not an idiot. His talking points were well memorized and he seemed to be checking them off on a list in front of him. Pence is milder, softer spoken, “nicer”. JMO
Kaine interrupted rudely so often and then the moderator chimed in at the same time so that Pence was drowned out constantly.

Don’t mean to shock everyone here but CBC put together a panel that ALL thought Kaine won the debate. I know Eh? They even brought in an American now living in Vancouver that thought Kaine without a doubt won. He belongs to a group called Dems Abroad Canada. HAA.

Pence was brilliant imho, only CNN and the pop analyst at Fox would disagree, apparently with Pence better at explaining to others Trump insulting than well, Trump’s insulting others. Brilliant analysis from a neophyte who showed up with a hatchet at the first RNC debate.

Kaine regurgitated Clinton talking points & turned every serious national matter into an insult of Trump. It’s rich to see him characterized as the insulter.
Pence was the epitome of cool, calm and collected, enhancing Trump’s argument, rather than just as a reboot & prep for #2, the best Kaine could do.
When Kaine made the usual statist “a little more” from the “rich” spiel so they pay “their fair share” (greedy 1% only pay half of total income taxes), it would have been nice to see Pence pounce on that, reminding everyone Bubba Bill said just that in 2012, sadly without result, though not without massively raising the debt, again, demonstrating the futility of statism’s favourite activity, milking taxpayers, past present & future.
Pence countered the way to pay off debt and revitalize economic activity is to get Americans working who then pay taxes, rather than laundering middle class dollars for more regulation & taxes for business, already overburdened. JFK lowered their taxes and so will Trump.
Maybe Trump is saving that one for himself. Hillary dare not let him speak if he adopts Pence’s demonstration of the political pivot.
Pence proved by far the superior debater who forwarded his party’s program much better than Kaine did. The first words out of the cogents at CNN were that Pence was better at attacking Hillary than he was at defending Trump, or was it the other way around, it was so inane. Either way, yes, a lot better.
He looked like a president; Kaine looked stressed out and nearly had convulsions during Pence’s synopsis of Hillary’s email pay for play linkage.
He went from there to double down on his talking over points and his subsequent interrupting confirmed his loss in this debate that slime couldn’t salvage.
Will it move the dial. Unlikely after the Clinton media spin dry. After all the tax code, I mean Donald’s return, is a more pressing issue for the nation.
CNN says been there done that on Pence’s email presentation, so everybody move along. Did Pence get them to hang around for at least a little while?
Yes! Pence has class and intelligence. Kaine tried to monopolize the debate and kept droning on with rehearsed insults about Trump. They covered more territory than was dealt with on the Lester Holt farce. debate one. Kaine can’t help it; his eyes told us how desperate he was feeling.
There is a reason why most of us don’t bother watching or reading the CBC anymore. They don’t get out much. 🙂

This is a war. I was very disappointed to see how weak he came across. He was loaded with ammunition to eviscerate Hillary’s evil campaign and missed sooo many opportunities. Where was his open attack on media corruption? Where were his pleas for people to seek alternative views from media lies? The only real emotion I could see was when he talked about his god. That served no purpose but to signal atheist-haters that he isn’t one, SOP for the GOP. Also, I’m not sure if the words “political correctness” ever even crossed his lips all night. BTW, I saw about 80% of this debate, so please tell me if I missed some “gotcha” moment.
When the belligerent Kaine accused Trump’s campaign of hate-mongering, a smart debater would have Kaine’s intestines all over the floor in minutes by RELENTLESS hammering of their GROSS HYPOCRISY. Pence was simply too mellow to effectively go on the attack. However, I do think he did a good job of simply ignoring, and thus not justifying, much of Kaine’s bigoted rantings. He could teach Donald a thing or two about keeping your eyes on the ball.
In my opinion, Pence didn’t win as much as Kaine lost. But then again, anyone who would even consider a vote for the proven corrupt Clintons probably wouldn’t be put off by Kaine’s arrogant belligerence.
Again, this is a civil war. Fought with words and ideologies, but a war for their beloved nation’s very existence, nonetheless.

Too many people are doubting Trump now and all one has to do is look at his tweets to know that he’s not going to be rational in the middle of the night, nor when he begins ranting. He can’t. It’s not Trump.
