Magic 8-ball says, “Are you kidding?”
When the same set of circumstances were applied to others, the Trudeau government enforced this longstanding law without bias. The question now becomes whether the law will be applied without bias to a member of Trudeau’s inner circle.

Nonsense ! We have all “evolved” … beyond borders … beyond Nations. The rules and regulations of your Grandfathers have to be erased. We are ALL FREE PEOPLE ! We should all move FREELY … across the globe. No borders ! That’s the END GAME. Let Maryam Monsef be the FIRST ! (if you don’t count the millions of foreigners Obama has allowed to jump the fence). The FIRST FREE person of the New Millenium. And soon … the United Nations will RE-distribute all the ill-gotten wealth from all the FAT GREEDY white, Euro-centric, PIGS to the peoples of color throughout the globe. The UN will put the First Global Warmist church POPE in charge of who gets robbed and who gets RICH ! Socialism ! Equality (of poverty and misery) ! Wealth ! (for the select few politbureau elites) !
And God wept.
I think small potato and illary would get along well. One set of rules for potatoes and one set of rules for everyone else. That’s why I’m running for office. I need some free stuff.
The chances of anything bad happening to Monsef over her passport fraud are between nil and zero. She will not even be shamed into stepping down from cabinet while her documents are sorted out. Further more she sees nothing really wrong with what her mother did and what she kept quiet about.
We have the absurd situation where this buffoon can hector Canadians about their heritage, voting practices and traditions, while she knows so little of her own background she cannot say for sure where she was even born. Only in the “new” 2016 Canada.
I liked the Statement of the Immigration person who Said “THEY ALL LIE”
“Under the Trudeau government, do Canada’s laws apply equally to a Liberal cabinet minister?”
In a word, no.

“she sees nothing really wrong with what her mother did and what she kept quiet about”
And therein lies the fundamental principle of the Lieberals. The ends justify the means. After all, if some of Potato’s buddies can fib about their moving expenses, why not a prized cabinet minister telling a few nose-stretchers about her past?
Worse yet, she knows she’ll get away with it.
L’il P’tate will use the Clinton defense: “She didn’t know it was wrong”, or in its abbreviated form “She didn’t know”.
14022 ah, a legible captcha
Or maybe the Comey-Clinton defence, “She didn’t intend to.”
“L’il P’tate will use the Clinton defense: ‘She didn’t know it was wrong’, or in its abbreviated form ‘She didn’t know’.”
And let’s not forget that classic Bill Clinton line: “It depends on what the meaning of the word ‘is’ is.”
Ayaan Hirsi Ali was nearly turfed from Parliament and Holland by her colleague.
“The investigation found that Hirsi Ali had not legitimately received Dutch citizenship, because she had lied about her name and date of birth. Rita Verdonk moved to annul Hirsi Ali’s citizenship, an action later overridden at the urging of Parliament.” (Wikipedia)
Ah, but that was the Netherlands.
In the words of the Quantum Computing Potato, “A Canadian is a Canadian is a Canadian.”
There’s another issue: seniors brought here as children who have no documentation as to just WHEN they arrived. Service Canada refuses to let them collect OAS because of this lack of documentation. Forget having given birth to a child 40 years ago in Canada, or being able to show 35 years of CPP payments: Service Canada says that’s not good enough. So seniors who have lived in Canada and contributed all their lives are denied OAS. Meanwhile, recent immigrants who have been here just long enough to qualify for the minimum OAS find themselves also eligible for really good GIS (guaranteed income supplements) which more than make up for the lack of OAS and have the advantage of being non-taxable.

I find that odd. I came to Canada as an infant in the mid-1950s and a landing card was issued for me when we disembarked from our ship. I still have it in my papers.
