I think what Milo was trying to get across to the leftist numbskulls on the panel was that freedom of speech and freedom of thought are under threat by their very actions.In Europe homosexuals jews etc, are under attack by the growing muslim majority.By their branding of anyone speaking out against this as a “phobe” they stifle debate.

  13. years ago I read an article on the failure of Swedish socialism (they made adjustments to their economy in the 1990s to address some of these failings). It was not till I started travelling to that part of the world that I could fully grasp the significance of the article I had read. Now I like to say to people that socialism destroys exceptialism. They have very few MEN in that part of the world, they are mostly wusses.

  14. The left in Canada was (is) fond of mentioning Harper’s comment re Canada being much like a European socialist state. This was thought to be insulting. Unfortunately, they ALWAYS left off the second part of the comment which had to do with not making the connection between socialism and the last of prosperity. The article certainly makes the connection clear. Unfortunately, we are too far down the road at this point to halt creeping leftism and its current driver, globalism.

  20. Islam is an all encompassing religious and political ideology. Conservatism should not be the Christian version of Islam. Feel free to hold strong Christian values as personal beliefs AND be a Conservative, but don’t try to package them as one and the same. As a conservative, I don’t care one whit about a persons sexual orientation. I’m not weakening Conservatism – you are. Please stop dragging your religion into politics unless and until someone tries to restrict your freedom to practice your religion.
