Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

"The New York Times link to me yesterday [...] generated one-fifth of the traffic I normally get from a link from Small Dead Animals." - Kathy Shaidle

Two Riders walk into a bar…
what the hell is wrong with you ???
The recent discussion on the F-35 had more heat than light. As one who contributed to the heat I’d like to post a link to Caroline Glick’s article in the Jerusalem Post on the F-35.
I had not previously seen anything about cooling problems. “First there is the problem with the JSF’s cooling systems. The JSF is too hot. To prevent its single engine from melting down in flight, pilots are forced to open its weapons bays at high speeds and altitudes every 10 minutes. When the weapons bays are open, the stealth systems do not work.”
There is much more –
“Another major problem is that the F-35’s nerve center is dysfunctional and there is no clear path to fixing it. The F-35 is controlled by the Autonomic Logistics Information System. The ALIS is a central computer system, located in the US.
“All F-35s all over the world will be required to log into the ALIS system to upload computer files after each flight and to check flight readiness. The ALIS is supposed to identify broken parts and help speed up repairs and handle mission data uploads.”
And then there is the issue of total US control over missions: “For Israel, this vulnerability is prohibitive even if ALIS is ever made to work. The significance of ALIS control over all F-35s worldwide is that the US – and anyone able to hack the US system – will control the IAF. It will operate at the pleasure of the US government, and those able to hack US computers. They will be able to ground IAF planes whenever they wish.”
Of course the basic idea of thousands of F-35s having to connect up with one computer in the US in the middle of a war – or whenever a stealth strike is desired – is more than a little – curious.

Rachel Notley. Creates hole. Keeps digging.
NDP government spends $100,000 on advertising power contract lawsuit
The NDP government is spending $100,000 on an advertising campaign promoting its controversial legal action aimed at stopping power companies from off-loading money-losing power contracts back to the public.
And they laughed at the Bay City Rollers!!

Sorry, I saw 44 Rider jokes.
I laughed at my older brother who was a Bay City Rollers fan, didn’t laugh so much when he saw the Sex Pistols on their SPOT tour though.
Seriously TL;DR!!!!!!
From what I gather, the entire F-35 deal, here in Canada and abroad, is synonymous with Malcolm Bricklin and the SV-1. Not a bad car, but lacked the leadership and savvy to get it off the ground.
Bricklin built 2600 cars, yet when the company went into receivership, they had 40,000 back orders.
Much like Bricklin took the government of New Brunswick for a soaking, The Government of Canada is about to get the shafting of the century by Lockheed Martin. Canada should should walk away right now!
Well of course a nice guys finishes last, after his lady is good and satisfied. Oh, that’s not what you mean about the Riders? Pity.
How about “swarthy”?

The Canadian media hacks and hounds supported and continue to idolize Justin Trudeau into global stardom to play the role of Prime Minister. Why are they now going bonkers over the possibility of Donal Trump becoming POTUS? Can anyone make any sense of this?
TimR….I don’t know about other provinces, but here in AB,every time you go to utubes music selections,up pops an ad for how pristine the air is now in AB,thanks to Nutley’s new clean air bill, whatever the heck that is! They are all pathological liars and thieves.
I noticed one of the local TV stations started showing one of those “Rachel Notley: Saving Alberta From Prosperity” ads.
Barf!
A Trump or Hillary poll that needs some balance 🙂

The budget IS balancing itself! Another miracle from the new Liberal government in Ottawa!
Re Govt of AB ads popping up on internet, if you click on them, the Govt is charged pay-per-click. Rates vary, but enough people doing it will chip away and reduce their advertising budget quicker. It only helps if the scrupulously fair and honest (yeah, right) MSM notices and reports. And of course, it’s a bitter victory because we taxpayers are ultimately paying for it.
Ed, I guess that’s one slant on the story that didn’t immediately cum to my mind 😉
Does this mean out taxes will go down? What with all that extra money in the Federal coffers!

Have you been adversely affected by the extreme weather we’ve had this summer?
An absurd question. What extreme weather in the Lethbridge area? A few showers? Dark at night? Boo. Sure, there have been storms all over the prairies…like every summer … since forever.
In all fairness, the Herald publishes every letter to the editor I write. Latest….

Red Rachel and her stooges are looking for even the smallest and remotest of evidence of “climate change” in order to justify ransacking the province for their government union buddies.
So, if a Saskatchewan Roughrider buys a vineyard, what do you call him?
“Wine Owner Rider”.
Liberal lies–by the bucketful–with the help of the CBC!
http://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/electoral-reform-committee-roundup-1.3700856
Correct me if I’m wrong, but was it the Chretien Government that initiated this boondoggle? If so, why am I NOT surprised with these developments?
And with revelations that “control” emanates from US Central command, how much operational “freedom” does the CAF have in using them, without permission it seems from the US? Or put another way, do we then get involved in any US miss-adventure, whether we support it or not? If that is the case, why is the 49th a barrier to Canadians entering the USA & not Mexicans?
