A lorry ran down a large group of people in the southern French city of Nice during a suspected terrorist attack. At least 50 people are feared dead with more than 100 injured during the Bastille Day attack.
Gunshots rang out in the streets, with gunmen targeting hotels and cafes in the port city as residents were warned to lock themselves in doors for their safety. Hostages have been taken in a hotel in the city. The RAID anti-terror squad has been deployed to the city.
It is believed the gunmen are holding hostages in the Meridien Hotel and the Buffalo Grill restaurant.

A spokesman for the Alpes Maritime prefecture advised locals to ‘stay indoors’ as gunfire was heard, and a lorry was driven into a crowd on the Promenade des Anglais.

I turned to CBC P&P to witness Rosie Barton trip over herself a number of times, to avoid disclosing the obvious likelihood that this was a terrorist attack. As the France TV feed was playing in the background, you could hear the reporters repeating the word “terroriste” over and over while Rosie said, at least twice, “I’m not going to repeat what they are saying because it’s all speculation at this point. We don’t have verification from the authorities.” Not too much to speculate about there, but she could not bring herself to mention the possibility.

As I try to not get too disgusted with some of the flippant comments here about another tragedy I can’t help but get completely disgusted with my present and past governments of Canada. When are they going to admit that their idea of multiculturalism only exists in their minds. How many more people will be sacrificed by the mindless twits that think all cultures are equal! Eight years of Democrat rule in America and we have a simmering civil war in the offing. The Islamic assimilation developing in Europe will grow exponentially in less than eight years. It is time to admit that all cultures are not equal and that borders are needed and need to be protected. Enough of the acceptance and tolerance BS, we need to realize that in this upcoming clash of cultures there is going to be a winner and a loser, and only the West in the past has been magnanimous in victory. The present leaders of the West have a choice they can either get some steel in their spines or they can start rolling out the prayer mats.
