None of these horrific statistics are interpreted as “bad” by the Global Socialists. 100% unemployment is cheered by the leftists. when there are no jobs … then everyone is dependent upon the government. And the government gets to invent “work” for all the “gender studies” graduates. All the “environmental studies” graduates. They want the entire planet dependent on a politbureau of “benevolent” Commissioners in Belgium.

The Euro socialism failure is not unique to the world. The Japanese are actually in far worse shape. Their possible saving grace is that they have not imported millions of destabilizing immigrants. $12 trillion in negative government debt worldwide. Massive failure which when it implodes will lead to physical violence.
John: Do you really think Western Canada is all that different? I hope so but the people are regularly conditioned to think that debt is quite manageable. We recently had a conservative government who could not ‘explain’ their philosophy to their people. A party to this date who has not accepted their failure and have not accepted responsibility. Truly and fundamentally disillusioned.
Western Canada independence? When the inevitable fiscal collapse happens everything will be on the table. The 30% of the population that lives off the 70% will be obvious targets as money disappears. Since the majority of that 30% live in the east I suspect Canada will fall apart quickly. What philososphy dominates the West at that point likely will be fiscally conservative by necessity more than by conviction.
The West Party – separation if necessary, but not necessarily separation. I would prefer a provincial nexus, but our cabin boy is changing the electoral system to ensure statist supervision of our money and liberty from his eastern throne, aka taxation without representation, that makes a federal response important.
