  7. I will be very sad … if the British people trade their FREEDOM for the perceived “comfort” of the EU. Short term economic peace … traded for the eventual destruction of the entire European economy. Europe has already been suffering though a decade(s) long economic malaise … and it won’t be long till the EU economy resembles Venezuela … only without the oil. I will be sad if the British people have become so used to getting “FREE STUFF” … that they stay latched onto their “one world” teat. Sad.

    Funny to think that an empire that once ruled over 1/5 of the world’s population is now so damned chicken that they willingly cling to the socialist EU baby’s blanket, and are prepared to hand over their sovereignty (including their border) as if it is worth nothing. They went from ruler to ruled in what, less than 80 years?
    It is really quite remarkable and it is more than just a symbol of Western decline, it is in fact decline before our very eyes.
    Go Trump. Maybe just maybe citizens of the USA will find the guts to do the right thing.
    Events such as Brexit and people like Trump are the final life jackets being thrown to Western civilization. There will not be many more….

  9. I’ve been following this for a few months now and can’t quite get my head around how the LIV in Britain as in America can be “bought” so easily. Over 800 years of western democracy, if the polls and betting shops are to be believed, is about to be flushed down the sewer of history. However the Remain side is so scared of the outcome that the polling stations, according to this mornings news reports, have been issued with pencils to mark the question. Remain scrutineers have been issued large erasers! The intellectuals at the top of the feeding trough are leaving nothing to chance. It’s amazing that the average Brit will believe the outcome of a “gamed” system and accept the published vote and go back to work next week still sending millions of taxpayer Pounds into an un-elected cabal in Brussels.

  15. It’s easier to monger fear than sell optimism. The fact that the vote is so close should bolster those that support individual rights and freedom. I do hope that Britain some how pulls this one out and votes to “Leave” to get back on the path to becoming “Great” Britain again. However like the Austrian Presidential election I fear the fix is in. 140 thousand overpaid Euro-crats will pull every lever at their disposal to tip the balance their way.

    Nearby Swindon’s vote to Leave appears to have dented their confidence, leaving them to rely on the mantra that it’s “early days yet” to keep up their morale.
    In the county itself, which includes David Cameron’s Witney constituency, the smaller villages – fertile Liberal Democrat territory – appear to have voted solidly to stay in the EU, while the vote is much tighter in the towns, such as Carterton, Chipping Norton and Witney itself.

    John McDonnell, the Labour shadow chancellor, said that voters are “cheesed off” about issues like migration.
    “I’ve been touring round meetings all around the country and up North there’s been clearly a reaction against the state of the economy, grievances. People are cheesed off.
    “Their wages have been frozen. They’ve identified the issue of migration as one of the issues, politicians not listening to them. It’s almost like a by-election protest vote, to a certain extent, in some areas.”

    Asked if his brother will still be leader in 2020, he said: “Obviously.”

    Could Nissan pull out of Sunderland?
    Labour sources told the Telegraph there were fears Nissan could pull out of the area if Leave are successful nationally.
    The firm, which backed Remain, employs 670 people in Sunderland.
