It is the end of the Parliamentary session and so it was time to stand in the kitchen with Rona Ambrose and talk juice and politics.
Think about this as you watch – contrast and compare with Justin Trudeau on style and substance and tell me in the comments on how you think they compare.

Wow! A former female cabinet minister chosen because of intelligence and not sexual organs.
I am still annoyed at Rona for making Harper the butt of her jokes at that PPG dinner. The media loved it, of course, but I thought this was supposed to be self-deprecating humour, not taking pot shots at a former PM. I thought it was in poor taste.
She thinks that Dec 25th is a “Happy Holiday”…Keep your PC Christmas Cards to yourself Rona
I won’t be supporting those types of Conservatives, Wild Rose also picked a PC wacko
I was under the impression that the jokes were tongue-in-cheek and were also run by Harper beforehand. He approved.
now you know why the Alberta PCS cannot get their shite together.
I’m with you on this and will be reserving judgements and cash until I see where the party is going. Smart and pretty does not sway me, conservative credentials do.
In any case I will not support a Liberal Lite for leader, as we might as well be back in the old Soviet Union and voting for three slightly different shades of progressive. Just as Ontario now has a choice in the next election between a crook, a Marxist, and an Al Gore acolyte.
Besides, Chili Pepper mixed with juice? This reminds me of one hot summer day when we were assembling a steel grain bin for a neighbour and his wife brought out a container of carrot juice. After she left one of the fellows came up with his own name for the juice.
Would not be surprised if Mr Harper approved same. You have to have a rather wicked sense of humour to marry into a family who are WW I aficionados to the extent of carving replicas of WW I trenches into their land. There’s a story out west of a time when the Harpers were visiting the Teskeys and one of Mr Harper’s bodyguards spotted a suspicious vehicle coming over the hill. Bodyguard alerted the PM, who responded by “oh, that’s just my brother-in-law”. Suspicious vehicle was a World War I tank.
I won’t even bother to watch this. Everything the cpc has done post Harper shows me they are desperate to gain the msm ppg approval. The progressives have taken over the party. Ms Ambrose is part of the problem not the solution.
She sounds like every other politician. I’ll vote Conservative, but not because I’m inspired by Rona (if she becomes the elected leader of the party). Who knows? Maybe she’s keeping her inner-Trump hidden until she wins a majority – then she will be all “Close down the CBC” and “End subsidies to doomed green energy parasites”. Here’s hoping.
Well we would be a lot better off with her running the show than the arnold ziffel we have now!
Canada is in deep u know what right now.
God help us!!!!!
Rona is twice the man and woman that Turdeau is,however I think she is drinking a bit too
much of the green juice.
Better hair than sir selfalot
For those complaining of Rona, she is having a very positive influence on my wife, who is already disenchanted with Boy (Five Minute) Wonder. And she does articulate a conservative message.
I like that: From Boy Wonder to Boy Five Minute in 5 months.
The Rona CV is more than troubling.
If word came down that she is an avid biker
and a very good Texas holdum poker player
that would help quite a lot.
Providing it was true.
I’m not sure it really matters. Canadians have chosen a William and Kate world. Soon Sophie will join Justin in a series of waving tours. Note sure why so many Canadians want to be reinserted into the matrix. Nobody wants to talk about the debt and deficits, the slow growth, government corruption…
“…Note sure why so many Canadians want to be reinserted into the matrix …”
They want to be reinserted into the matrix so they don’t have to talk about debt and deficits, the slow growth, government corruption…
Ron is doing a good job staying the course while the party selects a new leader.
My fear is the new leader will be an eastern progressive in the mold of the Ontario PC leader. Can’t think of his name right now but that sort of illustrates the point.
If the new CPC leader can be interchangeable with the LPC-NDP-GRN leader what’s the point?
Arnold Ziffel? I’d sooner have that character from “Green Acres” in charge than PM Boy Blunder. Come to think of it, I’m sure that Ricky, Julian, and Bubbles from “Trailer Park Boys” could do a better job.
I fully agree. Just thinking of Kim Campbell is enough for me to consider upchucking.
Btw, the Ontario PC leader’s name is Brown.
Contrast and compare:
Unlike Trudeau, she doesn’t lisp and stutter;
Like Trudeau, she’s effeminate.
Beyond that, who could tell from such a softball interview?
ya your right, that was an insult to pigs wasn’t it.
after all, Arnold could turn the tv on and off.
Not that I don’t already, another reason to vote none of the above
I generally would never comment on a video/article without clicking on the provided link first…. this begs a rethink of that personal policy.
I have witnessed enough of the mainstream media stroking it’s approved leftist politicians, I have no interest in witnessing the right-wing media doing the same. Especially when the CPC have clearly proven with their recently expired MAJORITY that they are no longer a proper Conservative party. I don’t care if Brian actually asks her a tough question or two because I don’t care what her answers are. I also couldn’t give a flying f*ck if she comes across as witty or charming, either.
Look, I don’t want to see our western civilizations die, but as with hardcore drug addicts, I believe the left must be left to find their respective “socialist rock-bottoms” before any serious changes will even be considered. The CPC, doing an awesome impression of wishy-washy Liberals, are only delaying the pain we all must inevitably face. And hopefully, when Canada does reach it’s rock-bottom, there will still be something left to save.
As for myself, there is currently NO federal party that I can support in good conscience. Ambrose and her CPC are currently part of the problem, not the solution. If they can find a leader willing to attack the evilness of the MSM and PC’ness instead of embracing them, I’ll take another look.
Trudope is still riding high in the polls because he hasn’t implemented the tax policies fully yet. Once the carbon taxes, the GST hike, the payroll tax increases etc start rolling in that will be when the tide begins to turn. Hopefully our leadership race is over by then and we can start the campaign.
Canadian Observer, we started this slow decent into the quagmire we find ourselves in today under the leadership of Pierre Trudeau, Brian Mulroney, Jean Chretien and a host of others. I had supported the Conservatives all my life and had found a renewed hope in the party under Harper, but now I agree there seems to be no hope. The Conservatives had a chance in the last election of re-affirming a Canadian identity. They had an opportunity to re-establish what a Canadian used to be and they squandered that chance. Instead of re-inforcing the metal in their backbone and trusting the Canadian voter, they wimped out at the last minute. A Canadian is a Canadian. Full stop. The thin edge of the wedge was the French-Canadian adoption which opened the door. Now “A Canadian is a Canadian is a Canadian” which means exactly what? Anyway I’m too old a dog to waste my time fighting for a party that has wimped out. As Lightfoot has written “There was a time in this fair land…..”
I’m always astonished by how many readers here don’t get the basic ideas presented by Kate and Lance. “Not showing up to riot is failed conservative policy”. Read that over a few times and think about it. You all sit around bitching and moaning about how hopeless our future is. WHAT DO YOU DO ABOUT IT?
Brian – “contrast and compare”?? Which do you want us to do?
Get a dictionary.
You and Antenor have it right. This makes me sad. There was a chance under Harper and it went into the wind. I’m almost seventy-four and the progressive takeover of all our institutions, society, and our political parties is almost complete. Karl Marx and Stalin won.
I believe the Party was over when the Conservatives morphed into the “Lib-Lite Party”. They had a chance to privatize the cbc and appoint Conservative judges to the Supreme Court, but chose not to. PM Harper could have done the Country a huge favor by filling all the Senate vacancies with real Conservatives between Election night and turning over the reins to the Muslim-elect.
