   I suppose if he really WAS a terrorist, and he really DID have a bomb… Imagine if YOU were on that bus, and you found out you couldn’t leave because the driver was told to lock the doors.
   Let’s say you were a jihadist, and you really did have a bomb. You just found out the bus had stopped, and no one was allowed to leave. Would you really wait for the cops to arrive?

2. I think the guy should be executed just for causing the closure of all lanes of the 401.

3. Actually, GO Transit buses are a very comfortable and civilized way to travel. My beef is with the amount of downtime the bus drivers get between trips.
   Passengers are left to queue in all weather at the station while the driver takes every last minute of downtime/layover.

4. Was 407 on a Saturday.

5. Waterboarding is more fitting for closing the 407 on a Saturday afternoon.

   Not me. I would have gone through the emergency exit window so fast…bit of a drop for these old bones though.

9. Brian M.: If the courts did just that, things would surely change in Canada. We do need a better court system as we lean to leniency. TIME TO GET TOUGH OF CRIME!! And I do think if was stupid for the OPP to suggest locking everyone on the bus…evacuation would have been my idea. Better yet we need legal carry in this country that would stop people!! It’s not the GUNS the LIBS hate, it’s the PEOPLE!
