  1. If you think the song’s bad, the movie it came from was worse. Avoid it like the plague.

  2. That horrific tune is the “Hang in there baby” poster of BAD 70’s music. Truly awful … having received FAR MORE airtime than deserved in the 70’s.

  3. You do realize that Don Gibson, a musical genius, wrote ‘I Can’t Stop Loving You’ and it is a song that has been covered by no less than Elvis, Sinatra, Roy Orbison, Duke Elington, Van Morrison, Ray Charles; the list is endless. Those folks didn’t pick junk to place before their public.

  4. The CBC has been boosting Sophie Gregoire since the night of Oct. 18-2015. In this article Neil Macdonald compares Sophie Gregoire to ”a tall poppy.” Comparing the PM’s wife to a poppy is hardly respectful.

Yet when I commented, ”I know she’s popular. So is Justin Bieber. Should Justin Bieber receive government staff??” (End of Quote)
Sophie Gregoire has no official position, thus she is not above Justin Bieber.

  5. Oh , you bully ! The poor girl. Don’t you know she has only had three vacations in six months ! Thankfully she is not a short fat man wasting your money . Lord knows you you could end up in court ! On a personal note , I always took my nannies with me on vacation . Doesn’t everyone ? Thank goodness she is a tall poppy ! We certainly wouldn’t want to judge a person on their what they can accomplish . This is 2016 and we don’t judge people on how they look , right? The hypocracy in this article is off the charts. It is only exceeded by the attitude of this new government and the rest of the fawning media . Welcome to the new Canada . But there are no worries , the serfs can pay !

  7. Now THAT could be the anthem of the Right To Life movement.
What bugs me about the “pro-choice” movement is that only one choice is approved.

  8. Common sense prevails. Not something you usually say about the USA’s EPA. Notice, however, the EPA is not required to admit fault.

“In a case that drew national attention, the EPA ordered Andy Johnson in January 2014 to tear out the pond or pay $37,500 per day in fines for what the agency described as a violation of the Clean Water Act, even though stock ponds are exempt from the federal law and he had obtained the necessary state and local permits.
“In a settlement agreement announced Monday, Mr. Johnson agreed to plant willow trees and temporarily limit livestock access on a portion of the pond in what his attorneys described as ‘a win for the Johnson family and a win for the environment.’
“Mr. Johnson had accumulated more than $20 million in fines while fighting the agency’s order, but under the settlement, ‘the Johnsons will pay no fine,’ said Pacific Legal Foundation attorney Jonathan Wood.”

  9. One more reason to look for a cable service that will replace CBC with ”The Racing Channel.”
I was raised in the heat of Trudeaumania. Now I have to listen to the idiot Pierre Elliot conceived in the back seat of a government limo! I’d love to see a DNA test on the little bstrd.

  11. I was surprised that my comment “such fawning is an embarrassment” did get posted, and that it received about 2x ‘likes’.
CBC is obviously sucking-up for more government funding just like every other lieberal organization.

  12. Our beloved federal government IS increasing funding to our Essential National Broadcaster, by $675 million spread over the next five years.

I am sorry for linking to huffandpuff, but this was the only link to the story I could find.
All is well at the CBC now, the useless tits who produce unfunny comedies and bullshit documentaries on global warming, and lies about FN genocide, will be well looked after.

  13. The show-boating of Sophie and Justin, and the fawning of media: Déjà vu.
Will Sophie feel compelled to escape to New York on her own freedom trip?

  14. Most of those sappy songs are one-hit wonders.
For the lifetime achievement award in schlocky music I nominate Tony Orlando. Not only did he torment us with “Candida”, “Tie A Yellow Ribbon”, and “Knock Three Times” but he was able to parlay those hits into a prime-time CBS television show.

jump ahead to the 4:40 mark. scuttled by a Conservative. I didn’t realize they were using titanium for the plane. apparently today’s politishun want to pour a Billion into BOMBardier.
note the ending comment; the progeny was the SR71. VERY advanced.
scuttled by that petty man, yet another Conservative control freak from the prairies.
if it was run-of-the-mill, why the need to destroy the tools and blueprints as well? (psst: dont let this baby get in the hands of the russkies, its just tooooooo good)
or, if it is in fact very advanced for the time, why scuttle it? build the bloody things and sell them to our allies. skaREWWWW Eisenhower and the Americans.
    a petty, petty, petty man.

  16. I remember when Rosemary Clooney didn’t want to record Come on-a my house….and who could blame her? Come on-a my house, my house, I’m gonna give you candy. “Come on-a my house, my house, I’m gonna give a you. Apple a plum and apricot-a too eh.”
Dreadful song. Mitch Miller had to threaten to terminate her just signed contract with Colombia Records before she agreed to record it.
Can’t believe it was ever No.1.

  18. Most of the songs posted thus far are varying degrees of awful but I make an exception for the first one, “Johnny Angel”.

  19. Hey. These are late 60’s/early 70’s songs. LSD does weird things to the brain.
