  1. 73% NO with 427 respondents. Which means it will happen anyway, because the leftists still know what’s best for society … all you little people are too dumb to know what’s good for you. The leftists ALWAYS have a mandate to follow their desires … because THEY were educated by the smartest leftist professors in the nation … and you are all just rubes, living in the hinterland.

  2. Notice the use of the word “investments”……that is left wing code for “robbing from citizens and paying off your supporters”.

  3. Because they’ll cheat it soon.
    No (81%, 683 Votes)
    Yes (19%, 160 Votes)

  4. Whenever I’m in Pincher Creek and its wind turbine environs I’m always surprised to note the number of machines NOT producing. I am given to understand that they can only supply a small percentage of base load before destabilizing the grid during wind-outs. This suggests to me that saturation point has already been reached and that further “investment” would merely be an extension of the redundancy. Let’s discuss. Expert opinion welcome.

  5. The left have coopted the English language and re-defined the meaning of terms. It confuses the low-information types. “Yuk yuk yuk … golly … I’s heard dat “investments” are good tings.” I believe it is time for Merriam Webster to start ADDING new definitions. I believe your redefinition of “investment” should be adopted – verbatim.

  6. Back in the day, the southern view of the mountains was epic, now it is just sad, this is progress? At least they dismantled the 100 ft high chrome egg beaters that were parked beside the road going to the Old Man Dam. Another stupid failed experiment that the gov sponsered. What kind of engineer puts together a design that puts tons of weight directly on some bearings and believes they were going to last?

  7. Those who are in favour of idiocy have never had to pay and have no intentions of paying for bad decisions. In this case, the 17%. They have no clue as to what “renewable energy investments” entail but it sounds cool and besides, someone else will pay for it. People falling into this category need to freeze in the dark for a while just to get a taste of reality.

  8. Make the 17% pay for every penny of it, with NO tax cuts,NO gubermint rebates, and NO side deals. Then see how far this BS would go. (and cut off their “job related” lunches).

  9. The Lethbridge Herald has been a useless waste of trees for as long as I can remember.
