  1. As usual, more people showed up for the March for Life (in Ottawa and elsewhere) than at any gay event.
PM Trulander was away from Parliament Hill washing his hair.
    Or something.

  2. You know your a liberal when you have a bumper sticker reading SAVE THE REDWOODS and a window sticker KEEP ABORTION LEGAL always the same with these abrtionits they oposed the shooting of ceicil the lion while supporting abrotion and euthiasia

  3. Lilly is now lecturing the ‘right’ on how to win on social issues. The Libranos won on social issues so why not conservatives?
I had a toronto liberal tell me the other day that you conservatives need to be more progressive. Yeah sure we do. We could be just like the libs or ndp.
Conservatives need to be different from the other parties. Being the same won’t cut it. Move on from the abortion debate, gay marriage etc. It’s over.
Social conservativism is dead in the water.

  4. No coverage of the March for Life by the CBC. I consider that blatant censorship. The abortion debate is not over — the left refuses to have one. It is hard to counter when the media refuse coverage of the issues and the debate.

  5. You can have all the debates you want over the abortion issue. Not one mind will be changed. The electorate has decided. They are not going back. Abortion is a non issue and conservatives need to move on if they ever expect to form another government

  6. Abortion is hardly a “non-issue”. Check the poll. Most people do not favour late-term abortions. There are also issues such as being able to claim damage to a fetus that happens during a car accident, for example. Insurance companies do not pay because a fetus has no rights. There is a case where a fetus suffered brain damage, but no money allowed for the years of special care that were needed. Many people who want some constraints on abortion (as exists in most countries). Most are not looking for a complete ban. I applaud those who will not give up this fight. There is an important moral issue at stake, and women are not helped by policies which encourage them to kill their own offspring. Among other things, having ready access to abortion services ensures that men feel they have no responsibility for begetting and raising children. That is one reason why we have so many single mother families.
