In fact, with a hell of a lot more veracity and insight than a prostitute-housewife turned Senator. Sadly, Babs lives in the eco-fraudster echo chamber up in Marin County … where ultra-wealthy libs discuss where to find the cheapest Guatemalan house maid, and how to pay them under the table, without taxes.

    MidAmerican appropriately makes post-tax profits of $1,574,000,000 for producing just 11% of the electricity that Ameren produces. And Ameren’s net income after an assumed tax rate of 37% is just $255,000,000. So, in the end: 1 kilowatt of windmill electricity produces 57x the profit of 1 kilowatt of hydrocarbon fuel electricity.
    The extraordinary and outsized economics of green energy are consistent with an arcane scheme. It is originated by government mandates forcing all electric customers to pay for nothing except for the transfer of wealth to the “chosen winners” of the high priests of Green Energy Ideology. Getting chosen to own a windmill is an economic gift of unprecedented proportions. And it will last as long as the “wind blows”! The Green Energy elites are profiting at the expense of all electricity users. They must do everything possible to prevent “we the people” from ever discovering how they make all their money.
    And here is one of the most disingenuous comments that has ever been made:
    When our current projects are completed, MidAmerican’s renewables portfolio will have cost $15 billion. We relish making such commitments as long as they promise reasonable returns. And on that front, we put a large amount of trust in future regulation.
    This is the so-called sage of Omaha, Warren Buffett. He clearly believes in getting his share of the redistribution of wealth from working people to the wealthiest of elites.–

  14. Obviously Boxer has no compunction against hurting the poorest of the poor. They don’t vote and can’t be fleeced to pay for her elitist lifestyle. However, she is more than ok with instituting into most lawful status the Green Gaia First Religion that will be worshipped by her willing snake-oil sipping x-box addicted moon-blinked Democrat voting marginally employed young minions. The young voters obviously are not troubled with the immorality of the anti-cheap energy movement. Such support keep them entitled to easy under-achieving $15/hr jobs where they can focus on doing nothing notable including raising families. A bleak dead end progress-free progressive fantasy fueled future, indeed.

  15. Epstein is simply and succinctly making the other side of the moral argument. Progressives want to talk about the hypothetical and speculative effect of CAGW on the grandchildren without considering the very real (not hypothetical) effect of their policies on us and our children. Given the uncertainties in climate change projections and effects, is it moral to cause suffering and reduced standards of living now? Especially considering future generations will be much richer. If it’s not catastrophic then adaption should be seriously considered.
    Secondly, he is making the case about the benefits of cheap, reliable fossil fuels/energy and introducing the idea that an increase in CO2 concentrations is actually beneficial to plants (the fertilization effect) and humans (fewer cold related deaths, more food and higher living standards). CAGW proponents rarely, if ever, acknowledge that there are any benefits to fossil fuels or CO2. Like in chemistry and medicine it’s all about the dosage.
    A sure way to identify CAGW zealots and the climate science ignorant is to ask them about the benefits fossil fuels/CO2 and the uncertainties in the CAGW science. Anyone with even a passing knowledge of climate science, as opposed to climate propaganda, should have no problem answering these questions.

Time has indeed FLOWN by just as fast as my elders warned it would … Yet some like Boxer remain mired in the thoughts of yesteryear. Tried and FAILED in the 70’s … but … just like Communism … these hardcore leftists believe it … “just wasn’t done properly”. Yeah, in the 1970’s, the government didn’t pour $$billions$$ of newly printed dollars into it. Now they have. Result: a really, really, really, EXPENSIVE FAILURE.

    So I guess Boxer will equally belittle all the Hollywood celebrities who are on the CAGW bandwagon, right? Oh wait.
    And I guess Boxer will apply a disciplined measuring stick to the mouthpieces of CAGW, to ensure they all have Geology, Meteorology, Mathematics or Earth Sciences Ph.D.’s, right? Oh wait.
    Epstein poked the bee’s nest. I’m betting his IRS audit will commence in 3, 2, 1 (or worse–maybe framing for some sex-offender stuff).
    It does make one wonder though–what if all of us stood up to the CAGW Emotionalists with the same rigor that Epstein did? Could we shout/shut THEM down?

    Socrates and Plato didn’t have any degrees at all and some people say they were philosophers.
    Skeptic talking points are always boilerplate. That’s because skeptics represent the status quo.
    In order to change the status quo, Gang Green has to prove CO2 forces AGW.
    Since they haven’t proven anything, most people don’t believe it. The status quo remains.

  23. I listen to the archived copies of a certain Internet radio show that originates from the San Francisco area. The host has little good to say about Senator Boxer.
    Her comments in that video clearly demonstrate that I don’t think I’ll ever be meeting her at a Mensa gathering any time soon.

    After a certain time, public ‘officials’ begin to believe they are above those who provide their paycheque. when I saw her in this video, I immediately saw her in her pedestal, far above the little minion she is haranguing, rising up to full stature with lightning bolts emanating from her bulging eyeballs.
