Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

As far as JG, this is not a CBC issue, that’s a whole other agenda.
As a man, I’m glad to see JG be found NOT GUILTY. He may indeed be a freak in the bedroom, but, given the clear evidence, his partners were freaks too, and, most critically, put it on paper how much they enjoyed it!
That defines consensual!
Once again, crown prosecutors found wanting in their lack of thorough preparation, and investigation.
*
cops just dragged off a hysterrical topless sister-in spirit who interrupted
the crown as he was addressing press scrum.
thinking just maybe a screaming partially dressed woman is not the
punctuation anyone might have hoped for at this particular moment.
*
The media coverage was most revealing, suddenly innocent until proven guilty is back in vogue.
So how does the hierarchy of guilt work?
Conservative ? Guilty as slandered.
Media Guild member? Innocent until proven.
Liberal? Do not report charges, trial or sentencing.
Presstitutes gotta do what prepaid parasites do best.
The question is: will he ever work at CBC again?
(Doubtful)
Maybe he’ll end up working for Sirius XM like Evan Solomon…
Next up, Ghomeshi’s wrongful dismissal lawsuit against the CBC.
Not a fan of JG or the CBC.
Nonetheless it is refreshing to see objective facts decisively rebuke the SJW internet pitchfork mobs.
Would not be shocked to see the Crown drop the remaining charge.
“Next up, Ghomeshi’s wrongful dismissal lawsuit against the CBC.”
Well, to be fair, I’m afraid he blew himself up on that one by trying to get ahead of the curve with his public “rough sex” admission.
If the CBC were forced to rehire him, look out for that early morning Iqaluit community news spot with Jian Ghomeshi…
G’yawn is tainted meat. He’s gonna have trouble finding a gig. Can’t imagine many brands that will want to be associated with him including the cbc.
I for one would rather Ghomeshi was not the means of the revelation of justice double standards. He is a scumbag, as for is show, I had never heard of it. His lawyer was smart to pick trial by judge, a jury would have convicted him on the knowledge alone of what a depraved sadistic twerp he really was. Yes, the ladies lacked credibility and did not provide evidence beyond a reasonable doubt. Then again not everyone has a good memory though perhaps fogged by the partying at the time. It’s a sad day for those ladies no doubt.
Ghomeshi isn’t out of the woods yet, he has another sexual assault trial for attacking a co-worker. He can disappear again for all I care. Too bad this horrid chapter will be used by anti rape culture types as evidence complainants are not treated fairly. They may have a point in this case, anyway bad example to use for a rational study of the issues around sexual abuse, though useful for zealots.
The Jian always knocks twice
I think the testimony of those witnesses kind of indicated they liked the rough stuff
Had to explain Falsus in uno, falsus in omnibus a lot today. Even if the concept has been largely abandoned, when the only objective evidence shows the witnesses to have lied under oath, what is the judge to do?
As far as the wrongful dismissal suit being launched I expect that, with the new CBC funding, it will be settled out of court with an award of ten million or more! After all its only taxpayer money and as far as the Liberals are concerned they can never run out of taxpayer money.
Well at least I managed a laugh out of this whole business. Yeah, old lover boy in some out of the way boondocks. I still hear that jingle on CBC Radio One. For months no usage of that word Q to introduce the host.
Now back and I can hardly comprehend the current host’s names. Shad ? and Pia Chatapadie. With respect to them both, very competent contributors to public radio.
When the Ghomeshi affair first blew up, I used to joke about Jian’s future prospects:
A few years hence and the voice of a morning announcer at an AM radio station somewhere in New Mexico:
“…and now here’s your farm and weather update with WXYZ’s own Juan Gomez…”
the ghomeshi acquittal has set the wonen’s rights movement back 25 years. He will now be once again the golden boy of the CBC that disgusting so-called media outlet.
That’s what I am thinking, but he might have difficulty with that given that there were lots of complaints about him from people he had to work with. They probably would have grounds for terminating his contract even without this.
Exactly….but there are always possibilities.
Either the filth of ViceTV or OutTV seem appropriate for Gyawn
From Wikipedia (I know, I know, not 100% reliable, but…):
“Ghomeshi withdrew his lawsuit on November 25, 2014.[75] The terms of settlement stipulated that Ghomeshi will pay the CBC $18,000 in legal costs.”
The key, I believe, to JG being found NG, was screwy Lucy’s letter, where she stated, AFTER her “rough” first encounter, that she “loved his hands” and….”You kicked my a__ last night and that makes me want to f___ your brains out tonight”.
That destroyed, clearly, her credibility. Made her look like she was seeking revenge for a failed relationship, rather than a REAL assault.
“the ghomeshi acquittal has set the wonen’s rights movement back 25 years.”
What?
The guy has been exposed as a creep he really is to the world. What I find interesting is that he saved every minute bit of evidence as if he was contemplating a defence while the “victims” couldn’t remember what they had for lunch. If he ever has a job in the media, the attacks aren’t going to be pretty.
I would disagree with you that the complainants were possibly treated unfairly in this case. I actually think it’s the opposite. They were treated with kid gloves by the Toronto Police Dept. I believe I read that one of them only had about a 30 minute interview with the police, and yet that was a sufficient enough ‘investigation’ to warrant charges?
I don’t doubt that Gomeshi is a creep and that he likely has done some nasty things to these and other women. But I have a problem with how the Toronto Police Dept handled the investigation.
Per a Feb 12th Christie Blatchford column:
Inspector Joanna Beaven-Desjardins said repeatedly that “We believe victims when they come in, 100%, we are behind them 100%,” and “We believe them right from the onset, there’s never a doubt about believing them” and “it’s all about the victims and moving them forward.”

It’s not up to the police to believe someone 100% from the outset – it’s their job to investigate and come to a conclusion based on their thorough investigation.
“the ghomeshi acquittal has set the wonen’s rights movement back 25 years.”
You say that like it’s a bad thing.
“It’s not up to the police to believe someone 100% from the outset – it’s their job to investigate and come to a conclusion based on their thorough investigation.”
I think this is a misunderstanding of the role of police in Canada. Here, police are expected to investigate, and then come to whatever conclusion is most convenient for the Police Union and their political masters of the moment.
Expecting them to base their charges on actual facts is hopelessly optimistic, I fear. That’s why lawyers are still in business.
“…the ghomeshi acquittal has set the wonen’s rights movement back 25 years…”
Explain this to us, if you can, as it makes no sense at all.
Senator Ghomeshi will have no trouble adjusting to the new trough, after all he has neen at the CBC trough for years.
It’s way over your head
cops are one, if not *THE* most politicized organization in the nation.
also, related to the topic of the post, I find it most, most interesting when those who either
– call for blood, or
– bleed profusely ‘from the heart’ (aka bleeding heart),
change their tune once *they* are on the ‘receiving end’ be it at the hands of
the perp or alternatively the crown/DA/whatever.
So the cops, the CBC, one of it’s disgusting employees , and feminism all lose. So why do I feel like they don’t care and we’re going to pay further.?
G’yawn’s acquittal means nothing in terms of his ‘wrongful dismissal’ action. He already lost that.
As a member of a trade union he has no right to sue his employer. The union on the other hand might now be called upon to attempt to have him re-instated at the cbc. Not much chance of that happening. He is a damaged brand.
Hopefully we have heard the last of him and his schtick.
I hate them, hate them all. I hate the CBC creep, I hate those who slept or otherwise associated with him knowing that he was from CBC, I hate the feminists banshees now screaming for his head. I hate and despise them all to such an extent that I want injustice to be served. If he is guilty I want him to get away with it, if his accusers are spreading pure 100% bovine excrement then I want them to win and destroy his life. These are all enemies jumping to each others’ throats, all I want is the highest body count possible and as much unfairness, injustice and collateral damage among them as possible. Neither deserves justice for they would never show justice to those who they oppose. A pox on them all.
Much like the case of Woody Allen last year, I’m hopeful that at least a few leftists will stop to critically examine the world and come to the right conclusions.
Sometimes the “victim” is a liar, and isn’t a victim.
Sometimes the courts fail to put away an obviously guilty guy.
Unfortunately, because this involves “rape” and because to the feminists “rape” is by far the worst crime that exists (worse even than murder), the opportunities for learning are low. This isn’t, tragically, a “teachable moment”.
“A pox on them all.” Well said. My feelings exactly. Couldn’t happen to a more deserving bunch.
