Really nice to see the editorial department at NRO have their editing degrees from Columbia or Harvard. Never knew that “Obama” was the beach where so many American lives were lost…all these years they have been misquoting it as OMAHA BEACH…or is this just the new revisionist history of the Obama administration?
Classless, but predictable.
His first wife, Jane Wyman and Oscar winning actress, was lifelong Republican and reportedly divorced the then Democrat Ronald Reagan partly due to politics. No wonder he switched sides.
Not long after Ronald Reagan’s presidency I had the honor of attending a luncheon speech by him and wound up sitting next to Nancy. If the media were to be believed RR would be doddering and Nancy would be cold and aloof. I was pleased to witness otherwise.
RR demonstrated a sharp wit and delightful humor. As for Nancy, I observed a demeanor that was endearing. She gazed adoringly at her husband and during his speech something happened that will always be locked in my memory.. A photographer had knelt between Nancy and I and In his haste dropped a zoom lens causing a loud clatter on the marble floor. My first thought was to brace for a testy response. Instead Nancy turned and bent toward the sheepish cameraman and said softly “is everything alright?” She had a look and tone of motherly concern which totally diffused the awkwardness. I left that event feeling like I had just been to a family function, they were that warm and genuine.
It is sad to think we may have seen the last of that class of leadership in this world.

A simple mistake.
For people who never studied history it’s easily confused with the b**ch that lost so many Americans their livelihoods.
Nancy Regan was a wonderful and very classy person. She will be missed.
She was a great lady. R.I.P. Nancy.
Ronald Reagan was one of the few great presidents.
There’s a book by the Secret Service on the presidents. They loved Ron and Nancy as they were genuine and friendly. Hated all the Democratic ones with the Clintons the worst.
You never know how good you had it til it’s gone.
