A world where Angela Merkel feels compelled to accept millions of migrants for Europe even to the detriment of Germany and where president Obama feels he can sign major international treaties with Iran without reference to Congress is an unstable world locked in a game that is no longer transparent. Who do politicians work for? It creates a world of dubious loyalties and unpredictable coalitions.
If the obvious conflict of interest has been ignored by the politicians, it has not been lost on the voters. Many plainly sense what economists call an principal-agent problem, which may be the source of the current voter revolt.

The elections, re-elections, and continued tolerance of the likes of Merkel, Obammy, turdo la doo, Wynne, Dildo McDinky, and a host of other parasites is proof positive that there is no revolt left in our dull, cowardly, western populations.
If there was such a thing as revolt, the downtown cores of capital cities would have been plugged with concerned and angry voters demanding the resignation of these arseholes a long time ago.

Alberta makes no transfer payments to Ontario at all. Zilch. The Federal Government makes all those payments.
Transfer payments to provinces are sourced from Federal tax revenues which come from individuals and corporations regardless of their location in Canada. A wealthy person in Charlottetown will contribute more taxes than poor person in Calgary. But as there are obviously more wealthy people in Alberta than PEI, Canada receives more tax revenues by far from residents of the former.
Who knows? At some point, perhaps Alberta will be following Ontario’s inglorious lead and receiving equalization payments too. Then maybe you can blame Nutley for mishandling your economy (even though the key culprit is the current price of a barrel of crude).
Let’s hope not. It’s bad enough Ontario has sunk so low to receive such payments; Alberta getting them too would really signal that we’re in trouble as a country.
This is actually an interesting article. It explains a lot about Obama – how any actions he takes that are not for immediate political gain always seem to be against the US and for foreign interests.

The states in the region exist as they are because of religion and very large extended family structure that properly compose of literal tribes.
The people see things in terms of religion, family, tribe.
It is what their culture is made of.
The states of the region have largely only existed since WWI.
Jettisoning the state itself matters not to them.
What Obama sees as superseding the state, the people see as an attack on their religion and tribe.
Their very culture, not the state, is what is attacked.
That is why the door is wide open to the existence of a Caliphate, an Islamic State.

The provinces, i.e. provincial governments, play no role at all in providing “transfer payments”, only in receiving them (or not). The monies that fund transfer payments are collected from all Canadians through Federal taxation, irrespective of where they reside.
It wouldn’t much matter if I were Liberal, Conservative, Green Party, Wild Rose or Parti Québécois; this is how the equalization programme works. If there isn’t enough money to go around, the Federal Government could:
1. increase Federal taxes;
2. increase the Federal debt (through borrowing); and/or
3. pay out less in transfers to the provinces.
