    I cannot imagine the emotion at hearing that political blather during your period of grief, knowing that this was nothing more than a PR move – an auditory “selfie”. That he told the boy to go hug his wife and kids showed more character than most of us would have had, even if it was done in sarcasm.
    PMJT and crowd are always preaching about being culturally relevant. Well, if you want to speak to these terrorists, you need to speak in a language that they comprehend. Our Armed Forces, fully unleashed, could do that very well. In the only language the terrorists would understand.

  12. Assuming that Mr. Harper was as cold-hearted as his opponents made him out to be, I will choose the latter.
    Refraining from public displays of affection or grief or whatever is quite often misconstrued as cold-heartedness. I believe that this was the case with Harper.

  14. Harper no doubt would have handled it differently. He appeared cold hearted but in reality I believe he was a decent pragmatic and feeling PM who made decisions in the best interests of Canada. Also, he was not a show off. Turdeau is a phony and says what he thinks people want to hear or what he is told to say. But he is only interested in himself and showing off because he’s “hip” or thinks he is. I have no respect for him but I had and still have a high regard for Harper who knew and understood what was going on in the world. He was there when needed and behaved like a Prime Minister not like a babbling self indulgent teenager. I’m glad that fellow hung up on Turdeau.

    Well no…they are mercenaries and as such hold no allegiance but to the next highest bidder.
    Trudeau, Libs in power… mission accomplished…”we(cbc/ media) put you there and we can take you down so pay up.”
    There’s no loyalty amongst thieves, nor co-conspirators.
    Everything comes with a price tag and loyalty bought once will continually have to be paid for.
    The huggie, feely carey part is there only for the benefit of the rubes, tinhorns and useful fools.

    I never saw any evidence of the Prime Minister being cold-hearted. He kept himself and his emotions in control but one could tell at times that he was struggling. I remember when he spoke at Cpl. Nathan Cirillo’s funeral and his obvious genuine grief.
    I can’t imagine that anyone he called would describe his call of condolences as a “canned speech”, which is what this father said about Jr. Since none of us had heard of this family and their charitable work, whey would Trudeau feel he had to say all Canadians were proud of them. We say that to the families of military killed but I don’t think that brings them any comfort either, and this family had a private charitable mission that none of us knew about.
    Trudeau did not take a stand against the Muslim terrorists and when you’ve just lost a family to a horrific bombing, listening to the Turd would be the last thing you’d need.
    Oh, btw, did he call before or after he visited the mosque in Peterborough where he held the moment of silence?

  19. I’m certain scar was being sarcastic. Cold-hearted was the standard accusation of the left re: Theresa Spence, accountability, Insite, etc.

  20. Oh the ignominy of it all. The PMO spent three days drafting and rehearsing the lines to be spoken by the part time substitute drama teacher and the audience pans the performance by figuratively walking out mid performance. Oh the shame. Doesn’t that audience appreciate fine art?

  21. Harper had a professional and business-like manner in dealing with the affairs of the country. He could be cut-throat in the political arena — which is typical and essential in politics. The last thing he was, however, was cold-hearted as a human being. In fact, if you read much into his background he seems to me to be particularly caring. He was characterized as “cold-hearted” by a crass media who seem to prefer phony public displays of emotion — something Harper was never good at.

  25. Justin is the Prime Minister that you want to invite to your frat party, have few fatties, and order lots of munchies and take selfies and then go out planking with. He is a barrel of fun to be around, making lots of un memorable memories.
    Stephen is the one you want to have negotiating a business deal with, making plans for the future and learning how history is shaping our future.
    The present day media are fixated with the former and the laughs and gags, the latter is too boring and too hard to relate too.

If anyone wants to know how PM Clowny really felt about these Canadians being slaughtered by Muslim terrorists simply check out the photo of clowny at the Mosque, all smiles and selfies.
