I don’t doubt it’s true and to see what it might look like, I went online and googled the Edmonton Police Service uniforms as they provided hijabs for female Muslim officers in 2014, I think it was. All it does is completely cover the hair and is hardly noticeable really as they’re still wearing the cap.
It’s just one more accommodation.
Is there really such a thing as a female Muslim police officer? Is there an observant Muslim male out there who would allow their wife or daughter to take such a job?

By definition, the wearing of the hijab reflects a belief in the superiority of Allah’s law (Sharia’h) over man made law. How does this square with the obligation of our national police force to uphold the law of the land? The RCMP, through wilfull ignorance, is allowing itself to be managed by those who put Canada, and its Western way of life, second to 7th century barbarity.

This event is only a small symptom of something much bigger. We are witnesses and the experimental subjects of a major transformation of our society. Before you know it, the Muslim men will be insisting that all women in the RCMP wear the hijab so as not to distract them in their duties. Since the duties if an RCMP officer aren’t compatible with Muslim beliefs (proximity to males, handling dogs, etc.) I do not see the point of making the hijab part of the uniform.

The blood that has been shed in the history of establishing the Western democratic concept will be as a drop in the bucket compared to what awaits the coming generations as they try to re-establish this ideal after we devolve back to the seventh century.

Also, in that 2013 article, they hadn’t had a request for one: they’re looking to reflect diversity in the community and facilitate a growing interest in policing careers from Edmonton’s Muslim community, said a news release.
That’s what the RCMP are doing also, I expect. And, who knows, possibly not one Muslim (not the religious kind who would wear a head covering) would want to join the RCMP. They also have dogs, you know.

That’s the point exactly. We are our own worst enemy, capitulating to the caliph seekers without them having to even make a request of us. It’s pre-emptive submission in order to avoid the embarrassment of appearing insensitive SHOULD a request ever be advanced.
The hajib is a symbol of adherence to the law of sharia and it is inimical to Canadian common law. One cannot have two parallel allegiances and if a cop does not hold sharia as their guide, there’s no need for the hijab. In fact in Islam there’s no requirement for the hijab anyway.
No folks, there’s never a slippery slope when you compromise your principles. Remember when abortion was going to be only to ‘protect the health of the mother’. Somehow the definition broadened to abortion for any reason, anytime, at any stage here in Canada. We’ll see the same thing with ‘euthanasia’ and most of us understood why allowing the turban would eventually lead to this.
Liberals will never accept the inherent contradictions in their logic. They champion abortion for any reason, unless its for sex selection or eventually aborting fetuses determined to be ‘gay’. Ditto euthanasia – it begins with those few legitimately wishing to end a protracted and deadly condition and eventually will end with the vulnerable, whose ‘quality of life’ is deemed sub-optimal. Using similar logic, I fall to understand how police forces will eventually refuse a woman insisting that the niqab or even the full burka – with big POLICE letters on the back – is a religious right.
Has no one in civic life the balls to say “No, this is not the Canadian way”?

Look at the uniform on Edmonton’s website. Check to see how many Muslim female officers are wearing it.
Quit wasting energy you’re going to need in the days and months ahead.
Let’s see what the RCMP come up with, and then see if some adventurous young modern Muslim female who wants to make a statement by forcing this on the rest of us even enlists.
