Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

My aunt went to a Trump rally in Sarasota last month. She said it was a blast.
Trump represents a giant middle finger to Obama, the media, political correctness, the Republican establishment, and America’s enemies all at once.
Well encapsulated Sid, Trump has our current overlords wearing Depends 24/7.
People are tired of the lies from th PC set and the MSM
Don’t know if Trump would be good or not but he may be the only one who doesn’t owe anyone.
So besides building a wall he may also build more jails to house all the corrupt politicians their minions and hangers onners.
Sh_t storm on the horizon?
Why is Trump so scary?
Is he uneducated?
Did he need a crutch to get through school?
Is he new and naive? Unaccomplished?
Does he socialize with criminals who blew up a police station?
Is he mentored by an anti-American fanatic?
Were his parents communists?
Seems like he is an American success story and doesn’t feel he needs to apologize for it.
Here’s what Conservative Review has to say about Donald Trump.
https://www.conservativereview.com/2016-presidential-candidates/candidates/donald-trump
@ Warren Zoell
You sure that’s the Conservative Review and not the “Cuckservative Review”?
(holds sides while laughing)
[deleted. Tone it down – ED]
Try not to be a fathead all the time. There’s a number of other good conservatives in the race.
What I find interesting is that The Donald is showing more than a bit of cowardice. For the first time, his pole position is being threatened by Ted Cruz. How does The Donald deal with it? Arguing from policy?
Nope, The Donald is trying out the “he’s not a legitimate American”.
I’m always amused by the media’s “Trump is stupid/ignorant” drumbeat, when they could just consult their archives and know that he represents a significant threat to them intellectually. From 1991, here’s his testimony before the House Task Force on Urgent Fiscal Issues:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rksd80-FCAw
We see his key point- the tax system was encouraging investment in the stock market, while discouraging real-world investment. He also recognized a trend in declining employment for the average person that was being hidden by that general stock market rise. He pointed out how good investments in real estate were being stymied by an inability to get credit. By applying his policy proposals, we could have seen an improvement in the real estate market while largely avoiding the real estate bubble we saw later (as there would have been more housing stock available at more reasonable rates to begin with, having slowly grown up organically, rather than flashed into existence).
The Conservative Review’s appraisal of Trump is pretty accurate although I think Trump is better on fiscal matters than CR gives him credit for. That said, Trump is no doctrinaire conservative. I would call him a pragmatist with conservative leanings. Ted Cruz, the lawyer and a good man, is far more the conservative purist. But he wages his battles in court. In peacetime, he would be the superior choice.
However, America is at war, with enemies both foreign and domestic. Both enemies must be brought to heel. Militant Islamists must be exterminated. And the cancer of progressivism must be excised from the body politic. This might involve some trampling of civil rights. Conservatives are in a cage match with progressives. The rules are rough and tumble. It is going to get very dirty and noses are going to get bloodied. Trump has the instinct for the jugular. He will go for the kill.
America is at risk. Donald Trump as Commander In Chief or Ted Cruz as Commander In Chief? Phrased this way, America will know what to do. Cruz’s time will come, in due course.
Of course, the Party of STUPID, currently represented by Nikki Haley, doubles down on its own stupidity.
Will the GOP really, once again, self-destruct, in the name of political correctness, to allow another Dumbocrat demagogue to be elected?
We shall see, but the Party of Stupid continues to be just that!
I can appreciate that Donald Trump gets under the left’s thin skin. That being said, I still think he is a blowhard appealing to popular sentiment, hence his fame.
I believe Ted Cruz is a better choice of statesman who has proven his mettle and scruples.
Does that make me “cuck”?
“Cucks” who want their daughters raped? Really? That’s how children or the left argue.
Hey don’t shoot the messenger. It’s not my fault Donald Chump is not all he’s cracked up to be.
Priorities, that is what is at play here.
Simply said, you don’t decide to mow the lawn when you have a grease fire raging on the kitchen stove.
That is what needs to be considered and carefully acted upon.
The Progressive Left in the States smells victory…it is so close they can almost wrap it up…mission accomplished.
If they can land their pro Obama policy candidate into office then they are sure there will be no turning back and the great American experiment will have died.
Should that happen, the world will be a much darker place.
And make no mistake, they will fight with every possible means both legitimate or otherwise to effect that victory.
What this means for middle class normal Americans is that they need the right person who will whole heartedly lead their cause.
At this juncture in history I believe that man could conceivably be Donald Trump.
Mr Trump would not be my first choice in better times and most likely it would be Ted Cruz…BUT Ted Cruz has a millstone around his neck …namely his questionable eligibility due to being born in Canada.
Oh, its pretty clear that he’s American and it shouldn’t be a technicality but as I said above, the progressives will use anything in their arsenal to discredit him and by extension confuse the too easily confused electorate.
Should the bias judiciary agree with them, all will be lost. The RNC will be scrambling at playing catchup…though the establishment Republicans might see this to their advantage!
Can America afford to take that chance? I think not.
As Blackfox said, Mr Trump knows full well where the jugular is and I believe he has the feral instincts to go for it.
Trump.
No script
Career politicians ,all script, allPC, all designer “truth”.
The career boys and girls are frightened of Trump and terrified of his followers.
Think back to the vicious attacks, slander and belittlement of the TEA movement.
The RINO’s did nothing to counter the progressive media attack on these taxpaying citizens, except applaud the abuse, as the TEA people are an open threat to their parasitic existence.
Trump brings in the voiceless people who have to balance their own books and live within their ever shrinking means.
His very wealth is his charm and armour.
Far too many populous saviours of the taxpaying citizens have sold out just as soon as they get power, bought or intimidated.
The GOP really should embrace Trump,as it is change now or enjoy a Marie Antoinette moment later.
Far too many of the current GOP senate and congress are progressive wearing conservative clothes, saying whatever they need to, to get elected.
Then betraying their constituents on every front.
If the demon rats win again, then law and order, justice and property rights will only exist in the hands of the armed citizen.
This is pretty obvious as our kleptocrat government minions have made it very clear, they are bound to obey no laws.
Obama has lead the most blatantly lawless federal government in USA’s history.
Well blackfox, you get a very big bingo for saying it exactly as it is. In normal times Cruz or maybe some of the other candidates might be a much better choice, but the US is at a crossroads with Venezuela at the end of one road and the great experiment on the other road. When an outright Marxist like Sanders has a good shot at being POTUS you know the country is in trouble.
Hopefully the people wake up to what is happening before they get a ride to the commissariat.
First time I have ever seen an intervention like this. Glad this was done to Paul. He has made many racist comments about me that I just let go cuz I am used to it. Anyway, here is my middle finger to you too Paul.
Ken, the world is in trouble. The intellect of the average citizen of any country is so low it is almost impossible to measure it. If the people were as clever as they think they are, we would not embrace socialism in any form, and islam would still be relegated to the primitive desert tribes from whence it sprang. I have watched the world slide down this slope for seventy plus years and nothing is improving. In fact, just the opposite is happening. Every time someone says, look I have a better idea, it usually is the opposite of better.
I kinda expected some backlash…If you scroll through other Donald trump stuff i have commented on it simply says Trump/CRUZ 2016. i think Cruz would be a good president but foreign policy i don’t think he has the fortitude to pull the trigger. i think he will still stick with the rules of engagement garbage.I don’t think Ted would build a wall and i don’t think ted would make mexico pay for it. No one seems to think america has a right to stand up for it self anymore or it’s people i also like Rand Paul too but he is on his way out. I don’t even under stand why any country needs immigration period let alone mass immigration it makes no sense to me.
As for my comments above i have been to various websites trolling the net and i have seen those exact statements made there are some truly sick people out there and that sickness is growing. The self loathing i see is unbelievable.
Modern metis girl stop crying i have never made a racist comment to you. You think everything that is about Indians is racist. How is chief Teresa Spence doing are her people still starving while she rides in a black escalade? Indian bands (not all ) are the biggest farse of corrupt lazy people i have ever seen. The Indian act should be scrapped.
If you were offended by my above comment i apologize. My intention is not to offend but rather shed light on the unbelievable sick demented willful destruction of the west and specifically white people and separately Christianity or christian culture.
This is all being orchestrated by who i have no idea. why? i have no idea.
‘old white guy’;
Ken and blackfox;
It is a intellectual war of ideas with progressives and conservatives are losing or have lost already. The world sees the USA as the last bastion of hope but Obama and the Clintons have won more than lost over the past decade. Canada has always been a light weight with a brief ray of opportunity under Harper that was squandered.
The keys to modern societies is education and media. Progressives have controlled both in Canada for multiple decades. In the USA there are pockets of resistance but in Canada there are none. The Harper government could have thrown SUN TV a bone before they folded and yet did not. I highly suspect that whatever bunch gain control of the CPC will be even more progressive in nature than under Harper.
The threat that Trump presents is not knowing how he formulates his positions. People assume it is from a business perspective drawn through years of operating a multi billion $ corporation. One might assume we could do no worse.
In my mind citizens have abdicated their responsibilities to those who mostly take advantage of power for their own purposes, left and right. Until people rally around a philosophy that provides a structure for making decisions they will always be open for progressives and even conservatives to exploit. Pending a fiscal collapse I do not see that happening.
Modern Metis Girl – and in response here is my middle finger to you. You natives play this racist card all the time when in fact you natives are the racist ones.
Corinthians 15:52-
In the twinkling of an eye, at the last Trump:
–
Even the Holy Bible speaks about Donald Trump.
–
No wonder Liberal Bastards are persecuting Christians…
“It is a intellectual war of ideas with progressives and conservatives are losing or have lost already.”
I’m afraid that you are right. New York Times’ Walter Duranty as well as others in the media and public figures in “the brave new world” were Stalin’s stooges here in North America in the 1930s and 1940s. I have mentioned the experiences of my friend and step-brother with communist students in teacher training at two separate universities in the late 1950s and early 1960s. Freedom loving people slept while the Marxists slowly took over all the main segments of our society, and now we see the results.

Let me ask you. Say Trump builds a wall along the Mexican border and then somehow gets Mexico to pay for it.
Wouldn’t Mexico consider themselves the owner of that wall? What would stop Mexico from revamping it or even tearing it down if they wanted to? The can of worms that would open.
If you’re going to build a wall it would be in ones best interest to pay for it by ones self an maintain ownership.
Right after the war, it may have been that “freedom loving people slept while the Marxists slowly took over” but I don’t think they slept so much as they were morally and intellectually exhausted by the war effort. I know my own father (who would have been 104 this April), after nearly five years of fighting, came back to Canada with my mother, myself and my younger brother, a bitter and broken man. When one considers the millions of troops who fought in the war you can see how an entire culture exhausted by war was vulnerable to sinister influences.
It is time to take the culture back. No prisoners.
Thumbs up! You gave me a good laugh. Must put it on my Facebook – a couple of Trump haters on it and I love to stir the pot.
WZ is it too difficult to imagine a wall built on the USA side of the line …. you know like your own property line in the back yard? Is it too hard to imagine that the cost to build that fence could be deducted from the lavish bundles of cash that the USA sends to Mexico year after year?
blackfox;
I cannot quote my source but I remember a article about a KGB spy who operated in Canada for over 20 years. He said their work was simply establishing relationships with educators and then influencing their views on all aspects of society towards a socialist perspective. I did not experience any overt left wing organizing until I left for university. This was in 1970 and the students were very active but I was shocked when I realized that professors were marking papers with better grades for those who towed the “party line”. Any student who had conservative leanings or simply an enquiring mind had those perspectives routed from home. Since these beliefs were under attack and there was no ‘support’ system I suspect many students either folded or withdrew from the debate.
A far as active socialist/communist activity it was well established by 1900. I was surprised reading a Jack London biography how many ‘clubs’ were sprinkled across the USA at that time. London was a leading communist and actually ran for mayor of Oakland as a communist. As his book sales increased London became dissatisfied with the communist and left the party. Go figure. 🙂
Another interesting biography was William Randolf Hurst and his description of fighting the communist organizers in the print unions. Of course Ronnie Reagan fought the communist in the Screen Actors Guild after WWII and won!
Sadly the effort to confront progressives has been brutally ineffective if any fight was made at all.
My point is about ownership. If you pay for something shouldn’t you have a reasonable expectation to own it? It wouldn’t matter how it’s paid for. But in this case it would create precarious situation.
I guess the main point I’m trying to make is that Donald Trump’s idea of making Mexico pay for a wall may make a good soundbite but it isn’t very well thought out and would have no bases in reality.
IMHO.
The takeover took place over many decades, with serious infiltration by home grown Marxists (communists)of our institutions, especially the media and educational facilities, during the 80s and 90s. Now they are so confident of victory and the final collapse of liberal democracy that do not even hide their agenda anymore, although do use deceptive language like social justice, etc..
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5gnpCqsXE8g
WZ it isn’t Mexico’s money. That is the point. It’s American money dolled out to Mexico as a feel good gesture. It’s American money allocated to Mexico that will will be redirected to the construction of the wall until it is paid for. After that time, if US printing presses can keep up, Mexico will once again be given feel good funds. It’s kind of a play I think. After all no matter what or how Trump does it, cut backs in transfers or import taxes-tariffs, the optics will be that Mexico is paying.
And to CT:I have no dispute of your respective accounts of the history of Marxist infiltration into the culture. My comment was meant to reflect why the culture was left undefended after the second world war:
My parents (and their generation) were unwilling and/or unable to supervise the moral and cultural upbringing of their children. As a consequence, my brother, sister and I (and our generation) went to university with ill defined and unstructured moral concepts.
Nature, as has been observed, abhors a vacuum, and the Marxist professors were only all too happy to fill this moral and cultural vacuum with their poisonous ideology. And these post war second generation students became the political and managerial elites who, in turn, poisoned all the institutions they came into contact with. The rest, they say is history.
Ken, I have seen the video you linked to before, and it offers a very valuable insight into communist strategies for corrupting the west. Not only should it be watched but watched several times to get the full impact.
Thanks to the both of you for your comments.
That’s a good point. However it would certainly create a lot of animosity between the two nations. Plus the money given to Mexico is also meant to help US interests as well. Cut that back and it may affect US interests.
Here’s a 2012 breakdown
”
The U.S. Government gave a total of $209,432,920 to Mexico in 2012:
The aid was broken down in the following manner:
Economic
Child Survival and Health: $-12,200
Department of Defense Security Assistance: $39,854
Development Assistance: $17,948,047
Economic Support Fund/Security Support Assistance: $40,810,450
Global Health and Child Survival: $3,894,197
Narcotics Control: $27,565,779
Nonproliferation, Anti-Terrorism, Demining and Related: $7,074,531
Other Active Grant Programs: $15,381,152
Other State Assistance: $2,700,596
Other USAID Assistance: $2,764
Other USDA Assistance: $372,914
Peace Corps: $2,000,836
Military
Military Assistance, Total: $91,654,000
Now whether or not that money actually goes to where it is supposed to is another matter.
Blackfox, you ask a great question as to why the culture was left undefended. I cannot answer that except that in general the people were war weary and the infiltrators were already among us. The infiltration was so slow and gradual that all except the most observant never saw it coming. Even today, most of the people do not realize the extent to which our society has been changed by Marxism. The communists did not want a violent revolution as they knew this would not work with freedom loving and a free enterprise society. So they accomplished the same end result the slow way.
