  1. I hope some of the terrorists survive. Maclean’s can use them on their front cover for next week.

  2. There’s certain eeriness in the air tonight, most likely because most of us remember what we were doing on the morning of 9-11, and the scene in Paris is somewhat similar. I was headed for the Ford dealership in Moose Jaw to have a power window repaired when the news broke that the first tower in NY had been hit. I was flabbergasted, so I pulled over to the side of the street, and parked in front of a small Greek Orthodox church on South Hill that had a small stone cairn beside it. The letters were in Greek, so I couldn’t make out what it read. But I do recall contemplating on the fact that there was so much hatred and discord in the world.
After the car was fixed, I went to a small book store on Main Street named the Oak and Rose. I had ordered a book, and while I was paying for it, the news came on the radio that the second tower had fallen. I remember the look on the young lady’s face as she rang up my sale. She then informed me that she had a nephew in the NYPD. The book store closed a few years later.
Just a few days ago, I met the owner of the book store who now works as a salesman at Sears in Moose Jaw. He remembered the morning of 911 so well. We contemplated on that day. It all came back to me tonight. I hope that someday we find an end to the insanity of terrorism.
I don’t want to get into politics tonight, I would lose my cool if I did. Some of my ancestors are from France, I’m just going to pray for all the victims. May God bless them all!

  3. Does anyone else notice the disconnect in language between PM Trudeau and just about every other Canadian leader? Trudeau said the attacks were “worrying” and “unsettling” and then went on to blather about “rights and freedoms.” The GG condemned the heinous acts and atrocities. Rona Ambrose used similarly strong language. What’s with Trudeau that he only finds “unsettling” a terror attack that kills 158+ and injures several hundred more? At least his father had the ***** to take strong action and say “let the bleeding hearts bleed” when the FLQ kidnapped the British consul and a Quebec cabinet minister. I suppose these events don’t fit the narrative that Trudeau is trying to pedlle (viz his Defence Minister saying a few hours ago that Canadians had nothing to fear from ISIS.)

  4. A song by ”Alabama” to help soothe the pain of the families and friends of those who died, or were wounded or maimed in Paris today!! And of course, for those who weep with them! May God bless them all. Que Dieu les bénisse tous!

  5. Re: Boy Trudeau!
I was looking at the comments on various websites, (CBC, Yahoo, CTV etc.) and I have a strong feeling that Trudeaumania will end soon, especially if the Syrian refugees are allowed to enter Canada. Just a hunch!!
And do keep in mind that the sooner Trudeau’s popularity starts to drop, the sooner Canada will start to flourish again!!

  6. Will hollywood pinhead Liam Nesson blame this on american gun owners and demand the confiscation of all privatly owned guns? Stupid hollywood potheaded booze swilling nincompoop

  7. Our new PM will keep us safe by;
Pulling our jets from the ME.
Dropping the court fight against the niqab.
    Gutting C-51 as too intrusive.
Scrapping C-24 that would deport terrorists.
    Soften our support of Israel.
    Hobble our oil industry.
And of course, fast-track 25,000 ‘refugees’ from the area.
Every move he makes benefits hard-core islam.
These measures will make Canada a safe haven from terrorist attacks.
Why would anyone want to hurt their best friend in the non-islamic world ?

  8. Papa’s priority was to do away with his reputation as Trudeau the tapette. Security theatre isn’t a recent invention.
Laporte’s murderers weren’t actually caught till after Trudeau had announced plans to withdraw troops from Quebec, and were only lightly punished. By the time Trudeau left public life all had been paroled. One of them, Paul Rose, went on to lead the Quebec wing of the NDP.
In the meantime James Cross’s kidnappers had been granted free passage to Cuba, with the consent of Trudeau’s friend Fidel.

  9. All good points………. have you noticed the other curiousity coming from this new Trudeau: he is issuing “mandates” to cabinet ministers, telling the Transportation Minister to ban oil tankers in Canadian waters off Prince Rupert, telling the Minister of National Revenue to tell CRA to stop investigating leftist political “charities”, etc. Where did Prime Ministerial “mandates” come from? I thought cabinet meetings were where they got their marching orders. Publicly released “mandates” doesn’t quite fit with the notion that cabinet ministers are to speak for themselves and that we have “cabinet” government with collective decision-making. It is, of course, more like the French system where the President of the Republic issues “decrees” that all his ministers and factotums have to hop to obey.

“Hard news faces the same kind of extinction as newspapers and magazines, the result of a dramatic death spiral of reporting jobs and ads and the rise of the type of opinion journalism popular two and three centuries ago, according to a new report and analysis.”
“The sheer numbers of print’s downfall are depressing:
There are half as many people reporting on the news than four decades ago, to just over 32,000.
Daily newspapers have gone from a high of nearly 1,800 per 100 million in 1945 to about 400.
Circulation per capita has dropped below 15 percent.”

  11. Yes,Trudeau’s plan will definitely make Canada a safe haven for Islamics to breed and thrive. It’s another example of how the Trudeau Charter, coupled with it’s unelected interpreters in the Supreme Court, will eventually take the country down. We will stand for nothing,we will fight for nothing, we’re already on our way, we elected the right people to do it, Trudeau who has no clue and his toadies who are scrambling to look like they know what the hell they’re doing. Seasoned political watchers can see right through their mess.
We are not in good hands.

  12. I hope that someday we find an end to the insanity of terrorism.
Well, to start we must name the enemy, islam, which is not a religion but a supremacist totalitarian ideology. Yes, yes, I know. Look, not all Germans were Nazis and not all Nazis were in the SS.
Remember, they’ve been doing it for 1400 years and their mythical prophet set the example.

  14. Here is what worries me the most about living in Canada with Trudeau and Company at the helm of this great nation!!
As the events unfold in Paris this AM, (9:45 CST) we now know that one of the terrorists was carrying a Syrian Passport. From an interview with CTV, the French Ambassador to Canada, Mr. Nicolas Chapuis, stated that the French intelligence agencies knew about the threat of an attack some time ago; where or when was the only unanswered question. Is there any doubt in our minds that the French, American, British and other European intelligence agencies would not have shared this info?? I don’t think so!!
Yet our own Minister of Defense, who would by now have been regularity briefed by CSIS, made the following statement on Thursday, Nov. 12-215 in this story..
“ISIS is a threat, no doubt about that. Should we fear it? No. The Canadian population should have full confidence in all the security services to keep us safe.”
This is the full story! Pass it on!!

This is, after all, Canada’s Media-Approved Grand Old Liberal Party.
The Party of Trudeau and…er Trudeau. Power Corp. Desmarais. Strong. Thompson.Laurention elite.
The Party of Women and their feminized men.
The Party of young people. And the 16 year old vote.
The Party of Immigrants. Security clearance not required due to politics.
In other words. The Party of the Prototypical
    Low Information Voter.
Take into account Canada’s infamously co-opted media.
    Makes for easy solutions.
Pointing out the end of Harper’s legacy of hate while simultaneously embracing sturdy revenue increases culminating in a mediatastic Group Hug will show all that Canada is back.
And I really can’t wait to meet the new Conservative Leadership contenders.

  19. “Canada’s new Defence Minister on ISIS—nothing to see here folks”
“But there is no doubt Sajjan is Justin’s boy.
A week after being sworn in as Canada’s Defence Minister, Sajjan was interviewed by the CBC’s Susan Ormiston, who seemed more interested in the minister being called a “badass” than his thoughts on his ministry.
But Sajjan did comment on ISIS. He said, “ISIS is a threat, no doubt about that. Should we fear it? No. The Canadian population should have full confidence in all the security services to keep us safe.””

  20. Israel may be next target of ISIS? Yes, but only if the collective civilized world gets off its ass and starts kicking ISIS butt. Then they will try to change the channel by attacking Israel. The problem is the IDF will slaughter them without mercy. Maybe that’s Justin’s secret plan. Let others carry the freight while taking the credit. Isn’t that what “Canadians want?”
“Syria’s dictator Bashar al-Assad promised that if he wins the war against the Islamic State, he would turn his attention towards fighting Israel. Meanwhile, the Islamic State has made threats towards Israel and instructed their followers to find any non-Muslim and ‘smash his head with a rock, slaughter him with a knife’.”
It doesn’t matter which sides prevails in this war, either way, Israel may find itself as the next target. This border presents far greater threat to Israel – from Iran and its proxy terrorist group Hezbollah. Syria serves as a gateway from Iran into Israel, and this northern border could potentially turn into another war front.”
During this week’s visit to Washington D.C., Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu asked the U.S. to recognize Israel’s sovereignty in the Golan. Sadly, U.S. President Barack Obama rejected this request. Obama insists that Golan is Syrian territory, despite an annexation according to international law. There are thousands of Israelis living the Golan, hundreds of Druze protected by Israel, and no Syrians.”
Rejecting Israel’s request may be an easy position to take from Washington D.C., but it makes no sense from where I was standing in Golan. Israel’s control of the Golan Heights limits the spread of the Syrian war and helps protect Israel from future threats. That’s an unavoidable fact.”

“The credibility of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s foreign policy has taken a serious hit just as he embarks on his first foray to world capitals.
The Paris terror attacks are seen by many as testament to the need for hard power when dealing with the Islamic State – this while the new Canadian Prime Minister has been preaching, and was elected on, a soft power Liberal line.”
“From the tone of comments posted on online news articles, public opinion is running strongly against the dovish Liberal plans. “Canada stands with the French people and is now in the process of gathering up all of our unicorns, rainbows and hugs to send to the French people,” said one poster. “Just don’t expect us to do anything, you know, like whip out our F18s or fight for our freedom.” Another wrote: “Good to know the Trudeau government and unmuzzled scientists and first ministers will be heading to Paris at the end of the month to talk about climate change, sunshine and butterflies.”
There were many calls for Mr. Harper, who may well be feeling a sense of vindication over what has happened, to return to the job.”

“The “small people”, the “rank and file”, the “loyal soldiers” of the narcissist – his flock, his nation, his employees – they pay the price. The disillusionment and disenchantment are agonizing. The process of reconstruction, of rising from the ashes, of overcoming the trauma of having been deceived, exploited and manipulated – is drawn-out. 22. Yes but, as David Warren notes over at Essays in Idleness, this terrible situation, with no more dead than the average downed airliner, is more about grabbing the world’s attention! And so they have, for three days and running, on nearly every channel – certainly at my fave, FoxNews. As David notes, we are not meaning to be callous, but France has not unleashed their armed forces, nor shut down their airports and entries, as the said they would, nor will Trudeau return to strafing and bombing their hideout. Neither will he cancel the promises of 25000 immigrants by the New Year. When it really affects the world, someone wake me up – please!

  23. Look, not all Germans were Nazis and not all Nazis were in the SS.
But we bombed all their cities to rubble anyway.
