Running numbers.

Following the Paris attacks and prior to Trudeau’s remarks, I fully expect him to double down on his promise of 25 thousand refugees before Christmas.
So, the numbers. 25,000 refugees that we’re promised by Mr. Goodale will be properly vetted. (interview at 20:00 mark) Now, I’m no doctor or security professional so these are made-up assumptions, but they probably aren’t -too- far out.
Medical check, let’s call it two hours per refugee for a somewhat detailed exam.
Security check, I’m going to guess at eight hours per refugee.
25k * 2 hours / 24 hours (24/7 baby) = 2,083 days
25k * 8 hours / 24 hours = 8,333 days
So in order to get the checks done before Christmas (42 days) CSIS will need 200 people working 24/7 (no sleep) on security checks and 40 doctors to check health.
Good luck with that.

  1. In a couple of weeks the golden child will join world “leaders” to face the worlds biggest crisis:
    The weather…?

  2. Gee! You gotta wonder if the environmental meetings that will be the P.M.’s first international venture, are to be called off now that ISIS is now active (once again) and whether he will give a second thought to his demands for 25000 refugees in time for the New Year celebrations?

  3. Awful thing to say but this is what has to happen for the masses to pressure the annointed ones and the hair apparents into confronting the real problem. No one has died by climate attack, or warm weather, from taking a holiday in warmer climates like Mexico or Hawaii, murder maybe a few, but many have died by terrorism, the elites need to have their sorry money sucking asses kicked. For elected officials to be so stupid and or evil to fall for “Glowball Warming” when innocent people are being slaughtered by these animals is beyond comprehension. Canada wanted change, the media CBC CTV and Glowbull said, well here is the change coming to a city near you change seekers under Justy.

  4. I doubt that Ralph Goodale can wipe himself unaided so any thought that he will insure public safety is an illusion or more properly a delusion. We can hope that the bureaucrats have some integrity and that the process works but that scene of bureaucrats cheering the Libs doesn’t give me much confidence in the integrity of the public service. We’re all doomed. Its just a matter of time until what happened in Paris tonight happens in Toronto or Vancouver. Calgary and Winnipeg won’t be far behind.

  5. But there is no question that this happened because there is someone who feels completely excluded.

  6. First of all these are bureaucrats who have difficulty working at all let alone at a fast pace. Secondly, it normally takes 42 months to process one and your going to process 25000 in 6 weeks. Good luck with that.
Boom-coming soon to a theatre near you.

  7. Last night on cbc they said they will not be vetting them before they bring them to the country. Some will be vetted by the Un ( you trust that ? ) and the rest will be vetted after they arrive. Once the are on Canadian soil it will be very hard to get rid of them , no matter who or what they have done . Every one who comes here needs to be a true refugee who wants to live and work within the framework of are society. They must be vetted befor they come here. It is time to let the government know loudly and often this is the minimum that is acceptable . Unrealistic election promises be damed.

  8. My guess would be closer to one half hour for medical checks and under a hour for security checks. Most of these refugees have no papers with them so taking their word is about all you’ve got. I would offer them a bacon and tomato sandwich though. Reject any that pick out the bacon.

  9. Sure the murders are a shame, but the real tragedy would be that we would allow these attacks to undermine our determination to face our real enemy: global warming.

  10. Where is trudeau? The French and us presidents have both spoken. What is the delay?
He is getting coached on what to say, he does not know. Remember the interview with mansbridge when the bombs went off in the boston marathon? He blamed people being excluded, and poor.

  11. No-No, it was Harper who wanted to give priority to persecuted Christians. Shiny Pony aligned himself firmly with the muslims!
On junior’s watch, I expect Christians will be ignored in favor of ANYBODY else!

  12. And pigskin jackets.
Well one of the problems when trying to prevent damage from the 5th column folks, is identifying the traitors inside your society.
After importing 25000 invaders, I mean refugees from Allah, soldiers of Allah, umm whatever these driven young men are.
We will know who hates Canada more than reason.
Our grandchildren will know the right words;”Praise the Lord & pass the ammunition.”
Most interestingly, these kind of massacres highlight the lie inherent in our tax hogs, “We will protect you, had over your taxes.”
    Except they cannot.
The death cult members are only identified when they start to kill.
The threat of prosecution is meaningless to a suicide chump.
The only protection possible, is self protection.
Either every citizen carries a gun or all freedoms and civil rights are gone from society.
Guess which choice the Libtards will make.

  13. Where is Justin’s response to the Paris attacks?
I fear for the future of Canada under our newly elected liberal majority government.

  14. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA…
You wrote “bureaucrats” and “integrity” in the same sentence!

  15. You can’t “vet” thousands of refugees.
Exactly what extensive personal information files will the Federal Government draw on?
Gosh, will they call up family members and friends in Syria to get the background checks done? Former employers? The Syrian authorities?
It’s all a nonsense, mes amis.

  16. Medical vetting of refugee should besides a basic physical exam, include blood work to determine to determine if the applicant are ill and/or carrying a communicable disease, viral or bacterial.
If not, there is a risk of bringing infectious diseases from the Middle-East, Africa, Pakistan et al into Canada. That might include polio and Tuberculosis.
Likewise they will have to provide a vaccination protocol for a full range of diseases we have under control here.
Someone with Hep C or AIDS would cost Canadian health care budgets to be reduced for those already here. There is a limit to budgets, resources and personnel in the health field.
As for Security Screening, first interviews trying to determine if the applicant actually knows anything about Syria, as a brand new passport indicates, and the area it lists him as from.
Secondly, Western countries have lists and identifying information about identified Islamist Jihadis around the world. They would try to see if the applicant might be one of them. European police have arrested a number of known terrorists among the migrants.
Checking into criminal and/or Islamist backgrounds there is no functional Syrian police/security agency that is fully functional across the country. Islamist jihadis sent to infiltrate will be provided a cover story and documentation, but I.S. and Al-Quaida depend on sheer numbers to slip enough through to pull off terrorist attacks or go to ground until activated in the future.
Europe has many Islamist organizations who will try to radicalize and recruit naive´migrants coming into the West. That includes Canada.
The Minister of Public Security, Ralph Goodale mentioned that after a year of federal monies supporting refugees. They then become the responsibility of the province’s Social Services, health and education system. It can take 2 generations before the refugees are fully employable and paying their own way.
That will not apply to the parents/grandparents which P.M. Trudeau, the 2nd, has promised to allow in. The health care burden, the costs are highest in the last 2-5 years of ones life. They will never work long enough to pay for that. It’s a net reduction on what can be spent on current residents.
Also, the reason for bringing in parents/grandparents is to raise the couple’s children according to the cultural/religious values of the “old country”, to keep them from becoming Canadian.
Any problems that arise from this rushed refugee program will be hidden and for reasons of “privacy” their background will be hidden if crimes/terrorist activities occur. Being housed temporarily on military bases, any problems will be blamed on C.I.S.I.S./RCMP/Cdn.Border Services/Cdn. Armed Forces. It will not be blamed on the Trudeau government. The MSM will see to that.
All federal Liberal comments will be pre-approved by the new Dept. of Don’t Worry, Be Happy.

  17. I watched Justin Hairdo’s speech on the CBC strictly for entertainment purposes. Needless to say it was completely underwhelming. Justin never fails to disappoint. While it’s been ages since I watched the CBC for anything, particularly what passes for “news” on that network, putting me in a rather weak position to judge changes in expression of the personalities who appear there, I must say that both Ian Hanomansingh (sp) and Justin seemed to suddenly lack the smug self-satisfied looks which normally characterize those who “know” how the world works and have done so since they were fifteen. It’s as though they’d suddenly been exposed to a thing called, “reality”. I doubt it will last though. I give them a week until they’re back to obsessing over the colour of the drapes at 24 Sussex. But it was fun to see, if only for a minute, those smug expressions wiped from their faces.

  18. Trudeau is proving to be a wet noodle already, his response was pathetic, I do not feel safe with him and his Cabal in charge. He needs to rethink his plan to bring back our jets fighting ISIS with our allies. You fight the bastards where they hole up and train or fight them on our own soil.
The Trudeau Liberal Cabal need to rethink their plan to bring in 25000 refugees by Christmas, they cannot possibly process them and know absolutely who they in the first place and in such a in such a short time they are risking our safety. Let them bring in some women and children, let their men stay and fight.

  19. Perhaps the refugee vetting could be assisted by Ohmar Kater (sic). Trudeau has defended him often enough.

  20. I heard that Trudeau said he was “shocked” in regard to this attack. Anybody with the most minor connection with reality would be very well aware that such an attack would occur. Only an imbecile would be “shocked” by this kind of attack.

  21. …. Lance, that assumes that not a single one of those 25k gets rejected.
    It will take longer.

  22. …. Lance, that assumes that not a single one of those 25k gets rejected.
    It will take longer.

  23. Mr Trudeau thinks we have a big problem. He doesn’t want to do anything about it. That should be good enough for the Canadian people apparently.

  24. So we really want 25,000 new folks from the Middle East in Canada by the “Holiday Season”, a month from now? Fuk it. I give up.

  25. Possibly the very time when we need Stephen Harper at the helm. I saw a former intelligence official with CSIS being interviewed on either CTV or CBC. He came out very hard nosed on terrorists. He declared that Canada and it’s allies need to go in to Iraq and Syria. He said that is how to cut them off. I was impressed….. he cautioned against being reactionary and dumping on anyone. Fair enough.
He then said we don’t want a police state like Harper wanted.
Can these guys never give up.

  26. I have a plan for Canada.
Trudeau said the problem with the terrorists is due to unemployment.
Trudeau should fire the civil service and offer all the jobs to the invaders….oops……wonderful Syrian refugees.
No Muslim unemployment. No terrorism. This boy Trudeau might very well be a genius capable of solving the Muslim issue.

  27. Sent not only to the PM and Ministers, but to everyone in my address book. Please folks, consider sending your own message ASAP. I’m not convinced it will have any effect, but not speaking up will definitely not.

    Dear Prime Minister Trudeau;
In light of today’s events in Paris France, I believe it is incumbent on yourself, Minister of Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness Ralph Goodale and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship, Stephane Dion to reassess your campaign commitment to bring 25,000 Syrian refugees into Canada in the next six weeks.
The majority of those so often seen on television are economic migrants rather than UN designated refugees. This is not to diminish their plight, but the simple fact is that vast numbers of these migrants are young men aged roughly from 20 – 30 years of age and there is simply no way to ensure that some of them do not harbour jihadist ideology and/or intent to do harm.
Your first responsibility lies in the protection of the Canadian public and it is simply impossible to apply the level of security investigation necessary to such numbers in such a brief time. We have seen ‘lone wolf’ attacks from several Canadian born jihadists as well as attempts launched from Canada (the bomber intent on attacking LAX who attempted to cross the Peace Arch border station) and based on the proclaimed intent of ISIS and other jihadist organizations, we would possibly be opening our doors to undue and unnecessary dangers to Canadian citizens.
In regards to your government’s priorities, it bears repeating: Jihadist terrorism is responsible for tens if not hundreds of thousands of deaths, while ‘climate change’ cannot empirically be blamed for one.
    Respectfully

  28. If the Dauphin were serious about helping peace-loving people escape Islamic terror, he could offer PR visas to Englishmen and Frenchmen interested in starting new lives in Canada. He’d find takers for a lot more than 25,000 visas, believe me, and be confident they’d be an asset to their new nation and not a burden to the people already here.
All the Dauphin is actually doing, of course, is repaying the imams for services rendered.

  29. “The Barbarian hopes — and that is the mark of him, that he can have his cake and eat it too.He will consume what civilization has slowly produced after generations of selection and effort, but he will not be at pains to replace such goods, nor indeed has he a comprehension of the virtue that has brought them into being. Discipline seems to him irrational, on which account he is ever marvelling that civilization, should have offended him with priests and soldiers…. In a word, the Barbarian is discoverable everywhere in this, that he cannot make: that he can befog and destroy but that he cannot sustain; and of every Barbarian in the decline or peril of every civilization exactly that has been true.
We sit by and watch the barbarian. We tolerate him in the long stretches of peace, we are not afraid. We are tickled by his irreverence; his comic inversion of our old certitudes and our fixed creed refreshes us; we laugh. But as we laugh we are watched by large and awful faces from beyond, and on these faces there are no smiles.”

  30. Don’t hold your breath. The Saudis helped Bay Street buy Justin the PMO.
Seems François Hollande was at that stadium when the suicide bombers cashed in their virgins. In other words, nobody who mattered was ever in real danger.
Trust me, François is far more useful to the Saudis alive than dead. And so is Justin. The security theatre when the important swan into Paris will be just that and nothing more.
Contrast the case of Margaret Thatcher, who meant business about standing up for Britain and against terrorists. Only divine providence saved her from assassination by the IRA—certainly not British intelligence.
One day we’ll find out what François knew ahead of time about both the Charlie attacks and the attacks tonight—and the incentives he was given to look the other way, twice in one year.

  31. It’s easy to picture all those hand-wringing idiots who voted in this abomination to now be second guessing their choice. I see it happening all over Mrs. frs’ Facebook pages. Rabid Lib supporters suddenly in fear of the 25 thousand. Ha Ha! I’d hate to imagine I’m alone in lamenting that if death and destruction were inevitable, would it not have been slightly more agreeable for the islamo-nazis to have waited for the COP21 enviro-nazis. More forgivable as well for the CBC, in their special way of falling short on their reporting.
    ….just sayin’

  32. So what about the euopean Union and strict gun control laws and its No Guns for the citizens of euroweenie union

  33. Everyone who voted for the Spawn and his CAGW puppet-master should bare responsibility for the future actions of the 25000 retrorades being foisted upon a non-consenting populace by the Canadian state. It is they who enabled this entitled man-child to de-industrialize the energy industry while fertilizing the nation with an unknown horde guaranteed to contain non-assimilating Jihadi parasites.

  34. perhaps ms merkel can provide some pointers on how to streamline the process. after all SHE foisted some FORTY TIMES this number on her countrymen.
whats that? they dont vet *anyone* anymore? ooooh. Im gonna have to reconsider my plans to spend an extended visit to the old world why I divest myself of this place. in fact, is there *anywhere* on the globe that will not be deemed a SHYTHOLE seeing as these new millennium gypsies are going to occupy all corners by then…..
ah there I go again neglecting my shift key. tsk tsk tsk.

  35. We have a basic flower child at the helm, elected by enough people who have no clue, brainwashed by the media and unions. He mentioned about those freedoms, no doubt as dictated in his father’s Charter, apparently they come before safety. For anyone with a functioning brain with the capacity for reasoned thought it’s not a problem beyond a bit of inconvenience to give up some freedoms for safety given the nature of the threats we face from Islamic murderers.
The Liberals in charge of this country are a shaky lot, not organized with a “leader” who is in apprenticeship. This horrible event should give pause for sober thought to Canadians who were eager to dump a capable man, Stephen Harper, who had a grasp on the reality of what the world is dealing with civilized Western World is dealing with.
We are not in good hands. We do not know who is really calling the shots.

  36. How democratic are we really? A person gets elected to lead who is not ready for the job who is then advised by unelected people chosen by the party. Then, when difficult decisions need to be made they get sent to the unelected Supreme Court where decisions are based on their interpretations of the Trudeau Charter.
Canada doesn’t need an elected Senate, we need an elected Supreme court.

  37. Nothing like opening your home to invaders leave thema welcome mat Most all the world is doing his for these so called refugees and brain-dead world leaders are laying out the mats
