Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

The unsurpassed beauty of the politics of envy.
‘Tax the 1%’ is a fig leaf for confiscating the property of the rich. But they can’t say that. Not out loud, anyway.
Revenue is confused with assets, either by ignorance, or willfully.
Train the kids into being obediant worshipers of Gaia so when their adults they will bow to the images of animals and plants and leave little offerings of food and miricle grow
Trudeau voters are likely lapping this up and saying Cavuto is a big meany not wanting to pay for all the “free” stuff. Dirty old one per center!
Neil missed a great question.
“Snowflake, don’t you think your priorities are in need of a rethink?
The number one demand in your case should be free brain transplants.”
This young lady would probably do a decent job of organizing a campus bake sale or chairing the Prom Queen Selection Committee. Anything beyond that … not so much.
Alberta is f**ked. Calgary is f**ked. Edmonton is f**ked. We have NO ONE to advocate for us. Ralph Klein is gone. Peter Lougheed is gone. Hell, even Allison Redford and Jim Prentice are gone. And the Globe, the CBC, the CTV all fawn and slaver and genuflect to the new feds. I really do, for the first time in my 66 years, fear for my country. I really, really do. Front page headline in the Globe yesterday, gleefully ran something like “New cabinet going all in on climate change” Arrghhh.
“Just scraping by to put me through school.”
Cavuto should have asked her to hold up her iPhone (bet you dollars to donuts she had one) and ask how much she could pawn it and the gold chain around her neck in order to pay back her parents.
She’s happy with confiscation of wealth, but it happy to accumulate it herself.
Good one! 🙂
Hippies and ramen-noodle-slurping students want the biggest buck for what they sell. They hate capitalism only insofar as the label doesn’t stick to THEM. They tend to be part of the underground economy, but they price their goods at top dollar.
@ Jason: “Meaning what? You’ll decide what they should pay, who they should give their money too? Maybe you think there is a gov’t body that can make that decision for them?”
Nope, none of those things. I simply try to imagine what I would do if I were a billionaire. I’ll bet that both you and I could do some positive things with that kind of discretionary money …. so can they. And do it without the government telling them what or how to do it. Oh, and they don’t have to sell their yacht to do it either.
@5:17 “…I see a system around me where there’s a population that’s doing nothing to contribute to the progression of society”
She nailed it on the head, but not in the way she thinks she did.
Teachers should get paid like farmers. For what they produce.
