  1. I like the part where she says her friends would be happy to pay a 90% tax if they get to the $200k mark.
That would leave them with, let’s see…

  2. Welcome Sam. “Liberty for me but not for thee” is what you are seeing on display in this video. She is essentially advocating slavery. Mine and yours. It’s a war that we fight and sadly you will also need to fight which, never ends.

  3. Any university or college that gives in to these imbeciles deserves to be shut down. The protests and protesters should be ignored. If they get violent, charge them with the appropriate crime and kick them out of the school.

  4. 90% she’s okay with. But 100% is “socialism”.
She and the millions like her aren’t dumb. They are tragically mal-informed.

  5. Tragically sucked-in and therefore stupid beyond immediate help. Hopefully, with the benefit of “life experience” they will “get it”. That said, I’m not holding my breath and will probably have drawn my last one if and when they do.

  6. Don’t think there’s a hell of a lot of difference anymore, Nicola.
Even my wife shakes her head in disbelief when CTV does a “Man on the street” interview with urban males these days. “But listen to them, they’re just like girls!”

  7. Nicola, I pity Keely, I truly do. Someday years from now, she’s going to see or recall this interview and what she said. If she’s like the rest of us, paying taxes and trying to find ways to make ends meet, she will be struck by just how utterly stupid was everything she said. Worse, if such an awareness never occurs to her, then she really will be as stupid then as she seems now.
It’s not really stupidity, though the trend you note for both males and females is accurate. This is the consequence of the systematic protection of children far into their 20s. Compared to 80 years ago or so, we protect children and their special protective world long past adolescence. And so they remain children, and childlike in their understanding, like stereotypical teenagers who confuse credit cards with money. That’s what Keely is, and thousands like her, infants who have never had to grow up.

  8. Watched the whole pathetic display. We’re screwed….
…as are they when they venture into the real world.
Penn State> right idea, wrong cause.

  9. Apparently these students aren’t interested in their studies. Either they attend and focus on learning, or they should be given the boot. Let serious scholars take their places.

  10. She continually falls back to the SJW talking points:
    …want a more equitable and fair society…
    …corporate model …(bad)
…1% doing nothing to contribute to society…
…1% need to be more accountable…
    And
    USA is bastion of capitalism…(bad)
She has no idea how the world turns.

  11. The kids are told in public school that they must teach their PARENTS. (About climate change and how to save the world, etc.) It’s no wonder these kids feel superior and entitled. Our school systems are creating monsters.

  12. That is the way to do it.
Ask who is paying for their ideas.
Then ask how much they are prepared to pay themselves.
And don’t let them get away without answering.

  13. Sam — I quite agree with you. Not all young people are “like that”. I’ve met quite few of you “yoots” that have really impressed me with having a their heads screwed on the right way. Definitely more sensible than I was.
Unfortunately, it’s the ones like you I really feel bad for. Me? I’ll be grinning at the pine lid a long time before you — so my exposure to the cretins will be cut mercifully short. You, on the other hand, will enjoy a lifetime of dealing with the imbeciles. And the sad fact is that even if your kind had numerical advantage over the idiots, the nature of human stupidity has become so exquisitely refined these days, it’s like fighting off self-replicating super-robots. Except, really stupid robots. They have learned to leverage their stupidity, and the stupidity has become self-aware. The idiots have won. Govern yourself accordingly.

  14. Total student debt is at about 1 trillion in the US.
Let’s just say the government somehow, in some way, finds a trillion kicking about to pay off that debt (Obama can always print the money, something he loves doing). What will be the return on that investment?
How much of that debt is held by students who have taken useless subjects with no value to society? How much of that debt is held by students who probably don’t even merit earning a university degree?
The truth is most of that student debt is junk. It has no intrinsic value. It is no different than 3rd world debt. Ask yourself, what is the value of that debt to the citizens of the United States? Pennies on the dollar, perhaps?
It’s another fine mess brought to you by the left.

  15. I bet daddy called her “princess” and she’s never seen a paycheck deduction yet.
Pffffttt the magical 1% – the fact this dolt can be accepted in university is the reason the university system is now redundant.

  16. Justin Trudeau thinks exactly like this girl.
In fact I would say she has a greater grasp of economics then Justin

  17. Justin Trudeau thinks exactly like this girl.
In fact I would say she has a greater grasp of economics then Justin
    And she is utterly clueless

  18. cgh – I have to disagree with you. If she never leaves school or the comforting arms of government then she doesn’t ever have to learn. She can go from being a student to being a teacher or government worker and never experience the free market. If so, her thoughts on the interview, when seeing it, could probably be more closely related to how elitist / racist / sexist / speciesist / oppressive / mean-spirited / capitalist…. the list goes on and on, new terms added daily…. he is. And she’ll think that if she had only attached the right label to him then his entire argument would have fallen apart. Because she cares, and he doesn’t. That makes him evil, so she should have called him a Nazi just to show how evil he was.
Time can make her older and more shrill, it can’t make her grow up. Only exposure to the real world can do that.
Sam – note that: beauty can be skin deep, but ugly goes to the bone. Maintain high standards about who you spend your time with and you’ll do just fine.

  19. The follow-up question would be this: “How will you and your fellow students ensure that there’s always going to be money?”
I’m hoping to rip the velvet glove off of their iron fist.

  20. Justin Trudeau thinks exactly like this girl.

  21. Welcome Sam. It is a pleasure to meet you here.
Many great comments above that nail it.
It is the Marxist infiltrated educational system and which is mostly taken over by them that is teaching students this communist nonsense. Most of you know of me mentioning the communists my friend and step-brother met in teacher training in the late 1950s. Remember, they work 24/7 to implement their ideology while the rest of us work to raise our families, have a beer, watch a game, run a model train, and once every four elect some honest, mostly self-serving politicians, etc.
You just met the face of what a Komsomnol member was and now know how through lies and falsehoods like this that the Bolos were able to take over and rule Russia for seventy years.

  22. Let us see now,
Do you remember a few years ago, the Quebec children went on strike because the socialists in power figured that they need to raise tuition fees on the lowest tuitions in this country?
Rutherford, at the time interviewed a professor from over there in another part of the world…..Quebec.
The professor said exactly the same thing as this poor wench.
The young woman got the idea from her teachers.
Yeah, the world is going from bad to worse and socialists are laughing as thou it’s going to paradise.
Yes it is, the socialist paradise.
That is the end of the road for this particular civilisation.
Then the whole circular journey will start all over again.
Think of a snake that begins feeding……..on its tail.

  23. Take Hillary Clinton for example, she’d never pay 90% taxes but this college girl Keely would vote for Hillary. Not only would HRC not pay 90% taxes, she and Bill are probably hiding 99% of their income in “Charitable Foundations” which are tax free.
Keely doesn’t even suspect what she doesn’t know, her brain is pickled with fallacious notions of social justice.

  24. Yes, yes, we will take all the money. It’s just a starting point.
Scary stupid. And there is more than a million of them.

  25. If this is the brains/spokesman behind the protest, just think of the other 999,999.
Lets hope she is in the 1% crowd of dimwits.

  26. Liberals Arts students are taught that all virtue comes from the (coercive) state and that despite their obvious innumeracy, their warn-out narratives qualify them to rule the planet. Free stuff isn’t even original, it’s simply an extension of the welfare state dragging western civilization back into serfdom.

  27. Dennis Moore, Dennis Moore
Monty Python’s Dennis Moore sketch captured the sentiment just right — after taking everything the rich had and giving it to the poor, the poor were now rich and the rich were now poor:
    Riding through the land
    Dennis Moore, Dennis Moore
    Without a merry band
He steals from the poor. And gives to the rich
    Stupid bitch.
(Dennis Moore reins to sudden halt and looks over to camera.)
    Moore: What did you sing?
Singers: (speaking) We sang… he steals from the poor and gives to the rich.
Moore: Wait a tic… blimey, this redistribution of wealth is trickier than I thought.

  28. Saw a comment on another forum that the universities have now become madrassas. And I guess the profs are imams. Total brainwashing for Marxism.
By the way the student organizations were protesting in Montreal again recently but against the ‘austerity’ proposed by the Liberal provincial government in not giving in to union demands.

  29. Mega Yachts: http://abcnews.go.com/Travel/story?id=7860870&page=1
Don’t be too quick to dismiss the idea that “the wealthy should pay more.” And don’t think they are all “Oil Princes” from Saudi Arabia.
Sure, it’s only #7 but the “Rising Sun” at 454 feet long (~138 meters):
“This yacht is jointly owned by the head of the Oracle Corp., Larry Ellison, and record executive David Geffen.
In the past year, the yacht toured such locations as Venice, the Greek islands, Croatia, Slovenia and the Virgin Islands.
It reportedly features 82 rooms on five stories, a sauna, gym, basketball court and wine cellar and even has its own fan Web site.”
Bill Gates, Carlos Slim, Larry Ellison, Donald Trump, etc, etc, etc hold BILLIONS upon BILLIONS of dollars in assets and cash. Sure, they have their charities and endowments and such but that doesn’t change a thing. They give some money away but they still have BILLIONS.
Well, at least enough to buy a mega yacht. I don’t begrudge them their wealth and toys but perhaps, just perhaps, they should do more for the common good. I mean really, if $10,000 a DAY is pocket change………

  30. 1% of the US is 3.3 million. That’s $300,000 each. Should be a snatch. I’m sure Buffet and Obama, Al Sharpton and the Reverand Wright, among others, are just lining up.

  31. I am amazed how many new cabinet ministers are suddenly off on long foreign vacations … er, attending important international events. On the other hand, while they are away, they cannot actually do any damage, just talk about doing damage.

  32. David in Michigan…”I don’t begrudge them their wealth and toys but perhaps, just perhaps, they should do more for the common good…”
Meaning what? You’ll decide what they should pay, who they should give their money too? Maybe you think there is a gov’t body that can make that decision for them?
Your suggestion, although cloaked in a better wording, is no different than our deranged student leader’s above.
