    This is innocently funny. Just watch how his head moves when asked if he was married.
    You may remember Gonzales Gonzales from John Wayne movies. He provided comedy in Rio Bravo, Hell-fighters, and several other Wayne movies.
    This video shows where he got his start. He innocently appeared as a contestant on ‘You Bet Your Life’ with Groucho Marx.
    As the questioning continued, it got funnier and funnier. Groucho took advantage of the situation based upon audience laughter.
    John Wayne happened to be watching the show and contacted him after the event. John Wayne insisted he play himself in the movies. Gonzales became a popular character in John Wayne movies.

  3. There is a Canadian connection to “I Vow to Thee, My Country” which was originally a poem written by Sir Cecil Spring Rice in 1908 and set to music by Holst in the 1920s.
    Rice was a career diplomat and British Ambassador to Washington during WWI. He was recalled to London in February 1918 but died in Ottawa where he is buried in Beechwood Cemetery.

  12. Not to make light of military suicides, but taking orders from the poofter that we just elected will not help the situation.
    It takes a different mindset to join the Armed Forces. Most will not be pulling the trigger, but they all know that they are assisting the ones who do.
    Harjit Sajjan may turn out to be one of Trudeau’s best cabinet choices, but if JT rules (and over-rules) from somewhere over the rainbow, it will cause much grief and doubt.
    The military are not social justice warriors. They did not sign on for that.
    They are now being pulled from bombing the scourge known as ISIS and may very well end up ferrying and housing ‘refugees’ that include the enemy.
    This cannot be gratifying to most.

  19. Should we start to worry how the Liberals will handle the “refugees” from Syria? At this point who among the media are seeking/demanding answers from them? There seems to be a lot of confusion among the Liberals as to the details of bringing the 25,000 here by Christmas as promised by their leader. We won’t even consider the fact it’s the snow and cold season, tents are not an option.
    It’s a good exercise for their brains, they seemed to know all the answers during the campaign but something seemed to “change” after the election, something called reality set in.

  23. So perhaps there is no bar too low for Liberals. It’s bad enough to have the newly minted PM who promised to bring home our jets fighting ISIS where they breed and foster terrorism,but then adding insult to injury was to watch as he shook the hands of older vets who fought for the freedoms we all enjoy in this country.
    Do we really know who is calling the shots in the LPC? If it’s not an elected member of the party in power does that mean we have a puppet regime?

    While those dreamy eyed girls giggle and look into the eyes of the dear Shiny One, they have no idea what is going on behind the scenes.

  27. No need to fight the terrorists in Syria; just bring them here. If even .1% engage in sedition &/or terrorism, that’s 25 committed terrorist on our soil from 25,000 landed. Cue for fear mongering and pictures of Europeans emigrating to Canada. Do you think Germans, if there were any, were screened more carefully?

  28. Justin and Sophie will be heading to London to visit the Queen later this month. It would be fun to know Her Majesty’s thoughts after meeting these two “kids”. She might might wonder if she’s losing it, it can’t be a reality, conversely she might think the people of Canada have lost it.
