  2. The entire nation did this. They won seats in every single province and swept the territories, too. Of course my neck of the country went complete Libtard. Never saw it coming.
    We are firmly in the political wilderness. Liberals will not hear one single word we have to say while Trudeau is in power. The media will not hear us. The citizenry will not hear us. Our beliefs will be mocked, ridiculed, scorned, ignored, at every turn. We will be told, once again, as we were under previous Liberal regimes, that Liberals know what is best for us, and we’re un-Canadian even to disagree with them. The media will of course carry Trudeau’s water for him at every turn. CBC will be even more unwatchable while the Pony reigns.
    I think “enjoy the decline” is the only sane response to this. Because the decline is surely about to begin with full speed now.

  4. I checked out overseas job opportunities as a hedge. At some point I’ll need currency with a real value to fund my retirement, something which will buy devalued/hyperinflated Canadian pesos making me the richest guy on the block back here. Vietnam is looking good since they gave socialism the boot twenty years ago. I have no particular desire to leave Canada regardless of whatever persuasion the governing party may be. I just want to make sure I have the hard currency to pay someone else to queue up for the toilet paper.

  8. For those of us who believe in small govt., low taxes, individual liberty and personal responsibility this result is just not understandable. But it is part of a pattern, consider Obama elected twice. If Trump is sidelined by the republican donor class then we get Hilary, Biden or Sanders. Cameron is quite likely to be succeeded by Corbyn, who, if anything, is an even bigger twit than Trudeau! We have to face it, there is a majority who are eager to crawl back into the womb, and the govt. created womb is close enough, govt. will provide, govt. will confront the demons, govt. will be the adult in our own heads!

    I am preparing for wonton plunder of the productive and government oppression of opposition of this regime – I hope for the best but am preparing to no longer be a producer and feed this monster.
    – IF what has been promised comes to pass, I will be seeking early retirement or an unpaid sabbatical and go off stream as a tax payer (Atlas Shrugged scenario).

    However, now that conservatism is dead in Canada….. it ain’t coming back folks … get used to socialist stupidity and decline a la Cappy.
    We have decided to all go GALT as best we can … no volunteering, no working above board, no charitable donations. AND we will all apply for every dollar of other people’s money and everything free we can suck out of the now crowded government trough.
    WE ARE SICK OF PAYING THE FREIGHT FOR HALF OF THIS COUNTRY WHO VOTE LIBERAL.
    I recommend you all do the same. Why make it easy for these bastards. You know what they are going to do to us and out country.

  28. Every cloud has a silver lining, albeit a very thin one. The NDP were relegated to third party status where they belong. Olivia Chow and Pat Martin, perennial trough-feeders, were turfed. Elizabeth May’s seats were cut in half and 10 of Saskatchewan’s 14 seats went resoundingly Conservative. 2 of the 3 NDP wins in Saskatchewan were entirely due to redrawing constituency boundaries but that was expected. Our guy here in Saskatoon West put up an admirable fight despite overwhelming odds and in Regina Lewvan, the Conservative candidate lost by a mere 143 votes. These two ridings were considered to be NDP shoo-ins after the boundaries were changed. Harper should have left the boundaries alone. I know, I know … he had nothing to do with it but seeing that it’s trendy to blame him for everything, let’s give it a whirl.

We send our kids to public schools to be intellectually abused. We are exposed to them every time you go to a theatre, watch TV, read a newspaper, listen to the radio, seek health care, visit the town hall, get a building permit, start a business, encounter rent seekers, go shopping. Harper, for all the political effort of building Reform-Alliance and CPC only managed to finesse a majority due to PQ swinging NDP once – that was the anomaly! Culture trumps politics. You want to change politics, change the culture.
    The Spawn will have to keep the host alive, that’s reality. No matter how much Jerry Butts designs policy to reflect his green theocracy, Canada is a nation of high increasing parasitic demand through entitlements. The only net source of revenue is primary industry – the kind Jerry doesn’t like. They have a huge problem ahead of them. Think Ontario without any Alberta or now, only Saskatchewan to pay the bills.

    I think certain elements with an enormous amount of money & muscle made those decisions for them…all to downgrade and eventually shut down our Oil Sands. We are major competitors and with the 3rd largest reserves of recoverable oil, no military to speak of, a normally compliant electorate……a perfect target.

    The true power is held by the 1 percent, these politicians are just here, to amuse the masses. As we sit here and argue about bobbles, they run away with the money. Understand that this Fiat based economic system cannot last, nor will it ever be fixed. With a balanced budget, we are only going further in debt to the tune of $2739726.03 every single day. It can never ever be paid off, its mathematically impossible. We live in a world of fantasy and time is running out.
