I was not going to tune in as refuse to watch/support cbc, ctv, global or cpac, but now that it is on theRebel.media I will give it a go. Hopefully it won’t be a 4 on one, with the over the top bias displayed by Paul Wells in the first debate.
My guess Is the Shiney pony will get a flogging but their will be a sympathy backlash as one shouldn’t be mean to a 44 year old part time snowboard teacher or substitute drama teacher with all the worldly experience dada could provide
HDS appears to be running at 11 or 12 out of 10 amongst many of my Canadian FB friends. When you point out to them that their rhetoric hints that Harper is worse than Hitler, they absolutely deny it.
So, in the spring of 2012 Mulcair was blaming Harper for the Canadian economy suffering from “Dutch Disease” ie: a high dollar negatively effecting manufacturing. Anyone want to place a bet on him blaming Harper for a 75 cent dollar tonight?
As a primer, you can see a chart showing the last 40 years of Surplus/Deficit in 2015 dollars on my blog here in the post Canada’s Debt, A Liberal Legacy: http://heinzegroup.com/insight.htm#13
It also shows who was in power over the period.
Does anyone know the official over/under on how many times Justin says ” middle-class ” ?
I’m thinking it will be about 32.
” Grow the economy ” should come in around 25.
At the present, the commentators appear to be anti-Conservatives … no surprise here.
Is this a leaders debate? Or are we going to listen to what somebody thinks the leaders will say?
Fifteen minutes in and no leaders in sight – these talking heads are boring me!
Note to old hag Taber – Stephen Harper is still Prime Minister.
Another dumb remark by Justine.
What you say, the debate hasn’t started yet. Oh. Just wait.
Shiny Pony is really knocking it out of the park! Not.
What a freaking moron!
The drama teacher sez that he would raise taxes on the 1 percenters.
Does anybody know, even a wild guess, how many one procenters are there?
Does anybody know how much taxes would the Liberals raise by taxing their favored tax target?
This is nothing but demagogue propaganda.
One wonders how many people recognize that.
How many people heard what Harper correctly said about carbon taxes.
Has nothing to do with carbon and everything to do with taxes.
The drama teached and the lawyer are lying on constant bases, they are not called out on that.
They are full of hot air, not called out on that.
What the hell.
Either shoot the moderator or give him a kill switch for the mics. Mulcair overtalking and constantly interrupting.
Not very impressive production.
Trudeau seems excited, agitated and huffy puffy (although the hand gestures could be eliminated).
Harper comes across as in control and knowledgeable (although the hand gestures could be eliminated).
Mulcair likes interrupting and is trying to portray Trudeau as reckless and Harper as heartless (although the hand gestures could be eliminated).
Does anyone know where this hypothetical ‘infrastructure’ bank will get their funding ?
Exactly, particularly Mulcair. Shiny Pony is just spouting nonsense.
It has been on for less than an hour and I can’t take it anymore. The only one who makes sense in Harper, I just want to slap the other two upside the head. Trudeau have boned up on the words he is spouting, but he doesn’t actually know what they mean. Mulcair is is riding a Unicorn.
Talking about the emigration. How many europeans are allowed to this country as compared to the members of ISIS and other such diversified crowd.
So we’ve learned that the lesser of 2 Trudeaus is a lightweight airhead. Quel surprise! I hope someone pokes Tommy the Commie hard enough to make him show his true colours – the kid has come close a couple of times.
I got tired of Mulcair interrupting with his lies.
I’m done.
Pouring a third bourbon.
This one’s a double.
Justin just said we don’t have enough data on the Chinese laundering their money in Vancouver real estate due to the elimination of the long form census
Don’t give up. You need to know what the two knockle heads spew to explain to the neighborhood.
A highly public and redistributed fact check should be created over Mulcair’s and Shiny Pony’s lies and falsehoods.
Fact check these shout over asshats.
Memo to Globe and Mail: You’re putting on a terrible debate. Talk over and mic control vastly needed.
Okay I have been not watching it for about a half hour now and I am starting to feel less embarrassed. What a gong show. A dilettante, a Commie and a capitalist. Nothing in common just like the left and right has become all over the western world. We are at a crossroads.
Don’t all quit watching!
This is the only way I’m getting updates.
Nerves can’t take watching it live.
Child care? The socialist agenda cradle to grave government intrusion.
“Eight years later, when your two year old is in Kindergarten”
Justin, math genius and teacher
Mulcair’s microphone seems to be set louder than the other two.
What the hell is a “fair share”
Seems like throw away into the out phrase that supposed to work on the LIV’s, which may be a good strategy, though deceiving and bombastic
Mulcair: How do you renovate a house you can’t afford in the first place.
Easy. Re-mortgage. Done it eleven times myself.
Well, they do not have Lizzie May there today to interrupt the other leaders, but Shiny Pony is doing his best locker room performance in that regard.
Both Mulcair and Trudeau will ” ASK” the wealthiest 1% to pay more ?
Rubbish, asking means that they can refuse.
The ‘occupy’ parasites have a difficult choice to make.
if breathlessly blathering rehearsed talking points was the determining factor in who is winning this “debate” than the shiny Turdo would be winning hands down. Don’t think I’ve ever witnessed someone so breathless while saying nothing.
Lemme tell you about flood mitigation.
This is a completely useless enterprise, this Mitigation thing.
It is one hundred percent political enterprise.
When a flood comes, it will flood, mark these words, it will flood.
The only chance of doing something about a flood is dredge, which is not in the plan, build dikes, not in the plans.
So far thsy raised the pathway along the Bow river about a half a foot. Completely useless work to prevent flood.
Are you kidding me?
I can’t watch this nonsense. Mulcair constantly interrupting with his out of context bleating about “400,000 lost manufacturing jobs.” He means union jobs folks. I guess he was at a socialist convention when the news of the service economy and technology did that, not Harper, who has grown the job market (but they would do it “more”).
He reveals his big union agenda with his national day care plan, where “15% of wealthiest Canadians” are entitled to his largesse, at over $8000 per spot taxpayer subsidy, presumably paid by lower income Canadians, including seniors, since the “rich” apparently don’t pay taxes, but not tax cuts or income splitting for even some of them.
No wonder he’s interrupting; neither he nor Trudeau has said a single substantive thing, just emotive nonsense.
Which is, of course, their game plan. Appeal to emotion – not reason, not common sense and certainly not to actual numbers beyond “infrastructure banks” and removing (nearly non-existent) tax “loopholes” and no new revenues for the NDP cap and & trade, except for recovering “subsidies,” which are actually carbon taxes not levied, sorry “internalized costs” aka carbon tax, aka one of many tax grabs.
The moderator is a complete disaster who makes Paul Wells and the idiots at the “consortium” look competent. Then again, that’s what the progressives want, a non-factual debate for low information voters. Then they can attack Harper, who is apparently to blame for Pierre Trudeau debt explosion, then accusing him of “negativity” when he corrects their BS.
OTOH Mulcair seems desperate; his interrupting won’t help him. He was the big loser at the last debate and he is repeating that performance tonight. BTW, the “scientific” polls are giving random results right now, with differences in polling and many with the margin of error greater than the difference between first and third place. IOW invalid. The “non-scientific” straw polls from the news organizations have Harper winning the debates and the election.
We will see on Oct 19th. It is time to expose Mulcair for the duplicitous twit he actually is, with his stealth taxation plans, ludicrous claims of being a Thatcher moderate (she was never a moderate and he was never a Thatcherite), and his party brain trust plan to “transform capitalism” – into socialism.
Trudeau is not even worthy of comment; he should send Liz May for the next debate; he sounds like a high school debater or some beauty queen contestant wishing for world peace. What is his and Mulcair’s action plan beyond spending more, taxing more, borrowing more, and more government?
I chose the Jays game. Tried watching the debate for one commercial break…
I definitely made the right choice.
Exactly. I’m sure taxing the 1% will provide the tens of billions to pay for the unicorn farts and pixie dust
If we are shifting to a totally Knowledge Based economy then I am going out to sit in my knowledge to have dinner. Then will drive my knowledge to the grocery store, while heating my home with my knowledge.
The world has always been changing and always will, but we still need the basics.
The socialist believes he can spend and spend and spend, though he wraps it up in all kind of nonsese that mean absolutely nothing.
Growing under communists, this was their operational mode. Talk a lot, if it does not mean anything, don`t worry the masses stupid enough to eat it all up.
Trudear: We don’t need a balanced budget…cuts to Veterans Affairs, Aboriginal Affairs, to seniors, in the billions of dollars so that he could balance the books in time for his election.”
Mulcair: Ottawa divisive and meaner…ie Harper
Harper: Economy is fragile, need careful and steady hand…
-liked Harper’s rebuttal of Trudeau where spending increased in Veterans Affairs,
The report showed spending increased for Aboriginal Affairs by $2 billion, to $8.78 billion from $6.794 billion the year before.
Spending increased for Veterans Affairs by $121 million, up to $1.018 billion from $897 million in the 2013-2014 fiscal year.
Spending for elderly benefits increased as well, to a total of $2.3 billion, up 5.5 per cent.
The $1.9 billion surplus certainly came as good news for Harper, breaking a painful streak of six-straight years in the red.
Won’t likely change any partisan minds, but Harper looked steady and believable on the economic record.
Cheers

Harper killed it. Junior and the Beard left scrapping amongst each other for most of the night. Harper content to sit back, smile, and let them go at it.
I’ll give Mulcair a distant second and Trudeau was just rambling… way out of his depth.
Al smiles tonight.
So after suffering through the debate, I really think I got it right with the post “Canada’s Debt, A Liberal legacy.” http://heinzegroup.com/insight.htm#13
Both opposition leaders want to create new programs, meaning expanded/new bureaucracy’s and ultimately a structural deficit.
Where have I seen that before, the initials PET come to mind.
Saskatchewan manufacturing has set records for exports under Harper while Ontario lost hundreds of thousands of jobs in manufacturing.
Funny how that works.
That was painful to watch.
They should be drug-tested.
One has likely indulged in stimulants.
Thank God there was another Blue Jays victory on TV tonight, as well as an NFL football game (tied 14 all at halftime).
I’ve had the NFL game on mute while listening to this debate for the past 15 minutes, and frankly I’m ready to stick long knitting needles deep into my eardrums to MAKE IT STOP!!! Seriously, this level of stupidity from Turdeau and Mulcair may actually be contagious, so turn it off, TURN IT OFF before you get brain damage!!!
I was not going to tune in as refuse to watch/support cbc, ctv, global or cpac, but now that it is on theRebel.media I will give it a go. Hopefully it won’t be a 4 on one, with the over the top bias displayed by Paul Wells in the first debate.
