Tonight we have a special treat courtesy of John Robson & Brigitte Pellerin. Their long awaited Magna Carta documentary is now live for the world to see:

Several SDA regulars personally contributed to the making of this film, so it is quite fitting to be present here.
Your current and historical tips are most welcome, as always.

Romeo Dallaire proposes to bring 90,000 Syrian refugees to Canada.
Come now Monsieur Dallaire!! Make it 100,000! You’re a Liberal and a supporter of Metrics!!
Even numbers work best!! Or do they??
I do understand Mr. Dallaire’s reasoning! I hear that certain refugees (aka polygamists) are allowed to be accompanied by all of their wives and their children!! (Seriously–that is true) So if you have 10,000 men who have three wives each, and each wife has kids, 90,000 might work out too.
Ah but wait a moment!! When they arrive in Canada, the wives don’t have to share the same apartment or lodging, so they are entitled to their own separate flats. Do you see now where the expenses start to mount!
You don’t believe me!! Enjoy the article!! And I did verify this by talking to a family member who is quite familiar with this problem!!

It’s bad, even by CBC standards.
Peter interviews a modern Canadian family.

All that was missing was Jabba the Hutt.

  4. When all else fails, have Athea Raj write a hate-filled, drive-by smear:

Last I checked, the office currently occupied by Mr. Harper is pretty much an equal-opportunity position. Course, if you’re not any good at it, you’re not going to either: a) get there, or b) stay there for long.
Mr. Chretien has probably done better than Mr. Harper, but then again, he might have been more lucky than smart. And where, again, is that missing $40 million (nothing implied; just looking for that elusive answer)?

I note that the Tories are back in the lead in the Nanos tracking poll, principally due to their sudden and stark uptick that began just after Labour Day in British Columbia. I note that Fin Donnelly is from British Columbia, which is where the sister of Muhammed and Abdullah also resides (the brothers are sometimes, or always, confused by Mr. Donnelly).
    Coincidence?

  10. The video reveals a very sinister agenda. Do Canadians get what is happening to them? I think not. The demise of Abbot is a bad omen for sure. Go ahead, Canada — serve yourself up to the globalist agenda. That is what is being planned for. Make no mistake, NDP and Libs are both onside.

  13. Canada is done, stick a fork in it. In the 1970’s women in Kabul, Islamabad, Cairo, Tehran or Baghdad never wore a hijab or niqab. Since then the Wahhabi sect in Saudi Arabia has tightened rules surrounding women’s garb as has Iran as islam moves backward to the 7th century. Women now must adhere to strict rules and must wear a hijab at least. In ISIS territory or Afghanistan they wear a niqab with 3 screens so you can not see their eyes or they are brutally killed. As we see in Europe the West is bowing down to islam as our “leaders” flood our countries with muslims. Why are not women’s groups in Canada vehemently protesting this insane action by the court of appeal?
A women wearing this niqab, which is not required in islam, at our ceremony of citizenship is an insult to all of us. She is making a political statement saying I am different, separate and refuse to belong to Canadian society, I choose to belong to an islamic ghettoe. I am unemployable and am a muslim just living off of Canada and will assist islam to make Canada part of the dar al-islam under sharia law.

Four in ten (38%) Canadians believe that Stephen Harper and the Conservatives would ‘make the best decision for Canada on the Syrian refugee situation’, placing the Tories significantly ahead of the one in three who believe that Thomas Mulcair and the NDP (32%) or Justin Trudeau and the Liberals (30%) would be best to manage this file. Interestingly, even two in ten Liberal (18%) and NDP (15%) voters believe that the Conservatives would make the best decision for Canada.
The decision about how many refugees Canada should take in and through what process has largely been centered on the idea of security and whether the process of accepting refugees should be fast-tracked despite security concerns. On this debate, seven in ten (71%) voters more closely believe that ‘we can’t compromise Canada’s security, and individual Syrian refugees should go through proper screening to make sure they aren’t terrorists even if this slows down their admission to Canada’, including a majority of Tory (87%), Liberal (66%) and NDP voters (61%).

  17. She is also placing her “religion” (in quotes because niqab is not really required by the Koran) above Canada. I think that is o.k. if someone is truly religious, but Canada is a secular society and if you cannot accept that, then do not become a citizen. This woman and her niqab are an insult to our country. Obscure Muslim practices have been allowed to trump our own secular values.

  18. The subheader reads, in part: “In the name of emotional well-being, college students are increasingly demanding protection from words and ideas they don’t like.”
I don’t think the students are demanding it so much as their professors are demanding they do so.
It’s the infantilization of higher education, which is already bringing the public’s contempt upon itself.
