Mulcaring: “Here’s some money, you ignorant old rednecks.”

Now is the time at SDA when we juxtapose!
Toronto Star, September 13th: Thomas Mulcair promised the NDP, if elected, would spend $1.8 billion over four years on Canada’s seniors.
Grande Prairie-McKenzie NDP Facebook Page, September 14th: “…some folks in the Peace will forever be trapped in the ignorance of their parents and grandparents and they actually think they are thinking for themselves … Folks have been afraid to speak up against ignorant rednecks for far too long up here.”

  1. It’s ok now.
The NDP campaign in Grande Prairie-McKenzie has deleted a posting on its Facebook page that bashed the mindset of some people in the Peace. The posting said, quote,” some folks in the Peace will forever be trapped in the ignorance of their parents and grandparents and they actually think they are thinking for themselves”, end quote. It goes on with a call to “feel sorry” for these people and that, quote, “Folks have been afraid to speak up against ignorant rednecks for far too long up here”. The author is not known. A screen grab of the posting is shown above.
They deleted the post so it never really happened. The ignorant folks of Peace don’t need to pay attention, just vote for the Bearded C–m.

  2. To be fair, they’re not sure who authored the Grande Prairie bit. It wasn’t necessarily the candidate but likely a typical NDP supporter.

  3. Nothing new here; the NDP has had nothing but scorn for their constituents for at least the past 40 years. Unfortunately, their constituents have never figured it out. Which might mean that the NDP has a point.

  4. It’s much better to be trapped in the ignorance of 100 plus years of failed socialist policy and think you’re thinking for yourself.

  5. elitist commie piety and self righteous stagnant thinking on display here – also a massive toxic dose of intolerance and disrespect.
Had he said this type of Bolshi scatology in front of me I’d ask for an apology for slandering the greatest generation and if it wasn’t forthcoming I’d call him down for the sanctimonious drone he is.

  6. That shows what elitists think of ordinary folks…. they spit on them.
So I keep posting that I hope “Mortgage” Mulcair doesn’t lose it and stab somebody…..
But if he does, I hope the cameras are running.

  7. That’s right: belittle the thinking of the settlers who came in and opened up the Peace Country. They were given a grant of land and the chance to freeze or starve to death (fire was also a threat). But such sturdy independence is to be mocked today.

  8. Mulcair stated in VANCOUVER today, that Toronto was Canada’s most important city.
This guy has no clue what the west is and that we have sensibilities, pride and more of future than the rats in the east who have totally soiled their nest. Unimportant redneck region should vote for the CPC … I believe Harper is looking out of us better than the twats of the left ever will.

  9. I love how lefties demonstrate how cutting edge they are by never passing up a chance to quote/evoke songs from fifty odd years ago.

  10. I note from the results of the 2011 election in Grande Prairie-McKenzie that the Conservative candidate spanked the combined opposition and captured over 76% of the votes. Even the rocket surgeons over at VoteTogether have made the decision not to even meddle in this constituency. So I guess that whatever the NDP have to say, no matter how repugnant, it will have no effect whatsoever in this riding.
I can’t help thinking however that if such a stupid comment appeared on a Conservative’s Facebook page, the sh*tstorm stirred up by the media would be monumental.

  11. “Bolshi scatology” – that’s a great description!
It is obviously beyond the commie-indoctrinated comprehension of any dipper that, to a lot of folk around here, “Redneck” is a COMPLIMENT!

  12. Likely the rantings of an “enlightened” grad in liberal arts who lapped-up all the watermelon progressive pablum that he was spoon-fed by the professoriate. Classic looters and thugs in training.

  13. Ya! Stoopid libruls with there stoopid learnin’. That Pol Pot character might have been a commie with weird PJs, but he sure got it right with what he did with them interlektules in that country.

  14. That facebook tirade was pulled @3:30 today. He said that he always thought people in Grande Prairie had a liberal attitude and were never known to be right wing. Since right wing is associated with people that want less government I can only wonder how anyone in the NDP can even understand that concept. The peace country is very right wing and consistently votes conservative. The NDP have never held a seat here. That’s a Edmonton thing.

  15. What’s ironic is that the “intellectual” Noam Chomsky, at one time the darling of progressives and liberals everywhere, supported Pol Pot long after his murderous deeds became common knowledge. Chomsky has lost some credibility among liberals since he clearly flipped his lid many years ago but many still revere and love him so.

  16. Rachel Notley’s commie dad was MLA from Spirit River-Fairview in the Peace country. He was one lonely commie.

  17. as a garden variety white middle aged man it is nice to know what the NDP thinks of me. I dare say Mr Mulcair…. Do You hear Banjos???

  18. The one thing we can be sure of is once the election is over, Mulcair wont give a damn about anything that happens in the West. His world is in Quebec and Ontario because that’s where the votes and his loyalty lie. Same goes for Trudeau the boy blunder. The West may get the odd bone tossed in this direction but if Harper loses then the feeling that we are one country will also be lost. Back to the days of Trudeau senior and the disdain he had for the West.
