You Western Canadian dogs.
Linda McQuaig, a star New Democratic Party candidate, says Alberta’s oilsands may need to remain undeveloped in order for Canada to meet its climate change targets.
Yes of course, “if we shut down Alberta’s oil markets the world will slow down it use of oil products” – NDP Think Tank.
Maybe our unemployed Albertan oilfield workers could buy their “clean” oil from Nigeria instead, yes? – lefty logic
I AM … Joe Molnar in Woodstock, Ontario and I have a plan for developing the ALBERTA OIL SANDS ( A CANADIAN NATURAL RESOURCE)
and I AM willing to provide PM HARPER that plan at Tim Hortons on Norwich AVENUE IN WOODSTOCK whenever he stops in there, prior to the Canadian General election …………!
And Linda McQuaig can …. F*%*…. OFF!
Removing oil from Alberta’s oil-sands does not affect Canada’s environmental goals.
Another country buying your oil might have Carbon gases from using your oil,
but not fracking/bringing it up from the ground..
–
Are these sons of bitches born stupid,
or do they get more stupid as they age?
That statement alone disqualifies her from office – it shows she has no connection or responsibility to her constituency. The needs of her riding (affordable energy to get through winter), her country (in need of oilsands development revenues and energy independence) and her fellow Canadians (Albertans in the oil patch whose livelihood will vanish).
In stead she takes the side of foreign globalist plunderers who are running a climate doomsday con to destroy western industrial might and with it the Canadian economy, so they can come in under cover of the IMF to buy up the bankrupt nation at 10 cents on the dollar and turn it into a feudal vassal of the global collective.
FXXK YOU Linda quagmire and your perfidious commie clowns!, the nation will NOT be turned into a post industrial commie hell hole at the whim of some demented commie frumps. This agenda should be kicked to the curb in no uncertain terms. If the commie dips
The heavy oil from Nigeria and Venezuela is not all that different from Alberta heavy oil. Jane Fonda could have stayed home to protest heavy oil. California only was overcome by Alberta in heavy oil production a decade or two ago. The only reason Alberta is a target is the apparent success by the socialist swine in land-locking our oil.
We get such interesting anomalies as oil flowing west into Ontario is fine but flowing east out of Ontario is an environmental disaster. While a rail crash fueled by crude oil killed 47 people in Quebec, the Anglo-haters in Quebec want to stop the pipeline from flowing east. Simply more of the usual hate we see out of Quebec from the likes of Trudeau and Mulcair.
The NDP swine in Alberta add to business uncertainty but not passing a budget until after the federal election so as not to scare potential Angry Tom supporters. Alberta’s economy is withering with business uncertain whether to invest in Alberta or South Sudan because of a government lack of direction. We don’t get to see that the NDP doubled the deficit from last year’s $4 billion to $8 billion. What’s going to be more surprising is when we see the actual results next spring and they come in at $10 billion.
Star candidate? This socialist twit? Surely you jest?
Nothing in this woman’s history indicate’s “star power”.
Unless of course you count writing drivel for a Toronto rag…
and writing a couple of books no-one ever read!
Maybe it is her illuminating briliance on how to invigorate our resources industry that makes her “star shine”…leftist media shill
No style and no substance…
Must be what passes for “star power” in the socialist wonderland.
The difference is once in awhile we kill a duck
Those places kill people
Never ascribe to Toronto, that which can be explained by stupidity. Alberta just elected the NDP. That is enough to keep the oil in the sand. No need to blame some lefty tart from Toronto. You only have yourselves to blame.
That someone so clearly ignorant of which they speak and lacking in abilities for productive action, other than selling printed bilge to the zombie-left, could potentially be put in the historically-proven impossible job of “running an economy”, explains why we are in accelerating decline. It’s bad enough that otherwise knowledgeable people continue attempting the impossible.
NDP
Nation.
Destroying.
Party.
thank you Joe
The Conservatives thank you Ms McQuaig. Star candidate indeed; count on many more gaffes like this from the NDP, especially its juvenile wing in Quebec. The truly fun part will be the CBC’s attempt to block use of McQuaig’s remarks & “clarification,” especially since one of their journalists just crushed her. BTW she’s a confirmed political airhead ridiculed everywhere except in the purview of left of left crackpots like Mel Hurtig, Maude Barlow & Ralph Surette. But, she is an NDP candidate, so all’s fair in love and war – and elections. BTW, I don’t think she just came up with this point of view by herself, in fact it’s the NDP’s dirty little secret. They’re not supposed to use their out loud voice on pipelines & oil sands.
A very bad week for the NDP: Mulcair gets poor reviews for his debate performance; now he wants to drive a wedge between Canadian voters with his equal time for french debates demand, with no apparent demand from Quebecers, reneging on previous agreements; now, Linda dear showing the reality of the NDP position on pipelines & Oil Sands – “well we’ll just have to see, you know, we’re not sure if the Canada East pipeline has been “properly reviewed,” aka stopped, so we may just have to leave jobs, I mean oil in the ground.
IOW, no friggin way the NDP will EVER, support, or allow if in government, the existing Canada East & other pipelines, or expansion of the Oil Sands. They’re trapped in an emotion driven ideological paralysis, and thanks to McQuaig have given the Tories the high ground on pipelines.
That’s why Mulcair doesn’t want any more debates. They must know he tanked the first one and now he’s hugely vulnerable on this and many other issues.
There is a specific amount of oil used everyday in the world. If Alberta was to shut off it’s tap, other tap in other parts of the world simply turn their taps up a bit to cover the shortage.
People like McQuaig have no understanding of economy and human nature. But then, socialism is the destroyer of economy and human nature … now isn’t it …. she is only acting within the boundaries of her own sick nature.
Well, given the results of Alberta’s last election, I’m not so sure there’ll be much opposition to her plan.
Is the very last sentence of the article written in jest? A couple of minutes of research indicates that the last time humans had a carbon free economy was about three-quarters of a million years ago. Then they figured out how to control fire. Is the G7 officially committed to taking us back to those days? Or is this article sending up a trial balloon?
T.S.Eliot was right.
McQuaig has that scary I’M A HEARTLESS ROBOTIC FEMALE EXEC AND I’M GOING TO CASTRATE YOU MEN FOR ALL THE TIMES YOU REJECTED ME look, doesn’t she? I’ve worked for a few like that. They make workplaces a living Hell with their batshit irrationality and arbitrary exercise of power.
“It’s The Crude, Dude”? Jesus wept, what a pathetic adolescent assclown…here Linda, a little synopsis for the hard of thinking:
http://www.frontpagemag.com/fpm/182499/war-oil-myth-arnold-ahlert
Long story short: Iraq provided 4.8% of the USA’s prewar oil imports. The vast majority of US oil imports do not come from the Middle East, but from Canada and Latin America, with even Africa outstripping ME imports. The USA supported the UN oil embargo against Iraq. Postwar, the People’s Republic of China is far and away the main beneficiary of Iraqi oil.
They lie, and lie, and they lie some more, and they expect us to take it because they have NO respect for any of us – least of all for the sock puppets who will end up voting for them.
From a “Have Notley province to Have Notley country” in on simple breath.
Ms McQuaig’s statement is appallingly naïve and stupid for a country with the need to get through the winter and huge transportation infrastructure lengths to travel from coast to coast.
The “Newly Defunct Party”…

The picture of the Linda: a model of arrogance and stupidity. And Trrna does not need the West – they think.
It is curious that at a certain size, there are enough parts to an economy that overall it can prosper even when miserably run. Think rat Obama’s America and Wynne’s Ontario.
“”the world simply turn their taps up a bit to cover the shortage” J
But you don’t understand that they understand, it is the Communist country of Venezuela that get to sell their OIL
Communism is a global Cobol that savages the local Industry for “Most Favored Communist Countries”
While it’s fun to pile on Alberta as the latest province to elect an NDP dystopian government, we all know that Alberta is the inverse of the national poll in terms of vague party support. In Alberta, 60% voted non-NDP whereas nationally, roughly 60% voted non-Conservative. Alberta’s problem is that the more centrist conservatives split with the centre-left Conservatives (splitting the adult vote). If the Spawn and Watermelon Priestess can’t pull enough votes away from the NDP, they (NDP) win. Conservatives should be boosting Lizzy and the Spawn’s leftist bona fides or fixing to pull a large chunk of centrist vote from the Liberals which means more centre-left movement at the risk of keeping the base at home on election day. Politics in a socialist country – ain’t it great. We’re fighting to keep a government that can only apply some brake to the backslide down the road to serfdom.
Linda doesn’t want us to clean up and remediate one of the world’s largest oil spills
caused by careless mother nature? Tsk,tsk. Do the Saudis have her on retainer?
I suppose further reading might answer my question but I don’t go to the CBC or listen to Dippers so I’ll ask here:
How does something that is already being developed remain undeveloped?
The one thing no one has mentioned about this is the NDP’s willingness to insert itself into provincial affairs. Resources belong to and are managed by the provinces. The supreme court has ruled on the separation question regarding majority criteria and the Senate abolishing/reform changes, and yet Mulcair says otherwise. All of these issues are provincial matters. WTF is going on here?
They are born stupid and they get stupider as they age.
To really refine and focus their stupidity, they go to university.
Oh yes shut down all oil and gas wells while these UN eletists and their Hollywood and Washington D.C. Backers fly all over the world in their leer and gulfstream jets are chaufred around in their gas guzzling 11 MPG Limos and use up countless kilowatt hours of eletricity and many thousand gallons of water while coming up with new regulations and treaties typical Do as i say not as i do liberal eletists and tyrants
Well, who do you think is actually running Alberta right now, now that we have an NDP “government”?

My God – so they had to IMPORT Dipper lifers from other provinces to fill the seats. In-effin-credible. I think I might go throw up my lunch now.
Glenn
What is the judicial penalty if the PM abolishes the SENATE?…
They can say he didn’t have that power, but they can’t remove the PM or order legislation reversed.. Just ignoring the advice of the Court is a political issue.
PM Harper could abolish the CBC tomorrow, the consequences would be an election issue.
Oh, forgot to mention: Graham Mitchell is the Executive Director for Lead Now, a lobbyist that actively promotes shutting down Alberta Oil Sands. He is now Chief of Staff to the Energy minister and still a registered lobbyist. Conflict of interest much?
Progressives are never concerned with their math illiteracy, inconsistencies, contradictions or outright hypocrisy. That would interfere with their emotional “analysis” which continually flips the problem with the solution – progressivism.
Yes the federal NDP is the guiding force behind the Notley administration. The Dippers can run (to AB apparently) but they can’t hide from Harper – he’s way more intelligent, cogent & cunning than they.
They continue to be surprised when he outflanks them politically, blaming him for their muddled message.
Every one of these “out of towners” commute once a week to their jobs, so Albertans are paying the freight for these carpet baggers on travel, meals and accommodation, plus their “entertainment” expenses.
All we got were new faces and a new letterhead and a bunch of political bench warmers being led around by these commies. Picture the likes of Black Bloc, the whole raft of anti, well anything, greenie, furball anarchy and you have a picture of what is now running Alberta.
I guess it’s high time we put an end to this BS called “transfer payments”! I wouldn’t want Linda and her urban, socialist, elitists friends, to loose any sleep at night due to the possibility any of the transfer money has been coming from crude oil or worse yet, the oil sands.
Hey, Mulcair, Trudeau and May, that’s where the extra money IS coming from, CRUDE OIL!
Hey Rach!
What say ye?
Hey angry Tom
What say ye?
The commies have had control of the education system for long enough that there are quite possibly enough people out there that buy her shit that the NDP form the next national government. Plan your life accordingly.
She has that perpetual leftie (my last orgasm was in high school I think) look, fugly and stupid, but a star at the Star and theCBC, meanwhile we picked up another 2 bald eagles at a windmill generator, thats choppin them like planned. Possibly Angry Tom can have this airhead over to his 11 times mortagaged house and show her an angry time and take that pained look off her face.
Carpetbaggers every one. My biggest problem now, as an Albertan, is seeking refuge – somewhere – from the socialists.
Linda McQuaig looks way butch. Anyone know the provenance of her privates? Did she start out batting for the other team?
“The NDP swine in Alberta add to business uncertainty but not passing a budget until after the federal election so as not to scare potential Angry Tom supporters. Alberta’s economy is withering with business uncertain whether to invest in Alberta or South Sudan because of a government lack of direction.”
Scar, funny you should mention that. I am late to this thread as we were in Saskatoon all day. While in the Safeway at Lawson Heights Mall, I met a Business Development Manager for a private company who I have known for forty years. Among other things he talked about an oil drilling company that has moved its operations to Saskatchewan because of the uncertainty caused by the new government in Alberta.
Btw, all of the above.
Socialism destroys societies. History of eastern Europe. Cuba, Venezuela. Some like China and Vietnam have seen the light and are communist in name only.
Just maybe, designer hemp panties from the Saltspring Islands aren’t as comfortable as advertised.
You know, ‘gentlemen’ you can make a point without offering or suggesting the object of your scorn needs to get laid.
That’s a tactic of the left…and usually about my wife.
Who is left in this country to pay the bills? Alberta gas a $5 billion deficit which will likely get worse. DO they borrow so that thy can continue paying Equalization?
BC kicks in a bit and Sask a bit more. All the rest are takers.
Years ago ex-NDP Premier Dave Barrett ran for a Federal seat. One of his main platforms was ‘taxing’ the government share of RRSP’s ‘now’ as the government needed that money, now. Now there is perfect progressive, socialist, thought.
One is born ignorant, not stupid. Stupidity has to be LEARNED!
It is candidates like this that lead me to conclude that the upcoming election poses very little risk to Harper.
He’s the only sane man in the room.

“A lot of the oilsands oil may have to stay in the ground if we’re going to meet our climate change targets,” McQuaig said
Linda McQuaig Mulcair’s star candidate in Ontario, has revealed the agenda ( now no longer hidden) of the NDP in regards to our environment and resource development.
Simplisticly stating the obvious, that if we want less carbon produced from oil sands, the best way is to curb development of the oil sands and to leave it in the ground. What she neglects to say and does not understand, is that this measure does absolutely nothing to decrease carbon emisssions, simply because the shortfall of Canadian oil to meet Canada’s, as well as the worlds’ demand, by curtailing oil sands development will be replaced by Saudi oil, and a boon to the Saudi economy, with no change in carbon levels in the environment as a result.
What is for certain however, is that stopping oil sands development ( and any other resource development) the Canadian economy will be adversely affected by a serious loss of jobs which gives Canadians great concern of placing the Canadian economy in the hands of the NDP who speak out of both sides of their mouth.
Does the NDP even have a clue that resources will continue to be developed, where they exist in other countries, to meet the needs of the world, so while other country’s economy will flourish at the expense of Canada’s, if we follow the NDP lead, there will be little change in world carbon levels.
McQuaig and the NDP’s proposal may be sold to school children but Canadians with common sense, who are concerned with our economy and environment, will reject this juvenile proposal for the obvious failure and disaster it will result in.
If you want a genuine recession in this country, embrace the schemes and confused agenda of the NDP, and be prepared to join the lines of the unemployed.
I hate to rain on your parade small c, but many, many people are attracted to insanity. It’s very appealing, taking no responsibility for your actions. From the entertainment industry’s tidal wave of violence and degradation, to the courtrooms of our great land, to the entire edifice of leftism – insanity is attractive, and contagious.
I don’t expect the good guys to win this time out. The bad guys have been tireless in their propaganda campaigns, and the good guys have been much too gentle in their counteroffensive because they are justifiably terrified of how the mainstream media will spin it.
