  3. I think Carly is one sharp debater, likely the best at thinking on her feet and skewering media attack dogs. She would be great going against the evil Mrs. Clinton in a debate.
    The only problem with the business management approach to the presidency is that rather than striving for efficiency and successfully running bureaucracies, when it comes to the federal government most agencies should be abolished rather than made more effective.

  8. Carly is one smart cookie that shone in the debate. I disagree with you on the cutting of bureaucracies. That is something you do but never tell it to the electorate before an election. They tried it in Ontario and the Conservatives got their head handed to them.

    I think trump has done wonders – taking a flamethrower to the media and critics. It has opened up room for people like Carley to go after guys like Matthews. He has changed the paradigm of conservative/media relations.

    Look at Sarah Palin – every bit as smart and forceful as Carly, easier on the eyes and a formidable track record in politics. A hockey mom, running with a war hero for president … And they voted for an affirmative action flunky and a drunk! AND re-elected them!
    Only liberal women are allowed to rule because only they can be ‘smart and powerful’. They tried to ban the ”B” word along with the oh-so-evil “N” word…but liberals will haul the “B” tag out again and hang it on Carly. The fact that Carly is a sensible, good looking woman will enrage the fat old grey haired liberal women with bad haircuts. The younger feminist fatties and slags will resent her on her looks too – and will see her as a threat to Hillary whom they regard as a beloved grandmother. The female demographic will sink Carly as surely as it did with Palin. The truth is that most men don’t like ‘powerful women’ – and women absolutely loathe them.
    I love Carly, she could certainly do a better job than the baboon that’s doing it now…but the electorate will not accept her.

  19. I don’t think you can compare Sarah Palin and Carly Fiorina. Palin made a career out of slagging off the media for being mean to her. Carly takes the fight directly to them and beats them at their own game and clearly enjoys herself while doing it. People like a happy warrior. And a lot of Republican voters are desperate for someone who fights back.

    Don’t be so sure. Carly made some critical technical(besides Clinton) points during the debate that will attract serious money….The game masters will insure she plays a role.. Hers to lose.. IMHO she is a better CEO than Trump and can bring solutions to serious problems…

    Those of us in the tech industry are less impressed by her track record there.
    Personally, when it comes to campaigning I’d love to see a presidential candidate focus solely on the powers and duties of the POTUS: foreign policy, appointments, and executing legislation in accordance with the Constitution. And I want a fairy unicorn that sings rainbows and poops ice cream. Questions about the environment or the economy or education should be punted with “That’s not the responsibility of the Office of the President, nor of the federal government.”

    Personally, when it comes to campaigning I’d love to see a presidential candidate focus solely on the powers and duties of the POTUS: foreign policy, appointments, and executing legislation in accordance with the Constitution. And I want a fairy unicorn that sings rainbows and poops ice cream. Questions about the environment or the economy or education should be punted with “That’s not the responsibility of the Office of the President, nor of the federal government.”

  23. She is unusual for a senior executive- she engages problems by arguing for her solution, rather than going with the consensus. She will close with Hillary, and destroy her hollow positions one by one, while pushing true solutions, not just 3, 5, or 10 year bandaids to get past the next election.
    And the fact that HP fired her does not necessarily mean much, as she certainly did not ruin the company. Steve Jobs was sacked by his board, and it was a huge mistake.

  24. I answered two phone polls and both times pick CF as my #1 pick for the GOP nomination.
    In fact, I posted here a few weeks/months back that if someone is asked whom they support, they should choose a lower tiered candidate to help them get to the big stage.
    Anyways, I was not at all suprised at CF’s performance; as its been generally accepted by the pundits that she(besides Trump) has run the best campaign up to now.
    Personally, I was also impressed with Rick Perry, Marco Rubio and Kaisik(sp?)
    My early prediction is: Kaisik/Rubio in that order.
    It makes the most sense politically, considering they need Ohio and Florida; and both have an ‘inclusive’ message.
    Rubio should be the VP; period!

    The company’s value cratered under her executive leadership, at a time when other tech companies were doing at least par. Turning a tech hardware company into a services company has been done successfully exactly once, and it only worked because it was IBM and they decided to take fifteen years to do it. Much of Fiorina’s tenure at HP displays a stunning lack of understanding of why things were the way they were at HP, and a desire to impose bold, sweeping change based on personal vision rather than a deep understanding of what the company was already good at.
    I don’t think any of this is all that relevant to running for POTUS because a President is not a CEO. But that’s why she shouldn’t be running on her record as a CEO; the best spin you can put on her record is that it’s irrelevant to the job.
