  1. So am I supposed to feel sorry for their plight? Because I really don’t and for the record those saudi carpetbaggers WANTED to lower the price of oil in order to target North American producers.
    OPEC NEEDS GTFO

  2. What’s the problem? The center of world-wide terrorism has to “borrow” a piddling amount of bucks to keep financing the Jihad?

  3. I think that KSA is discovering that running an Air Campaign and defending against ISL is an expensive venture.

  4. All the traveling boors like Jane Fonda, Neil Young, Moonbeam Brown of California opposing the pipeline and our Oil Sands here have to be supporters of Saudi oil ergo all they do. How else could they jet around the world to protest? It’s obvious the concept of ethics never enters their tiny minds either.

  5. Liz;
Last I checked California was still producing its version of heavy oil. That’s OK.
The proposed Greece deal and treaty with Iran will drive WTI down further. A buying
    opportunity IMHO.

  6. I read that OPEC has been donating to the usial anti-fracking eco-freaks Go Figure

    Nailed it!
After all what money? The Saudis figured out they could just Greece any western suckers by borrowing money.
The biggest joke for them is that they can now use direct western money to fund terrorism directly against the west.

  8. California still produces a very heavy tar which is shipped to Alaska to be refined.
I know because I have worked on the tar-barge in Victoria.
Wonder what the aging, ugly jet flying has beens have to say about that.
That stuff cannot be moved without being heated with steampipes which line the bunkers.

  9. Canada exports 3 million bpd to the USA. If the Harper government does not realize that Canada is on the Saudi hit list, big time, they are likely to lose the fall election. The amount unions pay towards a media campaign to defeat the CPC is probably peanuts compared to what the Saudis and Russians are kicking in.
I fully expect a media ‘storm’ come the dropping of the writ. Whoever has the money will be able to finance a media agenda that drives the campaign focus. Since this situation has existed for several years one has to assume that the Harper government is aware and has a plan. I have certainly talked to my MP about it. I can almost guarantee that if it was the USA based Heritage Foundation sending millions $’s to the CPC Party there would be a uproar in this country. The vast majority of Canadians have no idea that this is happening.

  10. CT you are 100% bang on the CAD.!
For those that would like to enlighten themselves on this subject: Ie; who funds the “useful idiots” aka: Eco Zombies..???
Google Vivan Krause. She researched and published an excellent t paper on just who and where the money comes from…it sure as hell isn’t local Canadian donations to Green Piss.
One only has to follow the money really. Ask yourself WHO would benefit from seeing a total Shutdown of the Oil Sands..??
Well the US for one and OPEC for another.
    Cheers,
    sTk

  11. at their seminar a few years back
tells me they have had to move to the crappy rock too.

  12. The anti-oilsands money I can understand but it’s Saudi money sent to the west that builds the fancy mosques and supplies the radical immans. How will that work out in the end since many of the radicals hate the house of Saud?

  13. Because it is bribe money the House of Saud has paid to keep the radicals at bay in Saudi Arabia. Sure, in the long run it will turn on them but biting the hand that feeds
you will work for now. ISIS is to busy in Syria and Iraq right now to take the Saudis out.
As the USA shifts foreign ME policy to accommodate Iran the more precarious the Saudi
position. IMHO the Iranians are better allies.

  14. Good day CT; I think most Canadians do understand the foreign and I include the U.S.A. oil interests of funding the Tides-Canada and First Nation activist meme. The reality is will they understand the level of hypocrisy which the Liberal Party of Canada/Ontario will go to discredit Canadian oil interests?
Obviously whatever motivated the Alberta Electors to turf the long term Conservative Rule of Alberta; whether it was time for a change or a recognition there needed to be house cleaning of vested interest/cronyism inherent in all long term entities, only the Albertans know.
However and I firmly believe this the number of East-Coasters traveling to Alberta did not bring down the Conservatives. The men from Atlantic Canada who make the move from home for employment are not the ones sitting on their hands waiting for a Government minion to hand them a living. Those are the Atlantic Canada people who remain in the “help-me-please-Mr. government official” crowd content to live on the dole.
Rather I think the reason for the political turmoil is the hypocrisy of the Wild-Rose leader and the picture is worth a thousand words “big, fat bellied Prentice, who operated at the federal level under the Political Acumen of Stephen Harper and has proven Prentice to really be a second rate leader. P.M. Harper understood this long ago and that’s why Prentice left the Federal Cabinet years ago.

  15. “However and I firmly believe this the number of East-Coasters traveling to Alberta did not bring down the Conservatives.”
    Please stop calling them Conservatives.
All of the conservative seats moved to Wild Rose 2 elections ago, there were no conservative MPs in the PC government last election.
If the Eastern immigrants voted PC to keep the Progressives in power, then they are responsible for the NDP government.
Those of us who voted Wild Rose are never going back to the Progressives, last election proved clearly proved that.
If the Easterners want something better than the NDP, they better wake up and smell the roses.

  16. I have no idea why Alberta would elect an NDP government, but after seeing what Bob Ray did to Ontario after just 5 years in power and what the wanna be dictator Mulcair would do if elected things do not look good. Then there is the total idiot of the self balancing budgets who has never even held a real job and has someone paying his bills from his trust fund every month. Harper has some faults but he is still head and shoulders above the rest.
