Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

With numbers like that it’s a wonder the Greek pensioners don’t chip in and buy us. elect socialist progressives and that’s what you get: self-immolation and conservatives questioning the sanity of their neighbours and/or relocation.
That is so GAY!
Isn’t it the fault of Harper with his “one trick pony” oil economy with unskilled workers in AB making $100,000 a year, crowding out “400,000 well paid manufacturing jobs?” All this Alberta prosperity has really hurt Canada eh?
Ontario, Greece, Wynne, Trudeau, Mulcair, the EU, Quebec – it’s not hard to connect the dots. Soon Mulcair will try to woo Quebec voters with free stuff courtesy of NDP NEP/equalization/tax grab. Big problem: the NDP needs Quebec & the Tories don’t – so bribing Quebec is dead to voters and the Tories can win a majority without her; and, the way Notley is killing productivity in AB with her decarbonization policies, who benefits from AB equalization will soon be a purely academic question as the Dippers crush their provincial economy. The socialist end game is to convert every province into have-not status, equal misery for all in the name of climate justice, except for the gated intelligentsia communities. They’ll make out just fine – for now.
Equalization is free stuff for taxpayers in tax & spend provinces and carbon taxes are free stuff for governments. Both promote false entitlement, envy & class warfare, but never economic freedom. If Greece gets away with her defiant nonsense (too cool to fail) maybe the NDP can succeed in convincing voters here to commit economic suicide. I doubt it but never discount the ability of the voter to self-destruct, to not be careful what they wish for.
Shamrock….. That graph should be posted on every post, fence, and telephone pole in AB. Plus every office with even a sniff of gubermint monies. Mind you,it is to simple for leftwards to understand and for the LIV’s who voted NOTly Crüe in.
That’s just great. Wynne will think that Standard and Poor just gave her an A+ on the economy.

Well the American Socialist (communist’s) has convinced the Moron Class to Piss on the Heritage of George Patton (Battle flag). Who would think they would have shown themselves as that brave or just plain Stupid.
It should be no surprise to no one that the politicians don’t really care about blowing money left and right and front and back.
It is sort of self-aggrandizement on their part.
Those that benefit will praise them.
Those who care are ignored.
And of course the news manufacturers, being beneficiaries of the politicians, will run interference to cover for them.
You can tell the difference.
A rare honest politician is sacked as soon as it becomes apparent.
It is why they have all those other causes, it distracts the population to such an extent that they will agree to just about anything.
We had a saying in the army: they will make you get used to a noose.
Yes they will. And you will like it. It is the way it works. Communists and socialists have done the studies and agree.
Socialism/fascism is on the march and so far the population at large are fine with it until the sheet hits the fan. By that time it will be rather late to complain.
It seems every generation has felt/said the next generation is going to hell….but we have progressed….till now…
I fear we will be the first generation to be right.
So true, and it is hard to watch especially for those whose families suffered for so long under the utopian largesse of the Soviet socialists. Chinese, Cubans, and more recently Venezuelans also have experienced these joys.
We may well yet experience what my late grandfather termed “Weltbegluker”, meaning “World joy bringers”.
How do you say Ontario in Greek?
A globalist economy from a global socialist regime – a governing cabal who cares so much for everybody but its own constituents.
This isn’t news. We’ve all been expecting this ever since the last Ontario provincial election. It’s the same thing that happened to the federal government in 1993 when the Wall Street Journal published fairly stark material about the bad state of federal finances. Give the devil his due, Jean Chretien took the danger seriously, and the federal deficit was gone within a decade. However, the federal government then had nowhere to go whining for more transfer payments. Ontario still thinks it does.
Here ya go, Ken (Kulak)….
Torathens, Greetario.
“How do you say Ontario in Greek?”
Phvcked????
If you’d like to see not only where we’ve been, but also where we’re going, Google “Tytler cycle”.
A+ mearse, C- is more like it.
A+ they are joking right ? C- is more like it.
Chretien and Martin ‘balanced’ the books by robbing Canadian’s unemployment contributions of over $50 Billion. That is BILLIONS.
Those devils never did get their due, which should have been at the end of a rope, or on the end of some con’s rope.
Thanks for the Greek language lesson.
Sadly, Greetarioans, like the Greeks, will not get out of the mess without pain. Greeks will blame the EU and Greetarioans will blame Harper.
And Mike Harris. He’s the reason the Liebrals have had to deal with deficit spending for the past ten or twelve years. Not their fault you see.
this is what libs call recognizable economic performance. Markon, they also down loaded billions of previous federal costs to the provinces.
coue, I think with all the levels of A that they use, A+ is second from the actual bottom.
Hehe… I would love to see that conversation between Harper and Wynne: ‘Oh, that’s too bad Kathleen, you mean these people are demanding so much interest in order to buy your bonds and you can no longer afford it? I suppose the prudent thing would be not to sell bonds then!
I had hoped my recollection of the debt and deficit of Ontario was completely in error. I have just done a little research.
2013. Debt is 288.10 billion dollars ( ref: Wikipedia).
Interest yearly on debt. 10.3 billion a year. ref: Tax Payer.com (2012/2013).
I am aware of the enormous resources and wealth of this huge province. So vast compared with many European countries. We are indeed blessed. Still, for future generations, education regarding the ramifications of debt should be made. Who will dare do this?
