Propaganda. We know it exists. This week we learned the full extent of Russian propaganda in the west but that isn’t all we are dealing with. There is also propaganda from Hollywood and elsewhere that is attacking our way of life, trying to guilt us into becoming something we are not. From hunting to driving a car, the propaganda machine aims to push the left’s agenda. And Brian talks to a Conservative politician that is making bureaucrats take away one regulation for every regulation they bring in.

You want to fight the Hollyweird propaganda machine?
Shut off your TV.
Unplug your radio.
Stop going to mainstream media “news” sites on the Interwebz and obviously stop buying the paper.
If you absolutely must have movies, buy them on DVD from the delete bin at Walmart. Lag time is about a year, even the big hits show up there eventually. Do not go to the theater, do not buy the overpriced popcorn.
By doing these things you rob the propagandists of their revenue stream. You starve them to death.
Why do you think there’s all the pro-illegal immigration propaganda out there? Hollyweird needs a new batch of suckers to consume their overpriced popcorn.

I find rampant Internet piracy a dandy way of getting my superhero fix without sending a pricing signal to the producers.
I had to stop watching Daredevil when it was clear the writers were intent on making Fisk more sympathetic than Matt Murdock.

Yeah, that was a thing. Just once I’d like to see the bad guy CHOOSE evil instead of having it thrust upon him. You know, like in real life.

This is my major problem with Conservatives. They talk about merely preserving the status quo as if it was some kind of huge victory. Its better than Shiny Pony, but that’s like being shot in the foot is better than having your whole leg blown off.
Show me a guy who cuts a bureaucrat’s budget by a million bucks every time they bring in a new regulation. Show me a guy who finds every supernumerary in a department and then fires them all. Show me a guy who makes them cut FIVE regulations a week and doesn’t let them bring in anything.
Our government is gigantic. It could be cut in HALF and we would never notice. I don’t want that. I want it cut so much that I do notice. I want to notice hordes of unemployed public sector unionists rioting in front of Parliament, burning cop cars and getting dragged off in plastic cuffs on TV. I want to notice my economy growing and companies begging on the streets for workers. BEGGING for people to come and work. I want to see my tax bill drop from 50% to 10%.
Take away one old reg for every new one ain’t going to get us there.

The entrenched left in the simple service not only makes firing them near impossible but even reducing by attrition is difficult.
Despite years of conservative governments ENVIROMENT CANDA continues to spout AGW nonsense. Justice Canada continues to repeat Brady Campaign lies and the RCMP experts ban more firearms….because….
Maintaining the statis quo at this point is a signal achievement. Ya gotta stabilize the front before you can go on the offensive….in politics/policy simple counter attacks waste political capital.
