Polling Alberta points to a minority led by:
The Wildrose
http://metronews.ca/news/calgary/1334947/alberta–wildrose-pcs-and-ndp-in-statistical-tie-suggests-new-survey/
That means a minority govt. a government of Alberta if you will. People can vote their core beliefs and allegiance without fear of the party that holds views on the opposite end of the spectrum winning a majority.
That I believe is what a majority of Albertans want.
That must have been the kindergarden this guy went to. He’s special too.

This could be a good time to invest in the potential of the Iron Lung industry. A lot of diseases including Polio could be making a come back.

Hey, that “song” sounded suspiciously like “Frere Jaques” – that’s the crime of appropriating someone else’s culture. Where are the outraged leftists triggered by this?
Aviator: Re: Frere Jaques.
I doubt that ”Frere Jaques” was protected by copyright laws. It dates back to the late 1700s in France. First published in 1811. Please don’t taunt the left on this–first thing you know–they’ll blame PM Harper or Sen. Duffy!!
This one will reverberate in your head for a couple days!!

I think I just managed a chunky eructation.
For years CBC’s ”Fifth Estate” has produced some interesting reports. For some reason or another, they seem to focus on Conservative scandals. I recently send them a note asking for the times and dates of any programs they may have produced with regards to ”SPONSORGATE.”
I’ve yet to receive an answer.

PS: Did you notice that the site is closed for commenting–before they’ve received one single comment!! Hmmmmm!!
There is in Canada a partially complete ” WALKING TRAIL” in but I understand it is still only a “partial”trail.
THe WOODS TENT COMPANY ( sposoring a WALK ON THAT TRAIL ) have so far ignored my queery in that regard.
Can some SDA commenter with more knowledge on that “trail” please comment here at SDA , SOON?
I AM expecting a serious but informative comment regarding that Canada wide “walking trail” here at SDA.
Is it TOO MUCH for an 83 year old to attempt to walk?
Just wondering.
JOE MOLNAR Woodstock, Ontario, Canada
JOE, it’s called the ‘Trans Canada Trail’, lots of information is available on the internet. It’s a linking up of all different kinds of regional trails across the country, the objective being to make it physically possible to walk across the country. It’s not an efficient design for a direct hiking path across the country, the wandering and meandering of the regional trails would probably triple or more the distance from sea to sea. As for an 83-year-old embarking on a hike for thousands of miles, you should know by now about aging bones and joints and connective tissue. An 83-year-old might shuffle along for a day or two or three but I would think a ride off the trail in a stretcher would be as inevitable as gravity.

Here’s something we won’t see on MSNBC any time soon:
http://www.onenewsnow.com/church/201…e#.VSaCxJ3F98E
More than 34,000 black churches from 15 denominations, representing 15.7 million African Americans, have pulled away from the Presbyterian Church (USA) because of its newly declared endorsement and acceptance of same-sex “marriage” through a recent vote.
A good read:
http://www.hoover.org/research/war-against-religious-liberty
“Something similar happened in Craig v. Masterpiece Cakeshop when its proprietor Jack Phillips refused to bake a custom wedding cake for a gay couple. The Colorado Civil Rights Commission ordered him to bake the wedding cake. In a public hearing, one of its commissioners, Diann Rice, added pointedly: “Freedom of religion and religion has been used to justify all kinds of discrimination throughout history, whether it be slavery, whether it be the Holocaust . . . we can list hundreds of situations where freedom of religion has been used to justify discrimination. And to me it is one of the most despicable pieces of rhetoric that people can use . . . their religion to hurt others.” Among the remedies proposed was a “reeducation” order for Phillips and his staff, a solution more appropriate for a totalitarian regime than for our free nation.”
I am going to reread Arthur Koestler’s Darkness at Noon:
“Show us not the aim without the way.
For ends and means on earth are so entangled
That changing one, you change the other too;
Each different path brings other ends in view.”
The trans Canada trail ran into trouble when it came up against private landowners. They didn’t want the problems associated with hikers and their resultant problems (trash, trespass, toilets etc) on their land. Who would blame them?
So were left with the same trans Canada trail that Terry Fox, Steve Fonyo et al used…..
Here is a good article about the Quebec students. A Quebec comedian did a man on the street interview with many of the students asking them about currant affairs. The results are frightening or laughable depending upon one’s viewpoint. File this under “The children are our future”

The CBC’s lead reporter, “Laura Payton” wrote this gem;
“He recorded fundraising ads, robocalls and other party bumpf.”
Does that not sound like she may be a bit biased in her coverage?
Leisuresuit Larry still using the same pickup lines he used years ago on campus.
Oh shiny, glitter starlight
doesn’t everyone want one on their street?
You go first.

I would be interested to know whether Colorado’s so-called “Civil Rights Commission” (not to mention such similar bodies as may exist in other states) is as bad a kangaroo court as are Canada’s vile “human rights commissions”.
Quebec students: “We don’t know what we want, but we want it now!”
This ‘special’ bit has been around a long time. Remember a friend’s reaction after her son came home from school saying he was special. Her reaction was simple: yes, he was special, but so were his father, his mother, his big brother, and his baby sister. And special people still had to clean up after themselves and take out the garbage.
